    Is this supposed to happen?

    It simply disappeared as I was standing still and making this thread while alt-tabbed, so I can't really tell you how to get rid of it haha. It looks kind of cool to be honest, I wouldn't mind having it since I'm not friendly with people anyway so I don't really care if they know I'm a bandit. I'll try and find a ghillie and tell you Xeno.

    So I was just being my usual asshole self and having some banditry fun with my AS50 when a hacker teleported the server into the sky and we all dropped to our deaths. No big deal, it has happened so often that I simply shrug it off, respawn and carry on killing (as there is no longer any point in gearing up and surviving when any kid with an internet connection can learn how to take it all away in a second). Anyway, I changed server to avoid being hacked any further by the same guy and when I spawned in along the coast, my character has some kind of rag around his head - reminiscent of the old bandit skin. Does anyone know if this is a glitch or does this now happen if you have low humanity? And as I was alt-tabbed creating this thread, it suddenly switched back to my trusty old baseball cap! (Doing the thing where it forces you into first person like when you put on camo/ghillie) Weird stuff. Might as well post this anyway just for show.
  3. Let me tell you exactly where you're dead wrong. REALISM. This game isn't fucking realistic, nor is it aiming to be. Rocket simply wants it to be brutal and unforgiving. To my knowledge, I've never heard him say anything about realism. I mean, do you think that when you break your leg you just take some morphine (which IS painkillers, not sure why these are two separate items really) and it just heals instantly? Of course not. This game may be more realistic than most, but the borderline is, it isn't. So trying to say that "3rd party comm programs are an exploit" is simply idiotic. Fair enough to say it ruins immersion, which is does, but that doesn't make it an exploit. If you don't like using them because it ruins your precious realism and immersion, then don't fucking use them, but you can't and you shouldn't try and stop everyone else using them.

    M16 Iron Sights or M4 CCO?

    It all depends on the other attachments. They are both identical damage wise (contrary to what OP just said) and zombie-aggro-radius is the same for both. It's basically just personal preference. I had no trouble taking out two people at 300-350 metres range yesterday with my M4A3 CCO with just 4-5 shots each. The M16 would be the same except just a bit more accurate for another 50-100 metres. So it really just comes down to which sights you prefer and what other attachments they have, because they're practically the same gun in all other regards.

    Defibrillator's

    If you break a leg, will morphine help you? No, just for the pain. So that's not realistic. Neither is being hit by a few bullets and then just having someone stick a band-aid over it and pour some blood into you. While more realistic than most, this game is still far from realistic, so your argument is invalid. Defibrillators would be a cool addition, I've always thought of something like them being brought into the game. As OP says, they should have a VERY small chance of spawning in hospitals only and they can bring back recently dead players (5-10 minutes). They should probably be a one time use item as well, just to avoid clans server hopping hospitals and building up a stockpile of defibs making them almost invincible.

    How well geared are you?

    This is probably my best character so far, though still never had any of the super awesome weapons yet. AKM with 16 mags (on hand and backpack combined) PDW with 2 PDW mags, 3 G17 mags and 1 M9 mag. Decent supply of blood bags, morphine, painkillers. Not much food and water, but that's easily found. Alice pack. Ghillie suit. Almost all tools. Binoculars and rangefinder. Currently in possession of a working UAZ. All I need now to perfect the character, in my opinion, is either a silenced M4/MP5 or a sniper rifle of some kind.
