I'm a little sad by the change. I usually solo play and having it has made me at least feel safe. I mostly use it to scout fields and treelines as that is what makes it OP. The gun itself is not all that strong however. After about 150m the gun loses a lot of power. No ironsites makes it somewhat tricky to use especially if the server has no crosshairs. I will just adjust and play with something else. Btw I've only managed to kill 2 other players since I have played the game and had the L85. 1 was wide open in a field completely stopped and the other was within feet of me so the use of thermo had no impact during both of those kills.

Likewise. Getting stuck on loading screens as well.

LOL, I was running through the NWAF to the control tower behind the main entrance and saw a guy coming down the stairs out the doorway. I was probably 20 feet away and had my ironsites out. Because of how high I had that rifle pointed I could not really tell how the guy was running, lowered my rifles to find the guy turn and finally see me. In the 8 seconds this transpired I failed to react and even pull my trigger out of my own confusion, the shock of coming upon another player unaware left me dumbfounded....he unloaded into me before I can even pull the trigger. I also had a few players in my scope crosshairs to miss. I will just stick to surviving and leave the pvp to the pros :)

Sometimes the popular and successful games come out of a simple mod. CounterStrike is one of the most played online FPSers of all time. I think this game will even appeal to those that are not into a FFA no penalty system. I am not at all into them. I think they are unforgiving to hard working people and rewarding more to pvpers out to take gear, however THAT is the exciting part! When I hear a rustle in the woods or a distant gunshot it reminds me why I play.

So it would appear this is a "problem" atm regardless if you are using tents or vehicles. It kind of makes me glad to see others with the same issue, but discouraging at the same time. Perhaps a fix will be on the horizon in future updates :)

Me and my friend play on NC2 and our tents just keep getting deleted. Anybody having this same issue? We logged off at around 2am this morning with a tent and some items and when I logged back on just now the tents just gone. This is probably the 4th time this has happened in a few days and it's making me wonder if tents are just a waste of time for the moment, or if this is a server admin thing. I am still new to the game and not sure what is what with some features atm. Any positive import would be great :)

IMO tents are not just about going back and regearing after death. After all any new player can blitz cherno, get an ak, map, compass, etc in a matter of 30 mins or less and leave unharmed quicker then running back to a supply tent. (my friend dies a lot)

Well this sort of shed some light on the tent issue me and my 1 friend are having. But for the past few days our tents disappear to reappear with none of our supplies in them. Is there any positive input you could give me to let me know what is going on in these certain situations? No since in trying to save gear to repair a vehicle or heli if we are going to constantly lose our work everyday :)

Me and my friends tents are all gone too. This has been happening a lot to us lately. I have also made a thread about this too. Not sure what can be done about it.

I agree with the logout timer even if you end the game progress with altF4 or a ctrl+alt+delete. IMO if you are so worried about losing your copter gear, more then likely this game is probably not for you. Most of the thrill of the game is that fact you can be killed and lose everything to start over. My heart goes crazy when I hear a gunshot near me or I see another player REGARDLESS of how close of far he/she is! The game forces you to pay attention and keep your head on a swivel! If you can just alt+f4 and jump out of a bad situation, then what thrill is that?

Ya it's weird. I have messaged the admin on gametracker and he says it restarts multiple times a day. But to reappear with nothing inside...it gets old. I am just wondering if this is happening to others and how often. Between me and my friend we have put up half a dozen new tents and saved them all with minor med supplies and each time this happens with all our supplies done. I appreciate the feedback. I will try and get with the admin and see if there is anything he can do on his end to resolve this issue.

Me and my buddy tents keep disappearing as well, another server. The tents vanish and then later reappear with nothing in it. We have had our medical supplies wiped at least 4 times in the past 4 days. Also I noticed last night tents are duping. I can place a tent down, save, pack up and place in another location, log off, come back and have 2 tent in which I can then pack up! I stumbled on this by mistake and it makes me super scared to store items as the save feature seems VERY broken at the moment.

I enjoy hoarding. I don't do it with cars, but just a single tent and usually I am just by myself or with my 1 friend in the game. But since the servers keep deleting all my tent gear (which keep in mind I don't go running to when I die, as I make a habit of not dieing) I find hoarding can be somewhat a waste of time:( Still it's fun to come across gear that I may want to use at a later date and cannot help but store it. I find keeping a different array of weapons for certain situations can be a smart thing to do. IMO. P.s. I do not mind if people find my tent by mistake and take what they need, as I will always put something in, but I expect people to at least restrain themselves somewhat and not freak out and take everything. Every time I have come across another tent I have usually taken a few things, but also put something in, in return. That is just my personality though :)

I have been hording a tent for almost a week now. Mainly a few sniper rifles, assault rifles and food and blood bags. I just kept gear for different situations instead of running directly to it in the event of a death. I am not very much into the bandit ways, but instead I like to run around and scavenge and horde stuff for whatever play style I feel like. I keep a silenced smg for my helicopter scavenging. Like somebody said on this server that there are 2 type of people that play Dayz. 1 that scavenges around and those who kill them. If a player cannot horde gear there is no reason to even scavenge as all you need to do is blitz cherno, get an AK and just run to Stary or the NW airfield for some PvP. All that said I am starting to think that our tents were not leveled by chance but perhaps something happened. My tent was untouched in what I assumed a pretty safe spot and to come and see other have had their tents leveled today seems odd.
