The airfield is a hot PvP zone, with all the military high-tier weapons spawning there. It's also a very open area, which means you are very, very, VERY easy to spot and just gun down. Because, remember, in the airfield, there's always a guy in a ghillie suit with a m24.

I just bought arma 2 and downloaded dayz myself two days ago. Now, hear me out: Do you expect to be a pro with 90 minutes of gameplay? I have four hours, and all the weapons i've ever found were a bunch of hatchets and a double barrel shotgun (One of the reasons i've died). Keep trying, last try i've had, i found lot of food and water, and i was just an hour into the game. I died because i got sick when i got hit by a zombie, and that pretty much fuc*** me up. Keep trying, and have patience, young one.

I actually think this is a pretty good sugestion. I mean, i'd be very happy if they just gave me a pocket knife, or a kitchen knife. It won't make everybody stab eachother, and people will have a way to fend off zombies.

Didn't you see the news and the broken website? The hive is down, which means that NOBODY can create a player, which means nobody can play. The fix is supposed to come out at 4 P.M G.M.T, hold tight.

The game was made to be a HARD simulator. How do you even get detected by zombies? They're dumb as sh**. You can crouch behind them and walk 50 miles around them and they still don't see you. Come on, Man, Even if the starting Makarov has been taken out, you can still survive. I respect that the game is a bit TOO hard as it is, since newbs like me don't really get along with the aiming, and the engine of the game. But it's no reason to just give up and make a massive fu**-fest in the forums. The only place where you should be pissed off is in game, where you can actually shoot people.

You Sir, will get spammed like crazy. Why won't we remove food and water as well? Good grief, PVP is what makes the game exciting, along with shooting zeds and looting.
