Well If I have to explain Two zombies in a unusual postion that ignore my approach because they are busy doing something not so PG. Hence the Deliverance audio and sound track. On the technical side - Zombie NPCs stuck on each other - No reaction to approach - No loot in barn - Zombies stuck in barn

Make sure you have the item(s) in the ready inventory slot. Throwing takes practice, hit the Arma 2 armory and practice. Hit the "f" key to cycle *( or you can scroll ) to the selected item which the text is displayed in the right corner of the screen. Left click will throw the object your mouse up/down adjusts the arc of the throw. On regular severs with aim points you will see a circle that expands and contracts to judge distance. All objects "throw" a little different ** Make sure you path to target is clear or the thrown item will bounce or strike anything you are around making this a pain in the ass ** On hardcore there nothing to refference you throw from, have fun with that. *** Grenades have a large damage radious make sure you get some distance!!!

In all honesty you do not need a map in this game as long as you view range is set at max and you have clear skies. By using terrain features you can really get to where you want to be. If all else fails follow the main roads but run 100 or so feet away from the road to avoid getting shot.

Sounds like you do not have matches or its just a bug. Otherwise its like walrus stated. With wood you can place the fire and have the option to lite it but it will go out if you do not have matches. Matches are sometimes hard to find, check the markets and civilian areas. In some games it took me 10 minutes to find some in other games I could not find any in two days. Tested this out sometime ago / posted before that POS hacker deleted 2 weeks of threads.

Date: June 17th Time: Approximatley 9:00am Here are a few screen shots and the details: Searching the NE Airstrip I was shot and killed. Nothing surprising there but whats odd is beore I can even type a sentance players disconnected from the server. now you see me Now you don't, what cut and run? Thats right Ankake and Coronos bail out after the kill. ** I know it just could be coincidence but I think not. ** I think this was an example of spawn camping with disconnect in fear of retaliation, greifing or looting. Let me explain. A player or players camp a high volume player area, say the North East airfield. They pick an optimal sniping postion or hide on the objective or a little of both so one can be a spotter / sniper and the other a looter or secondary shooter. They roll through the servers and see what they can find. Once they engage and kill a player and loot them and they DC. Thus moving back to a safe server like those that are locked or very limited slots to drop the goods or horde items. This way they can farm servers all day long obtaining the loot they want without to much issue. It just as bad as players "shifting" by server jumping to gain postion on a target. While this might be nothing new. This resonably simple exploit destroys the emersion of this game. Then I get this screen shot ( which happened twice ) whats up with this text compaired to the text above You notice when I get my death text it does not say who killed me but in this screen shot it does involving two other players.

Good catch but man that place is like a fish bowl windows everywhere and no where to hide. The bathroom is your only saving grace. Eventually the baddie just walked up to the hallway window and looked in.

Actually you create alot of players with nothing to lose. So once they get the ability to take what they want they will because they have to. If you play smart you could round up a bunch of zombies and run through a building / area occupied by other players dragging the horde with you while those players are overwhelmed with zombies and possibly killed you go back and pick up what you need after the aggro drops off. You can use that in a few evil way im sure of it.

Well I'm not going to burn up time tryng to search the net for Arma 2 hacks. The thing is if the game was made properly to greatly limit or make impossible, hacks, we would not be discussing this. ** Actually you might not be able to prevent hacking due to game design, but create a way to track those that do it would even be a solution ** I do thank those that have taken steps to elminate the issues we have seen so far. -

A vehicle is a death trap in this game its sure death. Eveyone wants a vehicle but you cannot shoot out of the dam things. So even if you can run chances are your still dead or your vehicle will be destroyed. The vehicles need to be modded so each person has an arc of fire our each window of the vehicle or from each position in the vehicle. I do not know game mechanics but I think its a Must have in this game. Secondly Vehicles need to be upgraded with scrap metal to increase thier hit point valuse and protect the occupants. Yes Just like Mad Max and Up armored Humvees and or your SHTF vehicles. The mechanic can be as simple as collecting extra winshields and scrap metal to boost your vehicle armor. A visual representaion would be nice down the road. Players find a Welding tourch ( gas ) or Arc welder and generator which allows the modifications. This adds an extra layer of realism but also keeps you on the road for a bit longer. Light armored vehicles: At some point I'd like to see BRDM's, Up Armored Humvees, Humvees, BMPs

Well the title sez it all. I'm thinking along the lines of most the zombie movies I have seen. I don't remember zombies having superhuman like night vision. So to be fair I think they need to follow the same rules as the players are subject to with exception to the fact they are a rotting corpse in a contstantly decaying state. -

So I was thinking and I don't think anyone ever addressed this issue. In a game where things spawn often and it's all free why do you feel that you need to kill other players to take their stuff?? This is NOT a post about Carbearing or WTF ever you wanna call it. It's just that the current game mechanic is to respawn items after they are taken and even though its totally random your going to get more FREE stuff ! Litterly hundreds if not thousands of items spawning and being taken used and or moved to get more. So why kill over free stuff? Is it conveniance, I kill other players to loot them? ( I'm just to dam lazy to go find my own shit ) Is it because, I can shoot people, so I do? Or do you just think it is the game mechanic where you must shoot other people out of self defense or thats just how the game is played? I'm curious to find out what the player base thinks.

I agree with most of what you posted Anything much larger than a sub machine gun will not fit into a back pack. What would be a better idea is that military or large packs are able to strap an additional weapon to the outside. The idea of placing a large weapon inside of a pack just denies the user of more pack space it's not realistic for the simple fact it would not fit and mostly stick out of the pack making it a pain in the ass. Taking it apart ( to fit ) would make it useless for any combat situations.

Actually no, if you read my post you would know why. I'm starting to think reading comprehension is not part of public education anymore. So let me try to set this straight B.I has had 3 years and 14 days to prove "the best possible product" ( This does not include production time, this posted time is only after release date) However this "best possible product" still is easily hacked with major game breaking, server destroying hacks. From what I see on you tube the guy has a menu of options to do what he wants. While no doubt they are "improving" things the major server killing hack is not being addressed. That would and should be on top of the priority list. -

bbob so how long has Arma 2 been out? ** June of 2009 = Don't give a shit, sorry bbob, it just speaks volumes to me. ** From what Rocket posted these are not DayZ specific hacks but you need Arma 2 to run Day Z so they are one in the same thats my point. And we are still seeing major server killing hacks? You see the Old lady one yet thats sort of new. I would place a huge priority on securing Arma 2 to promote the Mod that brought back a old game from the dead and has generated a monsterous amount of sales and interest right before the release of Arma 3. That to me is just good business sense and keeps the fan base happy.
