To be clear - several issues came up that prevented me from releasing 3.0. When those issues went away, it just didn't make sense to release it. I just can't justify the work versus how many people would actually play it. I still have project oversight on the Survivor GameZ, but a lot of the work is now done by Soma, Lou, Shannon, and Andy. I've moved on to the Producer role for DayZ Standalone over at Bohemia Interactive. -

Personally, for my own tastes - I love full day/night cycle servers. I play DayZ first person only most of the time, and I go in for the full immersion experience. Each person has their own style though. -

For what its worth, I agree with you. Not so much in the direction of against PvP, I believe it to be integral to the core experience of DayZ. However, making that decision to open fire on another player should definitely hold higher consequences. Inception: I personally find discussion like this, as long as its healthy and not overtly negative to be generally productive. -

Hello everyone, My name is Hicks, and I wanted to take a few moments to introduce everyone to the project I've been assisting with over the last week or so. Some of you may, or may not be aware that prior to DayZ.St getting ahold of server files for DayZLand.de's version of Taviana Island for DayZ, we provided the largest number of public Taviana for DayZ servers, and for weeks now we have been very dedicated in ensuring everyone had access to the outstanding map that Taviana is. After several stalled negotiations to release the server files to the masses, my colleagues and I decided to take it upon ourselves to start from scratch with Martin's 1.0 Taviana, and DayZ Mod 1.7.4.4. It is because of this, and recent events that I wanted to offer transparency to all of the DayZ community so no one was left with questions when we release our client, and server files to everyone. Our intent, and our mission statement is as follows: 100% Public release of server files, the day we release our client files. Everyone, regardless of their chosen server setup should be able to run their own Taviana server. We are working with ayan4m1 to ensure that we are bundled inside Bliss as well, for maximum ease of use. Ease of use and accessibility for client files.- We are working with Josh, the developer of DayZ Commander, as well as a reliable and high speed provider for hosting the files themselves. Aggressive and open development cycle - We've assembled a strong team of competent mod developers, project managers, and designers to continue to polish and refine the DayZ experience inside Martin's map, and we've reached out to Martin himself for feedback, blessing, and to work hand in hand in any potential fixes and modifications for future Taviana map releases. Community driven refinement - Within the next day or so we will be rolling out a public facing project management portal on DayZTaviana.com that will be a singular place for reporting, tracking, and resolving issues and design change requests for DayZ Taviana. This project is an ever evolving, rapidly changing product and we believe that the truth in that resides in putting the power in the hands of the community to identify what works, and what does not. Staying core to DayZMod – We do not have designs on changing the core functionality of DayZ. We intend to conform as much as possible to the existing DayZ Mod and DayZ Private (Bliss) core functionality. Allowing for a maximum ease of use for server operators. In short, all of us here with DayZTaviana.com and the DayZ Taviana Community dev team love the DayZ Mod community, and the fantastic work Martin has put into Taviana. We feel that anyone, and everyone should be empowered to experience this map with DayZ, without applications, drama, or restrictions. I hope to see all of you putting your two cents into bugs and design change requests when we go live.

The DayZ Taviana.com team is proud to announce the 2.0 release on DayZ Commander! Bliss is currently working on rolling this into an update on our side, in the mean time server administrators can find our Bliss repo here: https://github.com/i...ks/DayZ-Private The client files as mentioned previously, are available now on DayZ Commander. Please make sure to update your DayZ Commander to the latest version! (Both servers and clients) We're excited to bring Dean "Rocket" Hall's Maule M7 to DayZ, and Taviana. If you encounter any issues with any of the fixes, or new features please head over to development.taviana.com and report them. As always, development.dayztaviana.com provides easy access to filing issues, tracking bugs, viewing upcoming change logs, and download test builds from our SVN. Changelist: The following are the changes in the 2.0 release of Taviana: All of the reported issues (that did not relate to the base Taviana map, which is out of our control) have been acted on. The Maule M7 (by Rocket, with improvements by Icebreakr) has been included and tweaked to work on recent versions of BattlEye and the Bliss BattEye filters. The V-22 Osprey has been enabled. The UAZ with the DSHKM machine gun has been enabled, along with a low magazine and very low magazine count version. The very low magazine count will be added as a rare spawn to the Bliss spawn table. Thanks to Graz on OpenDayz for inspiring us to add low magazine versions for game balance. The GAZ Vodnik and GAZ Vodnik MedEvac amphibious have been enabled, and low magazine and very low magazine versions of the GAZ Vodnik have been enabled. The GAZ Vodnik MedEvac will be added to the default spawn list. The Kamaz, Kamaz Open, and Kamaz Refuel have been enabled. The Repair Ural and Kamaz Repair have been enabled but have not been added to the default spawn list. Server administrators can add these vehicles if they wish to. The HMMWV Ambulance has been enabled, with healing disabled. A version of the C130J without radar has been added, and will replace the current C130J in the default spawn list. The C130J with radar will still be available for server administrators to add. Support for server administrators to modify or completely disable the dynamic weather system has been added. The area that is searched for trees has been increased to allow harvesting wood in sparse forest areas, such as those directly adjacent to the cities. Previously harvesting was possible in the larger forests only. The issue where players would be in the swimming position when spawning in is fixed. The default world position has been overridden and moved to land so that if DayZ fails to find a safe position players will not spawn in the water. A small number of the 68 custom building loot position tables have been tweaked, mainly to add upper floor loot positions. The Sabina Art Museum, Sabina Library, red hospitals, multi-story malls, and schools now have more loot. The loot probability in the custom Taviana diners and restaurants has been substantially increased. A specific main menu icon has been added. BattlEye script filters will be supplied to the Bliss team for addition to the update_filters.pl script, to avoid any script kicks.

Looks like you have our version (DayZTaviana.com) installed, and you are trying to connect to a DayZLand.eu server (1.1.0) Additionally, DayZTaviana,com 2.0 came out last night, so don't forget to update that sucker! -
I think snacktime meant, on the DayZTaviana.com version you can refuel at a gas station using the refuel command while in a vehicle.
