    I'm from Northern Ireland and half the stuff you have listed is absolute rubbish. Maybe you should come over and see for yourself, instead of spouting complete and utter rubbish on a public forum whether in jest or not. No beans for the ill-educated.

    I saw a lootable building whilst driving on the motorway on the way to work. I also see snipers in the far distance when i close my eyes. Must. Take. A. Break.

    Just got shot, unarmed.

    It's all down to chance. Some players are bandits, some choose to try and work with others. Come across a bandit and they will kill you without so much as a 'How's yer father'. Come across another survivor and they would either leave you be or help you out. For all you know other survivors may have spotted you and left you be, you were just unfortunate you came across a cold-blooded murderer. I just don't get why the need to post here giving off about it. What fun would the game be without the element of danger and sudden death that those pesky bandits will dole out. Maybe this game isn't for you bud....

    Fire would be an awesome addition to the game... am thinking campfires unattended going out of control and burning whole forrests down. A zed on fire in the night would be fairly epic also. In short.... yes to fire. :)

    An ingame jam session could be awesome. I shall look/listen out for you, though I'm sure there would be a weird delay between the 2 guitars.... ....and so the Dayz Space Jammeth was born. lol

    Bought Arma specifically for this mod...

    Great tip for keeping a sense of direction is to take note of the angle of shadows of buildings, trees, your own character..... you can then use this to stay roughly on the right track. Before I figured this out I spent hours running round in circles wondering why when i headed inland I always ended up at the coast. Of course a map and a compass would negate the need for shadow-reading. lol

    It does take a while to get the hang of the controls, but invest the time and it will reward you immensely.

    I got sorted thanks to Aggroschnarre who came by truck and delivered morphine in a timely manner. Took about 15 minutes in all. Got in to truck only for my character to flip to a different location, then back and forth for a long time due to some bug. Ended up Aggroschnarre just give me a shot of morphine once my character stayed in the right location. Give me 3 more morphine also. Unfortunately due to the weird bug the truck vanished. Hope you make it back okay Aggroschnarre and I will be in contact as soon as I get some nightvision goggles for you. Cheers!!!!

  17. I'm following a number of threads on this topic and the same pattern emerges. Someone points out that since the update the zombies can not only see, but identify a survivor from very, very far off whilst either crouched or prone. Then the posturing begins, where those who think this new zombie behaviour is a good thing and not a bug at all, glossing over the fact that it doesn't make sense that a zombie can identify a survivor from extreme distances, making the distinction that you are a survivor and not another zombie. Yeah, we get it, the new zombies are harder and that's what you like. The rest of us have no problem with zombies being even harder to deal with, what we have a problem with is the fact that their behaviour at times now makes little to no sense. I for one think it's a bug. If intentional it should be dialled back a bit as it doesn't promote stealth, but rather a run and pray, or crawl for hours approach to the game and neither of those make much sense in terms of what the game is supposed to be about. Look at the forums and you'll see all this new zombie behaviour does is promote running to a loot point then disconnecting and respawning to get rid of the zombie horde that have chased you.

  19. Going by this logic, surely it would be more realistic if the zed went through an investigation phase were he moves faster than normal towards you. The reason being, how can he tell you are human and not just another infected?
  20. This thread is somewhat confusing. On one hand you have the users who think the update has made the zombies harder and are glad of it. On the otherhand you have users saying it's too tough. What I want to know is: - Are zombies supposed to be able to spot you if you are prone, in long grass, not moving and from plus 50 meters? That's what I have encountered when playing with the new patch. - Are zombies suppose to aggro from 100 meters plus away? Surely if they notice you from that distance they would go into stalk mode, before getting close enough to identify you as a surivor and thus go full aggro and chase you. To me the zombies behaviour is now too unpredictable, but maybe that's what is wanted. I found it hard enough before the update and would have thought just increasing the zombie count, especially in cities, would have sufficed. Also, zombie animations and the issue with zombies aggroing outside through walls and buildings is a major issue.

  23. Hey, Check out me video below and let me know if you know who the player named bcbudz is. I came across him in the city and he gave me my first gun. I tried to chat with him but found I had to bind a key to chat and eventually was able to say hi and thanks to him. We soon encountered a horde of zombies and in the confusion I shot said surivivor in the leg, then he disappeared (I don't blame him lol). If you know of this player or how I can get in touch with him please let me know as I feel really bad about what went down. As you can see from the video I'm a total noob at the game, so if you come across me in the game yer best double tapping me, though In saying that, I'm more of a threat to myself than to others.
