Its not you or your rig nor your graphics card it's simply DayZ. It runs like absolute shit right now. I get 9 to 17fps. Compared with 25-45 prior to 1.7.2.4

Could we please get an update from Devs or Rocket himself in regards to the current state of affairs? Just a quick "its being fixed as we speak" or similar would put my mind at ease. Thanks in advance

Is that bad or good for you? Im not being cheeky Its a genuine question. I filter using NZ in top field (hostname i think) so I only see ANZ and NZ servers in australia.

Also, wireless is really not suitable for online games. especially DayZ which has a rather huge amount of data being transferred. Get a fixed ADSL line if you can and get rid of that wireless shit

Thankyou for confirming this! I get about 9fps now, and a max of 17fps. My PC was a beast when I built it a few years back and it still plays every single game great, even on high-max settings. Glad to see (though Im not glad for us lol) that it's not just me. Cheers Keep posting here guys so we can get some attention. Because right now more people are focusing on the glitches but that will get fixed. This needs fixing more IMO

See for me that's playable, anything over 25 fps is very smooth usually. You're lucky I wish I could get above 17fps lol

Wait, have you tested real chemlights and tried to see how far they truly can be seen when no other light sources are around? Have a bit of fun and google research the subject. I can't remember the exact numbers but even a cigarette burning can be seen from more than 50 metres away, a candle can be seen from a km at least.....so I don't know how far a chemlight can be seen but 100m doesnt seem unrealistic to me Ok hold on a sec I just re-read that. You're saying you can see the stick with no light from further away than the actual light? How can you if there's no light to see the stick? Maybe with your HDR cranked up as well as gamma but I don't see how you can do what you are saying???

Please devs. Fix this!! Not only the graphics glitches but whatever you changed is asking way too much of the engine and half of the people trying to play CANT play because it's not very nice playing with like NINE FRAMES PER SECOND. Ya know? FFS it's ridiculous!!!

I know you're trying to help, but honestly NONE of that helps. Also reducing your 3d resolution results in worse performance as it puts more load on the CPU instead of GPU. AA also makes NO difference whatsoever. I lowered all my settings except shadows and result=worse FPS than before. Counter-intuitive i know but that's how shitty this engine really is. Poor performance is simply due to crappy unoptimised engine coupled with DayZ asking too much of said engine.

Actually it's not called lag, it's simply called poor performance. I have the same issue and FPS is so atrocious right now (max of 17fps,most of the time 9 Nine fucking fps) It's unplayable

Ok, because I'm a nice guy I will give you a little tip to help have a little more visibility at night. Turn your HDR precision to high or very high, turn gamma up. You will now see much more than before

Wrong. Some servers are brighter than others and has nothing to do with the moon. So there IS a setting they can change. Don't reply to things claiming to know when clearly you don't! FFS
