  1. i've played a bit of zero..not bad. since 1.8 i came back to regular and it's my favourite. i'll give for sure a try to caribou since it features zero enterable buildings and regular settings+namalsk climate..seems awesome

    and western weapons in a country where the army has a different stock, means they are owned by collectors, and if i'm right they should be only semiautomatic..it'd make more sense to have them ultra rare in a civilian loot than in a russian base. they should load the game with eastern block gear..i can imagine only exceptions to this..like weapons carried by special units or a imaginary western task force..crash sites fit this..

    At leadt some kind of accidents while practicing any advanced medical treatment should occur sometimes. And if irl this happens almost in hospitals where you can take countermeasures, I wanna see shit and blood spraying when happens in the old fields..it would be logic to see an increased number of infections after you treat someone in field hygienic conditions..so we'll need emergency kits, heparin, and a use of epi pens and preventive use of antibiotics
  7. posting about the new patch, which brought us away antibiotics, ghillie and camo suits from civilian loot drops i thought a couple of things. dayz has always been military focused because it comes from arma, and this will hardly change. think about the watch, the compass,the map, backpacks and clothings in general.. now..about SA i'm sure we will have a lot of civilian loot, both clothes and backpacks and i hope, gear. about the mod, i'd like to see some new models: colored backpacks, some camping piece of gear you could pickup sacrificing camuflage for more space, maybe also tents. i'm a hero, i've already a shiny shirt, a camo backpack isn't going to change shit! a map without altitudes or forests, just roads, in addiction to the actual version. i'd like to see a sort of civilian medical box, with antibiotics and lighter painkillers,bandages and a reduced loot table in numbers(like one two pieces instead of 10 20) like the one we all have at home, a civilian cooking knife, able to gut only a few pieces of meat(less than hunting knife). i've always been happy with an enfield and a revolver, with my mid end gear in general..lone wolfing you are not going to need all that military gear, since you are going to loose it. i don't see how my gaming experience is going to be more satisfying having to go to the barracks, a small building in a huge map, to find a big backpack or some meds. you are going to log in, farm and pvp, log out or, on the other hand, do nothing in a bush. i'd prefere to have to follow a route, different from stary-nwa to earn loot...like i log in, visit a few towns, pvp , log out in a completely different location everytime. make traveling a useful experience, make searching for something, different from visiting the same place again and again! obviously i don't want m24 spawning in a brickhouse, but i see limitations in this patch loot system..i've been hanging in the same places every time i played, even on more hives.. this way the game is forcing you to go to a military upgrade, while i'm sure, a lot of players will be happy with a civilian set up, as i'm sure this wouldn't steal any traffic to military hotspots. maybe it's just my playstyle, i've always felt i was ok once i had something capable to hit a guy farther than 200m..i rangefind on map or with mildots, i use flares when i need, i eat everything and i've my places to pitch my tent...

    it doesn't work with crafting some shit+the effect of morphine but added to the new recipe, does it? i'd like to be able to do that, but i think it's my computer that uses me and not viceversa.

    i agree with you..just the fact to have it, make the situation worse. people think they are invulnerable.. the ''realistic'' discussion is total crap..since in a few cases you are actually transfused with ''full'' blood, first step is phisiologic solution, next plasma, next blood and there are many kinds of hemocomponents you may need specifically. sticking to our topic, soldiers knowadays have a catheter when they go in action, to not have to find a vein, that would take time, you could damage or brake it, you could find a closed one, a transfusion takes time: 2-4 ml/Kg/hour (a unit of blood is 450ml) or you'll die from hypervolemia you can have fever or hemolisys after a transfusion with blood.. blood and the major part of hemocomponents are conserved for a maximum of 42 days at 2-4°C, and must be kept agitated while brought at 30-36°C before injection...must i go on?

    patch works good for me..i like how loot spawns now..beans everywhere felt too weird, tent was buggy though, lost it in a restart . i must agree with the objections against removing some military/medical equiment from civilian loot tables: -antibiotics are everywhere, no matter how a house has been looted, you should be able to find something to calm a fever, i loved to go back to brick houses to search for ABs, makes a small town worth a visit. -ghillie..i'm ok with that, but camo is ridicolous..how many of those are you going to find if you scavenge an apartment building in a country with compulsory military service and where hunting is a common sport? -backpacks: same thing as for camo. just add a colored model to sim a civilian camping backpack if you feel it's too gamey. and when are we going to see a splint for those broken ''bones''?

    not if you are shooting moving or with the stance survivors have while on their feet imo. different recoil would be better than slowing a weapon designed to fire as fast as your finger goes. in the distance you should have trouble to stay on target if you shoot like 90% of ''sharp''shooters do in dayz

  14. +1 this idea. think about you hide your pistol in your backpack, get a pick up as ''unarmed friendly'' and suddenly the driver's trip in kamenka becomes a nightmare
  15. more than a SP mode or an editor i'd like to see a ''tutorial'' mode, with features explained and simulated situations (like undefire in the open, or broken wheel, or starving) SP just like a limited habitat where learn basics and even some more, a sandbox in the sandbox.

  19. hi, i've searched the forums but play+dead brings up every fucking topic.. and if we'd be able to fake our death? i mean proning and assuming a dead stance. unarmed survivor could play dead in elektro FS while the nasty bandit who killed all those guys is still around. - being able to open guys' inventory now makes this possible and only studying a body you could find out he's alive. -being shot and lose line of sight could save your life by faking your death..some loot(how much can a bandit carry?) instead of a whole life lost.

    i don't think this , even if implemented, would be a first rank countermeasure against killing. but could be useful when you find yourself defenceless in a bad situation. like a firestation crowded with other bodies

    since matches spawn in ''hunter locations'' like castles, deerstands and farms, you can avoid completely towns. search for medical stuff at night or pray to be lucky in an industrial compound. snipers and ambushes are hard to avoid, especially if you travel on a bright blue coffin on wheels...

    this in SA could be resolved by the messages on screen: you are thirsty etc.---could be..the body seems to breath/moves not everybody could think about flyes..also cause i didn't read nothing about them in SA AND they could come lately and not instantly in SA it's a solution to situations where you'll be already at high risk of death. and i'm sure not everybody will go checking or double tapping all the bodies he found/killed, plus checking a body is something you actually do IRL and could be easily added to our gameplay without obsessing it too much or breaking it. and yes we'd need better wounds rendering.
  24. i think it's worse if you kill someone after he just finishes to repair a chopper. or if you destroy a huge hoard of vehicles and tents. in op's case i'd simply alt+tab arma and leave surivor alone starving for the needed time while i watch/do something else

    i suggest you to watch it from another device, laptop or pad or mobile. dayzcentral is an app of mobile phone i found really worthy, you must pay to improve the map and see the loot. but as i've done, you'll just get used to the map even without loot, you'll learn what to find in locations you previously seen and you 'll need just the basic map, watching the shape of buildings.
