    The amount of vehicles in them mods isn't normal.... thats not dayz... lmfao

    True, Its Takistan!

    The map is huge so the vast amount of planes/helicopters is acceptable in my opinion.

    Plus we got incredibly lucky to come across these vehicles in a semi repaired state or tip top condition but when i was playing yesterday and we lost all these vehicles due to the server changing to the Lingor map and i could only find 1 or 2 helicopters on airfields and they were totally wrecked on other servers.

    There are no supermarkets or hospitals in Takistan which makes it alot harder to get geared up and ready. Although you can still find blood bags and medical supplies in Military locations ( usually in military tents like you'd find in Stary Sobor on Chernarus ) and loot you'd usually find in general stores can be found in most of the houses around the map. Just stick with it and you'll get into the swing of things! :)

    Hey survivors!

    If anyone else has noticed a new map pop up out of the blue then you probably know about the new Takistan map for DayZ!

    Its not an official map, i know but its still a great map!

    Check me, phonix and a few others out as we sink our teeth into the new map and get ourselves into some trouble with a chinook helicopter!

    ( Before people start getting into one - This is the TAKISTAN map on a private hive server. Its nothing official and not approved by Rocket but still me and loads more people are playing it! These vehicles are not hacked/scripted in and can be found in many different spawn locations around the map! I even found a legit M4A1 Holo M203 in the barracks at the northern airfield! ;P )

    It's unbelievably overpowered right? Silencer, M203 and holo?! some crazy shit.

    Your right, im not helping anything but our server is reset often anyway and the medical boxes that held all these hacked weapons was destroyed by me, phonix, blue and a few others to prevent the spread of any more weapons. I took the M4 and pistol before being blown up in the process of getting rid of the boxes but survived for the restart. It just so happened we bumped into someone on the way back to Calamar that i felt the need to record it.

    Uhm... why?

    The SVD does not need zeroing over its effective range in ARMA2 because the PSO-1 Optics accurately provide an efficient and fast rangefinding mechanism that does not rely on relatively complex calculation á la Mil-Dot. Why would you need zeroing if you can just use one of the lower chevrons? Those are effectively "zeroed" to the distance you want to engage at. I see that you do know this, so I'm just curious. :-)

    As an aside, the "real" Dragunov obviously does have zeroing capability and unless you want to take quick shots, you would generally use this, falling back on the lower chevrons only if you want to engage at more than one kilometer where each additional chevron neatly corresponds to another 100 meters. The in-game PSO scope, just as the Dragunov itself, is fairly accurate as these things go, especially compared to some of the more heinous errors in either ARMA2 or DayZ (the Winchester... argh), but there are a few more features I'd love it to have in common with the real deal.

    When i said i never liked the scope, i meant across most games in general. Theres just some guns you like and some that ya dont.

    Hey guys,

    So Team DN have just got their own Lingor Island server and we are looking for another clan to oppose us.

    We will give you gear and vehicles to make it fair and if a seize fire is needed, it can be arranged.

    We also have a regular DayZ server which we would like to do the same on!
