So its not a class game right? Thats why in my survivor group we have the best shots carry the snipers. Thats why have have the the people who understand the zombie mechanics the most loot the cities while the snipers provide overwatch. Sounds like a class system to me. Now imagine if there were slight perks added to that mechanic. How you could become proficiant with your character. Having a proficiant group of survivors... Sounds good to me. How about next time you post you dispute why this would be a bad idea instead of being a jackass.

I def support Cypherdiaz post. I was not sure what would be a balanced classing sytem would be but I do completely believe there needs to be diversity among survivors. I Just dont want it to turn into a WoW or other mmorpg where your limitied to that class. I think starting with different gear and having SLIGHT tweeks to certain actions or performance would be very beneficial

We do already perform well but there has been some times where friendly fire has been a problem, In a real life situations you can tell whos your buddy by looking at his face. I dont think there should be a name over the player but just a crosshair indicator.

Well it is pretty easy to identify me because I am the only black character out the nine total ha. No question ever whether its me they see or not.

If you Alt + Tab out of the game it may do that. easy fix, open options menu, if you can see the options auto-highlighting in rapid succession in order just press Tab once and your good to go.

1. Had nothing to do with speed when all you have to do is Alt + F4. It wasnt even go through my mind to disconnect. I was actually hoping to get over the hill so I could possibly flank them but I pretty much knew it was a lost cause. 2. My team was being sarcastic. Anytime we die we know exactly where to go to get back just as adequate equipment within a small time frame so dying isnt an issue for us and we dont disco when we are in trouble. 3. Zack is a dumbass so you cant take what he says to heart. (Sorry Zack (not really))

Ignorance is a bliss. I want it now. There were zero 1.7.1 US servers left this night and it's going to take few more hours before german servers have sunlight on them. Personally I consider 1.7.1.5 unplayable. Well I am new to Day Z and I find it very playable. I understand it was "easier" in the previous versions but an apocalypse simulation most likely wont be designed to be easy...

I too am one who does not want to murder. I try to avoid anybody so I don't have to make that decision... That being said, I was also in a similar predicament. I was raiding the airfield just north of the spawn point. VERY VERY low on fluids, food AND ammo. Managed to loot a Kobra from one of the hangers. As I was leaving the airfield after one more sweep of a hanger, a survivor came rushing into the very same hanger. I immediately dialed in on him as my pulse began to pound. This was the first time I ever had the upper hand on someone. The survivor just stopped and stared at me with hatchet in hand. Taking a quick glance at my provision indicators made me really question how to handle the situation. Keep in mind I DON'T LIKE TO KILL He put away his hatchet and pulled out his side arm. This made my decision a tad bit easier. I pulled the trigger and emptied a 30 round clip into him. After dispatching a few zeds and began to loot his body. He had everything I needed at that very moment to replenish my bars. He also was carrying everything needed to hunt, navigate, medicate etc. I felt bad knowing this kind of gear takes awhile to obtain but its survival of the fittest in this game I suppose. That's how I rationalized my actions. Still have the gear after 5 hours of play so at least it wasn't all for not.

Theres your answer. 99% Sure i've found the fix' date=' and it was indeed running it through the Six Launcher. As i said before, running it through any of the other launchers works fine, except for the fact i'm either in some god mode or can't connect to anything. Now, what i did to get rid of the stuttering: - Navigate to Your Arma II OA Installation Directory and run "Launch Arma2 OA Beta Patch" (Should be a shortcut) [Example Directory - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead'] - Select Expansions and Enable @DayZ (I'm not sure why but i had a DayZ (Without the @) Expansion aswell, selecting @DayZ worked - leaving DayZ disabled) - Restart the game (It will prompt you to restart here, so don't worry) - Have Fun with your Stutter Free Game! Note: - Next time you start the game through "Launch Arma2 OA Beta Patch" it should already have @DayZ enabled - When i launched the game through the Six Launcher i got a weird ocean as the background for the main menu, launching the game through this method gave me the normal rural Middle-Eastern type background - I'm not sure if i got really unlucky, or this might be a problem but, when i first tried to join a server using this method my game hung at loading...(I had already gotten onto the server and could see the lobby screen) and on my second try i got a "Kicked from Server" Message. On the third try however, i managed to get in fine. - I ran around for a good minute and a half without any stutters - normally i get a stutter every 5-20 seconds. I doubt i just got lucky. Anyway, hope this helps anyone else getting this issue and Good Luck! =D Going to play for a good few hours tomorrow and see if i still don't get any stutters, will post back if i do or not. System Specs (Incase anyone can relate): - 1TB 5600RPM HDD - Nvidia Gefroce GTX260 (Factory Overclocked) - Intel Core 2 Duo E7600 @3.06GHz - Windows Vista 64-bit SP2 - 4GB DDR2 800MHz RAM I could make SWEET SWEET love to you right now and also to that feller with the Nvidia fps tweak. I went out and BOUGHT a computer JUST for Dayz. Downloaded CO on Steam. I then bought a Radeon HD 5450 thinking hey its a 2009 game, this should do a decent job handling it... Wrong! So so so depressed that all I could do was salivate over youtube videos while this game taunted me on my desktop. Decided to upgrade the GPU (obviously) and went and got a Geforce GT 630. Not too much better I know but it was handling games like Battlefield so I gave it a try. STILL LOW FPS ON LOW SETTINGS!!! I had just about given up until I saw these posts. I logged a full 3 hours last night on high settings 1600x900 display (my tv) and LOVED EVeRY SECOND OF IT!!!
