Nope, it IS pointless. DayZ is not a PvE game, period. People are asking for it because they can't handle losing their stuff. They are free to play co-operatively with other players if they wish, but you cannot and will not prevent other players from shooting each other. Again you are one of those people who simply doesn't get the game. If you did you wouldn't want PvE only. I suggest going and playing some L4D2 or something :) I play with other players btw, and yes I enjoy playing co-operatively with them. But to remove the only threat in the game by having ONLY players who work together? Defeats everything this game is about. SO I do not fail to see the enjoyment, I simply understand what this game is about and enjoy both sides. You want just one side which is just pointless. In the end you are the ones who fail to see why PvE only is not allowed and not wanted.

Nope. You clearly misunderstand the whole concept of DayZ. You want a different game, not DayZ. If you want a co-op only game go and play a game which delivers that. It is not DayZ. Anyone who is arguing for PvE only servers just fails to grasp the entire concept of DayZ. PvE servers are not allowed, and hopefully never will be.

Simply because it is not how DayZ was designed. Other players are the biggest threat in this game, take that away and it becomes pointless.

Combat logging happens when you are being shot at, you weren't in combat so couldn't have combat logged anyway lol. -
Only way to really fix these issues is with private hives.

They should simply implement what Breaking Point in Arma III has done. An 8 minute timer when switching servers. And a 30sec log off timer to prevent combat logging. Simple. -

No rubber banding like before. However, I was 1km out of Elektro yesterday, and I was suddenly teleported back to elektro at the fountain where I'd just filled up a bottle, but I couldn't move or even bring up the menu to exit. -

Great new. Only thing is, the last update was supposed to fix rubber banding too, but instead made it worse. What about the random insta-death bug? Is that not just as critical too? Or is that in fact a side effect of the rubber banding? Anyway, I really hope this DOES indeed fix it. -
The most useful thing they could do with the ocean right now is make it shut the fuck up! lol. Or at least make it quieter. It's way too loud!

I think this group is awesome! Very funny stuff actually. Would love to be a part of it despite not really being bandit minded or anything. The RP shown here is quite hilarious and interesting IMO! -
I'm always defending this game but I am also a realist. I can see where a lot of the work has been done. What I don't understand is why such simple things have not been addressed. Things I could even do myself. Like a "you are dead" background. New Zombie sounds. Better Gun sounds. Lowering the volume of the ocean sound. etc etc. It seems they have been lazy in many areas of the game. Then other areas are amazing like the weapons being totally new and in parts, the inventory, the health system etc. I really am a little perplexed at these contrasts in attention to details.

Actually they CAN and should be compared to one another. They are both DayZ. Both the same creator. One comes from the other.

New random buildings? Umm sorry but the buildings are not random. That would suggest it changes every time a server restarts which is not the case. The map has been revamped but in no way is it random in any sense of the meaning.

It's always been like this in the mod too, though you could also talk back. That seems to not be possible. It's the same in Arma III you can hear and respond while dead.

Sorry but clearly you don't know what you are talking about. This is NOT an entirely new engine and is of course largely Arma II and ToH engine with some elements of Arma 3.
