I love everything about it. I do think it will be perfect when walls are ray casted; from there it will be apparent how many zeds are too many and if the detection radius is proper.

Friend had this as of his update to 93825. He reinstalled 93701 and it stopped. -
Server restart will fix it but another vehicle can also fix it. Don't slam into it with another vehicle, push it at first and then give it more force if it doesn't flip. You are chancing that the ATV explodes in doing so, so...

Who isn't going to eat the meat off a BBQ'ed finger after being bean-less for 5 days? :E +hunger indicator turns green (nourishment) -no blood given -slight humanity level drop -6% chance of sickness If ammo is lessened, I could see bandits being re-coined as cannibals which would seem more fitting in a zed apoc. -
I see what you are getting at and I do wish there were servers or a subsidiary version that was dedicated to the lack of communication aspect (besides local in-game voice). In reality' date=' your never going to be able to rid meta gaming because there are too many avenues to use. Though leveling characters I see as an infection. DayZ should stray far from or take extreme caution with if or when implementing a deep seeded MMO/RPG-like dynamic. Blood bags are a bit OP in my opinion anyhow.

1) Random animal packs that attack in the forest/large fields -M...errr... ehh. I dunno. I'd rather see animals AI and animations improved before being attacked by a bear. 2) Maps at train stations with a dot indicating where you are, and possibly enlargeable -Eh. Not sure. Kind of a non factor. 3) Hit boxes need to be better big time/zombies actions (i know it alpha) -I'm not sure if it's a little lag but the hit boxes are OK. They could be tightened up. 4) More enter-able houses -Yes. 5) Actual Trains on the tracks that you can go inside or derailed train cars -Static props, yeah. Working trains... no, prease no. 6) Running for a long time should make your vision blurry until you catch your breath, and you should slow down -yeah or something similar. 7) Make heavy breathing loud, so people close can hear the tired person -Yeah. 8) Zombie packs.. Random zombie groups that walk together... would be epic. -Yeah. 9) Maybe add bullet proof vests to military bases and/or places -Maybe. We might be going a little too far up the military tree imo. 10) Grouping, definitly needs a way to add people to a group or change the players color so its easier to see if they are friendly. -Eww. Not for it. Visual appearance on the other hand - like clothes, hats ect. 11) Melee attack... just allow us to wack things with our guns or something.. -Agree. Hatchet attacking at the least. 12) Remove All chat info besides Joining/leaving and chat -Agree 100% 13) Display city name once you enter it -No more cruches. We already have 3rd person and name tags. 14) Light things on fire with flares/cook meat Sure 15) FIX LADDERS. That's probably a core engine problem.

[Forts] I like all of it but I wonder how long it would take to implement, lol. To the privilege of endless base opportunities I would ask that they be destructible though obviously taking a load of m67's before a concrete wall collapses. [Recognition system] Not on board. That is giving clans and teams way too much power. My argument is that you should have to visually recognize someone. A tag is a 100% confirmation and are able to be seen in the pitch black, very close to cheating imo. I would push for clothing, boots, hats, pants, glasses, face paint, ect. - eventually you will recognize your buddies and if you friendly fire at night or in confusion, too bad. The game shouldn't allow players to feel or become (too) comfortable/complacent. [basic skill system] Afraid it would give clans and groups far too much of an advantage on beginners - extending it beyond the fact that right now even a group of 2 people can give each other blood transfusions which are insta12k's. I agree that players should feel the need to team play through game elements gently pointing to it but I think a skill system would allow teams to absolutely decimate loners even further than what can be achieved already. My belligerent debate is that I absolutely hate classic MMO's, RPG's and a magical powers. [Weapon regularity changes] 100% yes. [Migration][0/0] Great idea. 100% behind that.

Go into inv, right click on hatchet and click 'harvest wood' repeatedly (or we it is) while strafing. You'l get it in 10 seconds, just be in a forest.

I can't even fathom why people relate the game itself to COD. It just... no. 180* of difference between A2 and COD mechanically. And leave Counterstrike far, far, far, far, far away from the word COD. Though you don't have to be a water snake, you can turn with your back to the water and run. Some people do play the game like COD though, that's the difference. Cherno of Duty exists. That is all.

Location and equipment reset on disconnect

Confirmed for SE4. Showed up in debug forest a few times and continually reset to coast. -
Cherno = deathmatch. I lived for 8 days and only saw 2 people besides that of my clanmates. Seriously. 1. Enter game 2. Turn with back to water 3. Run for 30 minutes Doing all 3 steps decreases your chance of death by probably 75%.

Bad luck is all. I mean your not going to find blood bags or high end weapons there but there are other nuggets. If you want bad, hit some of the very northern towns. It seems most people up north locked their doors as the apoc started happening.

Mine was solidly not working with the launcher, so what I did was create a shortcut through the launcher, add a non-steam game in Steam and point to that shortcut and then open the game from Steam. The problem from there is that the splash screen would always load and DayZ wouldn't be loaded. So in add-ons (in Arma 2) I clicked on DayZ, put it up at the top and then restarted the game. I still have the splash screen but I can deal with it because the mod and steam overlay are working.

8 real days and probably something like 60-75hrs. If it wasn't for my clan mates I would have been dead 5 times.

As long as there are drop-in players there will always be goons. Look at Cherno, it's filled with goons with or without being script kiddies. The good thing about Cheranus is that it's large. I haven't seen another human being (besides my clan and hearing audible gun shots) in 5 days. -
And you can always rebind controls to your liking. You can also use 2x binds which is handy so you can keep all your controls close to your fingers.
