Ya I get you point. That sucks and well since there is no point to the game but running from point A to point B and trying to live. I'll stick by my other posts and state there is alot of exploiting going on and it is runing the game just as much as all the other hacks. The must be a Magical Unicorn spawn point on the map because I have yet to see anything like these other guys are finding.

Oh ya, good point man It's a bottle of Asprin so there should be 50 to 100 pills. Like Morphine fixing broken bones where IRL does not which I find silly. -

I was in Balota cleaning up the Army Base and a dude wonders in. Right offthe bat I'm a .10 of second from wasting this guy. He gives me the Q and E wave so I'm like well I'll give him a chance. Up until this point I dumped all the odds and ends into one tent. So here is a pile of guns and ammo and everything else that spawned. I tell him hey check this out. Follow me. Now I'm sure he's thinking some bad stuf but I show him the stash. I guess it made his day and I told him take whatever you need. After all this stuff spawns al the time, I was looking for specific items and I had those so giving the rest out was never a big deal. On one other time I met up with two players in Stary Sobor. Aaron and I rounded the corner and almost killed each other needless to say being caustious we worked it out and got organized. Low on health Aaron needed beans and what not so anything I found I gave to him. A short time Later Jim shows up. We had a good time chatting and working on getting a LADA up and running but found out that everything was broken on it and the driver side rear wheel was bugged. It was cool up until someone decided to use our chat against us and rolled in with another bandit friend After Jim and Aaron aggroed a bunch of zombies. Jim was shot from an unknown location and Aaron engaged one bandit. I was stuck in one of the buildings. I used the angles of windows to spot the baddies and as one made a break for it up the hill he got some love from my AK he fell and DC'd right after I put the second burst into him. NOt a great ending but met two stand up players that made my night. -
Crossbows and Bows in real life really good In this game they are too cumbersome, not accurate and bolts take up too much room. Recovery of a bolt is a pain in the ass and slip shot a best.

Lets face it hardcore types, gaming these days is closely nearing levels of the typical 4 year old mentality. However it's not only the gamers its the Devs who produce them . Simple games are that much more easy to make and reap the rewards to make a quick buck. Gaming has been dumbed down and simplyfied for the instant gratification crowd. Lets take a BF3 moment. Joe dumbass jumps into a 55 million dollar aircraft to fly it a quarter of a mile to jump out of it to capture a base. How dumb is that? But no worries the aircraft just spawn in a minute of so and Joe is off again to take yet another base by bailing out. So Joe comes here to DayZ ( free to play ) there are no 55 Million dollar aircraft to wreck, Here little to no vehicles at all and if you are lucky enough to find one you better have the smarts to keep it running. Joe does not know shit about staying alive. A game where every bean and bullet counts Jor can't handel the fucking pressure, he has no satifaction because the game is soooo hard. Joe goes two routes he rage quits or he goes out on the net and picks up the latest hacks and starts to ruin everyone elses fun. I dont want to cater to Joe or his types and every game these days has to be bullet proof to stop the hacking or exploiting. Joe is the spoiled child that is bred into scociety today. He never grew up fishing or hunting, he never really had to work hard or build anything. A rough day for him was having to do a chore or two around the house maybe clean his room. -

News flash Thats the real world, no fucking way do i want another BF3 where I have to shoot someone 15 times before they drop or the totally unrealistic gameplay. Here's the next best thing BODY ARMOR ( chest, legs and arms, helmet for head You can take a few hits to the main body maybe legs and arms. Lets you deal with a mistake maybe keeps you in the fight but allows your forgivness for dumb mistakes or ambush bandit tactics. -
I like it! lots of ideas for structures, fighting postions, barricaded buildings and what not floating around.

Zombie blood is black Human blood red / brown I suggested bloody hands and or gear at one time but a week or two of the posts were deleted by a hacker. So you would see a player and his hands and sleeves would be bloody with blood splatters on his clothing , gear or face. This could tell you if he had killed other players and would work at range. However the point is missed where self defense still make you a murder in this game. Player Bob sees player Tom. Bob decides he is low on beans or maybe it's just a bad day and he wants to kill Tom. So Bob takes a shot and misses. Tom has some skills so he flanks Bob and double taps Bob in the noggin. Congrats Tom is now a murderer for trying to save his own life, how the fuck is that fair? -
I know that a few people have asked for buildings or the ability to secure them. That makes sense and I like the idea. But heres my thought. A simple blind or fighting position. With the e-tool you can dig a postion that gives you cover and some concealment when you are in the prone this is like a hasty fighting position. Add more time to the process and you can dig a fighting position this allows you to stand on offers better protection. Add the hachet and option to collect brush you can camoflage the postion. Sand bags may also be used to offer additional protection however in agame at this point it looks like they only make a wall. Blinds - Using natural vegitation, With the hatchet you collect brush and create a imprompto blind. Blinds are not bullet proof but they hide your gear or tent or your position. This will hide your character in a prone or kneeling postion. Blinds - When combined in the same area can also hide vehicles.

I agree for some parts, Hackers ruin this game Poorly run servers ruin this game Clans exploiting their servers ruin this game No mechanics to detect Murderers ruin this game. The last one I can deal with, but the top three will destroy DayZ

I was on a sever a few days ago where I was attacked and when I returned fire and tossed out frag grenades I watched three players DC. I know I got one of them as my scopion barked 6 to 10 rounds onto ghille clad body. However the damage was already done, I bled out ( In a pile of brass and grenade spoons) but they lived and got my loot because If I did inflict damage to the bandits the DC stopped their bleeding and after jumping to another server bandaging and upping their health they got to re-log and loot my corpse or beam in at a safer location. As for the OPs douche-baggish approach of carebears and other slang I have to say that playing as a group and supporting each other is a great way to live. While I will not pretend that I never shot another player I have because there is no mechanic to tell good from bad. While the OP thinks killing everyone is a good policy I have to disagree you might be killing the guy who saves your life down the road. When you have a player dead to rights I trully believe the DC is nothing more than a denile of you being able to loot thier gear. You may have had the right to kill them and you have a right to loot them but by DC'ing you'll never get their shit and they know that and thats just anthother exploit.. -
Okay heres one I have not seen. Lots of grass and Hay laying around you know things that burn real easy. I'm thinking Flares and tracer rounds can set things on fire. For example you see the zombie horde milling about near a barn and you need to distract them, So you toss a flare, meh, not so distracting but then the grass starts on fire burnning towards the zombies ignighting thier clothing or causing a distraction. Smoke and Flame starts to roll along the ground and you get to the barn with little issue. It would also be a great tool to break contact with players. The smoke and flames make it hard for them to see you at range allowing your escape to safety.

Well the only way this would work if you had a radious around the area where weapons would not work. Meaning bullets cannot penetrate. Unfortunatly people might exploit this. This area would have to be HUGE to prevent Bandits from camping the area. So 1 KM by 1 KM So your Idea of a Free city is somewhat valid, But unrealistic. Im thinking of a small town that is not to far out of the way normal deathfest that player like to have. As for a Trading post it's too hard to trust anyone. A friend of mine mentioned a bus service for a couple of cans of food. However you would become a big target and theres no way to shoot out of a bus so security cannot happen. -

I know this might be old or how the "game mechanics" work but I think it should be changed. You have a magazine in your weapon but it shows up in your pack inventory taking up a slot? Actually two slots because it counts each weapon you have availible to be used. I'd have to say that needs to be coded out of the game. It's just too silly to even consider keeping and needs to be fixed. How can one object take up space in two different locations?

Crows fly in the general area of bandits

I would suggest vultures circling kills and following people that are bandits on occasion. It would be interesting seeing them perched on roof tops and other places where fresh carcasses have dropped. It might even add as a distractor to the zombies do to movement and noise. -

No its silly to assume foul play considering alot of people have posted here that when they find tents or vehicles the server tends to restart, players that were once dead appear out of no where, or players just happen to log in right near the stash area. -

I;m not so sure we need a new map, not that I;m against that I just think that the spawning of items needs to happen in random places. For example: all those wrecked humvees and trucks, road blocks, Random military bunkers, more open houses, dead NPC back backs, crashed aircraft, cargo para drops, wreaked armored vehicles, Trench lines and adjacent bunkers. fighting positions. See everyone knows where the loot is and that what kind of spoils the whole thing they need to make a random loot spawning locations. -
Agreed (and I forgot to post that like four times now ) considering it is quie dumb that you stop and take several seconds to pull a gun. You can eat a can of beans faster.
