It's not just at balota it happens in lots of places. Happened for me near Berenzino too. It's totally unplayable for me now. I can run pretty much any game even recent games at high to max settings despite having an older PC ...but DayZ is awful now. 5-15 fps if I'm lucky, whereas before 1.62 I was getting 25-60, average of 45 FPS Really hope this gets sorted soon as I miss playing dayz. Same here, its unplayable right now for me....horrible especially happens when I look at the sun.

no server list when launching with DayZ mod parameters, but when I launch ArmaII vanilla my server list is fine. Wtf is going on? all my mates aren't having this issue....now I can't get on to play and it's friday night damnit! lol

I run FRAPS or BANDICAM every day with no issues. It worries me that it may lead to getting banned but so far it hasn't happened. Reading the more sensible posts in this thread it would seem I have no reason to worry either. Sounds to me like another hacker swinging a sob story in order to get unbanned? Typical

Hmm totally different guns. Depends really on your play style. I prefer to be stealthy so the Bizon is the way to go, plus ammo replenishes when you log back on, so....FN FAL is good, but too loud (attracts both players AND infected) and has crappy iron sights. So in the end I have to say Bizon as for me it turned out to be a very handy gun and can kill with one shot if you aim for the head.

Since when was ping/latency the issue in DayZ? I'd say the issue is more about the heavy loads on servers and the hive being overloaded, not the latency. EDIT: Ok I see you're saying the server's ping to the hive matters, not our ping to the server. My bad. Still I don't see how the latency matters so much. Please explain. Ping has little to no effect in DayZ as far as I've seen

1) ANZ 9 is GMT +2 2) ANZ 3 is +10 GMT, 3) ANZ 4 is 50 slots, not 40. 4) ANZ 4 is +2 GMT

There are plenty of ANZ servers. Just type "nz" when filtering in the server list. If you're using SixLauncher I can't help you as I don't use it. Also, Internode servers are totally screwed. Your character doesn't carry over and you have to start a new character. Games.on.net servers aka internode have been crap since day 1 and among the worst servers. Better are the ON3 network servers, glovine, orcon and a few others I can't think of right now. When i type NZ as filter (host) I get about 20 servers minimum in the list

I think you meant "saving someone's life by sacrificing your own" since in the way you phrased it, "one's life" would be referring to your own life, hence your phrase/topic heading translates as "saving your own life by sacrificing your own"

Ummm no you dont have to uninstall it lol. But this is not the place for asking about ARMA II, better off going to an actual ARMAII website/forum for that, if you're having issues

What game are you playing? Nobody fears death in DayZ? I think you're either delusional or not playing the same game. Every single person I know playing it or that I've spoken to, is afraid of dying in DayZ as it usually means starting all over again. People fear death more than in any other game I have ever played. You're clearly not in touch with the community on this one.

Too easy? Either you cheat or you don't play on servers with other people, or you play on servers where other people are your friends, or you play on servers that don't work correctly, or you play on servers where other people are so skilless that you don't get killed @op Getting gear in DayZ is not easy, unless you're a hacker/cheater. Stop whinging about having too much gear, it's ridiculous. It's easy to destroy gear (though why you would want to is beyond me) but maybe you haven't worked that out since you've been hacking this entire time

Yes,because you and other players like you avoid them, or you wouldn't say that. Easy when you have ammo, but that runs out. Easy when there's 4 in your group, not when you're on your own. If you tackle zombies in places where they spawn many many of them, you wouldnt say its easy. But then its easy to hide all the time Never been sniped? You're lucky, then, because you can't always be hidden, especially when you are OBLIGED to go and get gear when you start. There's way too many people sniping on the coast where people spawn, and that really needs to stop

I never disconnect when facing danger, but when I'm killed I disconnect and quit the game, not because I'm thinking "I dont want him to get my stuff" but because I'm in a rage and quit from being so pissed off!

Yeah sorry I was mad and posted my rant! I wouldnt mind being threatened then killed, but the killing without knowing who even killed you, well, it lacks substance. I know that there would be a lot of people killing others in a zombie apocalypse or any kind of apoc, but I think most of the time, you would be approached first....but those would be the nasty guys. Whereas the ones killing others in this are just kids so used to killing other players in games, or people who are just nasty and like to spoil it for others, because let's face it, most people wouldn't be killing others to the extent we see in this mod. It's my own fault i got killed anyway, I never get killed when Im being careful, but I was taking a risk when I got killed and was in the open. Guess I'll just stop doing that. I'm serious when I say I'm going to hunt these camper snipers though. I can be patient too and my last murder has made me determined to start fighting back! Anyone who wants to join in PM me. I play mostly on AUS/NZ servers though....

You can pitch tents? Tried putting one everywhere I could find a flat spot, would never pitch, waste of inventory space.
