    Epinephrine to slow blood loss?

    it helps blood flow through the heart, raises the pressure and constricts peripheral blood vessels. it's useful when you have lost a lot of blood, but when you havean emorrhage you must rehintegrate fluids and stop the bleeding via mechanic intervention, it's useless to slow the blood loss if you don't stop it completely. it would have more sense to make a plasma transfusion(this is the actual system to treat blood loss in combat, soliders have a vein catheter to quickly apply plasma) so this would be a good idea also ingame to me, with the effect of raising your blood level without making the black and white screen and shaking disappear and stopping for a while the passing out.so maybe a plasma tranfusion would raise your blood we say about plus 3000-4000 and then an adjustment to plus 2000. adrenaline in emt is for when you are already passed out with serious cardiac alterations and pressure fall the treatment consists of 1-2mg every 4 minutes so a single injection won't have so much effect.. then is for the treatment of anaphylactic shock, making it a standard loot in every pharmacy sorry for the english but it's a difficult topic!

    ok, maybe with the axe you won't eat filet mignon, but 8 steaks from a whole cow... you can collect them with a wood stick! the sounds are weird because of arma2..but there are sound mods to make them feel better, don't bother, films compromised what people think a silencer is. for the doors i don't know what to say..it's a minor issue! look how we climb ladders!!!!! about the dehydratation, everybody knows, but if you should have to drink only when you need it, no one will care about that and you would drink a can every 2-3 sessions of gaming and even more. i think that's when you want to drink, not when you need it..the survivors are tamagochis, you want them to be happy! new gun new car, a coke a steak! yeah they should be fixed, i agree and i'm totally for realism

    Will DayZ Stadalone Survive ?

    private hives are not recorded by stats, but they are moreless playing the same game, it's not the starting makarov that makes this game what it is. this part of the community has developed because the private hives offer you an experience free from some exploit that the mod wasn't able to get rid of. the price will be certainly a factor but i hope that we won't have too many 11 years old players, or at least that the game will be so diffcult to see piles of children bodies
  6. you can go with the kamenka/komarovo/balota/cherno route, or the Kamenka/zeleno/vybor/NWA routes, or the solnichny berezino.. you don't have any vehicle spawn/repair guide, don't you? so this would complete a bit more your anthology the cqb guide i think it's needed, i see a lot of people shooting like in the old west movies..(and dieing) edit: now that i think, a video showing what you find making a loot run from kamenka going north and going east compared and in aproximatively the same time would be interesting i voted raiding camps, so you could watch the amount of duping occurring nowadays..i remember when you used to find 10x of everything in any tent..

    yeah buddy, i'm sure it's because everyone is playing war inc. you are talking about something which happens for everything in life...but this is not the case i think..you see less youtube videos, but you don't really know how many people are playing. i'm playing also baldur's gate 2, and everyone would say that it's a dead game too, but they just released a new version..so the real question is: will dayz standalone sell a gazyllion of copies or not? because once it's released it's sure it will survive, you could say it won't have a huge player base, you can say it won't become a mass effect like other games are, think cod..but it's probable that the mod too will survive, like maybe war inc will survive war inc. this is my answer..don't worry! you'll die a lot also in SA!
  8. the last time i decided to walk around elektro a bit more, instead of going north, i ended with the bandit skin, 4 murders and one bandit kill ALL IN SELF DEFENCE. with your solution i'd have a big disadvantage due to the fact that i didn't want to die. a lot of people, maybe just because they die a lot killed by players, decide to kill on sight and they act like bandits even if they have the survivor skin. the bandit outfit makes everyone shoot at you, also when you are unarmed, even more than if you have the survivor or hero skin. then i must say that i often have friendly encounters, once i met a guy inside the cornershop at STARY and we just said ''hello'' to eachother and kept looting. tl;dr: there are friendlies and bandits, you play how you want, you trust who you want the hero skin is an advantage, the bandit skin a disadvantage but you have more loot.

    Some noob questions

    ok, look at dayzdb.com there is an awesome map about loot and stuff. then yes, because it's a mod for now you cannot enter a lot of building..things will change with standalone and if you give a try to the other maps(try dayzcommander to run your game, because it's a really intuitive and good program) in warz you don't have those medical problems because you can run and fix and fire at the same time..here there is a different rhythm..you'll need some attempt and some effort to get rid of some of the mechanics of the game and i suggest you to try to play some arma2 as well as play more, don't be afraid to die and to try what style works for you better. you can distract zombies with smoke grenades, but the animation sucks so be sure to not throw them while you have aggro and you are outside a building where zombies can run so fast that you'll be dead before completing the throw. also road flares distract them a bit..good luck and welcome to the real shit p.s. if you have broken bones the respawn button is enabled and you can die and have a fresh start on the coast

    once i deleted my primary weapon putting it in my full backpack,but i found out that if i have the time to do this bullshit i maybe can put the guy down.. but i eat all food/drinks and take as many meds as i can so the guy won't take too much advantage from my death..in the north finding a morphine can make the difference between living or dieing in berezino's hospital..

  17. you can take it in your backpack and switch to it fast as with another rifle( a lot of people keep 2 primaries, one in the backpack..) and about the video, i think that you avoided the worst part of cherno: the apartments buildings. this because you have been really lucky..i understand the urge to go away (coyote and dmr) but for academic reasons it would have been better to show also how to loot that tactic hell, even if the best way is don't do it at all, sometimes you find nothing in the rest of town and your only choice is going there..

    Hate to ask...

    i suggest to download dayzcommander or playwithsix to better managment of the mod and patches..but probably you already read something about on the forum...have a nice experience on dayz!
  23. your hero skin shows that you put a lot of efforts in being friendly..a lot of people just prefere not taking the risk to make a pacific contact with others..i found since my first games that in the big towns the major part of people only wants a nice weapon and someone giving them a blood transfusion..poor bambies
  24. i know the answer is probably ''yes'', but my topic wants to go in a different direction: why the majority if not all the maps ( i must confess i never played taviana or celle or utes or takistan) have a big point of interest? why there is always a place which is better for looting than anyother? i know that if you play a few hours on a map, you'll have more and different needs(food, ammo, vehicles,meds,friends) but when you want to score, or prevail on the others in struggle for surviving, or just have an interesting game session, you must go there. it can be because they are all suggestive places..it can be because they are an occasion to meet someone else and kill him, a hunt, a fight different from those filthy lee enfield kills in elektro..it can be obviously because the best stuff lays there..or a combination of these things.. i take NWA like example: you spot one of the big concrete walls and you start smelling the danger, the place is crouded with infected, even if there aren't other players, you can loot amazing stuff and you can sit on the top floor of the control tower knowing you made your day. it's quite an emotion compared to going away from cherno glad to have found matches.. so would be the same this game without these locations? the before said needs, playing in groups and fixing vehicles ,heli crash sites,would maybe make the mod completely enjoiable in any case, but do you know someone who played a decent number of hours never been there? or among those ''not interested'', someone who didn't stay well far , or who didn't turn away from these spots? i'm not making those places mighty, but it's clear that they are a big attraction for players..you don't say: well i'm geared i go to the west,on chernarus..but you say i go to the north. you can play a bit around the airfield and go there only when you feel lucky or the server is empty, or you can speed there with your hatchet..but how can you avoid that completely? i also know that they aren't the only place to go, when a map is balanced (actually in fallujah, after 4-5 cornershops you really WANT to go in a barrack..), there are a lot of things to do, a lot of good locations, but you can clearly recognize the big loot pile in every map.. so what do you think about? should this trend keep going also in SA? to me: yes, i like going there when i feel lucky. thanks for reading and sorry if i made some mistake writing
