I prefer 1st person servers, but to me they seem a little limited in comparison to 3rd person servers. Even most the "vet servers" have both 3rd person AND crosshairs on.

yep combat logging sucks and we can only hope battle caught it for a nice 7 day ban. (I have seen it since they revamped things)

I ran into a guy in Chernos grocery store and we both had AKs and could have just blazed each other dead. Instead I say over voice chat "woah woah woah, I'm not going to shot. I am running out this front door do not shoot at me". Both of us lived and not a shot was fired. Now it was obvious that both of us were just in search for loot mode and not set to kill mode yet. But some preemptive mic chatter can sometimes turn a reactive prefire into a different situation.

Well fucking A. Played for another 2 hours and got a 80 second timeout from server 39. Log back in to find my fucking guns gone again! At least my alice pack was kind enough to be sitting on the ground next to me, which doesn't mean much since all that was in there was fucking food. Blah blah blah alpha blah blah. I still cannot help but be pissed. Lost an M4a1 Holo which was the first time I actually got this gun and was fucking loving it until... Location this time was Yvbor Server 39

I was just playing on US 39 for a few hours. I went to log out to help my wife bring in groceries and when I logged back in my character was in a different spot (close to where I logged but not the same spot). All my guns and backpack were gone. All my ammo and inventory items were there however. I logged off and logged into another server thinking that server was just bugged and found myself randomly in the woods north with all my guns and backpack still missing. Originally I was near a helicopter crash site outside of the NW airfield. This is mildly frustrating needless to say.

I have been killed by hackers 3 times since last night, and have come across 2 more that gave me a full loadout of guns and gear (which I disconnected and moved elsewhere as I did not want it) and the other was invis playing a creepy little girl voice. The 2 non lethal hackers were at least decent enough not to just kill me, but the others did not even play around, instead just teleporting me and instant killing me. The othesr just did a mass server kill. Hope you guys are getting your rocks off. It's all LOL until karma does something to you in real life....like maybe you don't wake up one night....get it?

Sounds like a legit thing the forum mod did. Hell some forums mods in other games will delete and also give you warnings/bans for even thinking about another game. It's just how forums go bro :(

Ya so as the title states I got killed at my own site. I usually do not bother with tents and storing vehicles anymore, but I was tempted and did so. Was good for a few days. When I logged in I was in between two of the tractors I ended up finding and hording...like a greedy horder I guess. Hoped into one of them to move so I can get out and was instantly gunned down from my blind side. It's all whatever. I ended up meeting up with my buddy and got into a nice firefight in Elecktro and had some fun...more fun then running around looking for more loot to horde. I am 100% done with hording and instead will enjoy the game the way I think it's fun for me. Co-op with friends.

The guy had a story, he died, got over it and restarted with no issues instead of rage quitting but you insult him. Not cool.

I read the OP post and skipped everything to just say, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? When has he not addressed the issue of hacking. Most of the problems in the mod he has stated that once the game goes standalone he will be able to iron out a lot of these issues, hacking one of them. If you are wanting an official post here and only here then that is just lazy. He probably has done close to a dozen web interviews and answer most of everybody's complaints and questions.

Been playing for a few months and never have I been killed by a door. I have been killed by a tree in prone before, but as far as weird glitch deaths, does not happen to me.

I personally do not disagree with what he did. Would i have done it? Probably not.

IMO, don't start nothing if you don't want nothing. They could have easily kill you guys and been big tough clan bosses after wrecking all your stuff, but instead they fucked up after being complete douches and 1 of their buddies got what he deserved. Great story. Have fun with his gear :)

All very good ideas to work on, however, Rocket has stated in many many interviews that most of that stuff will not be addressed in the mod, as it will be "much easier to fix in a standalone". As for the Bandie/Hero skins I LOVE THE IDEA! Building up a meta-score over time for surviving without killing other players sounds great. Gaining more points for killing banits to further increase your score sounds great too. I would like to see someway to distinguish a long-time survivor with some kind of perk. Not asking for anything MMORPGish, something small and rewarding, other then the self satifaction of surviving. Just something to throw out there. It wouldn't exactly give players a direction, but it gives them an option to work for something other then run and gun deathmatching everything in site.

Buddy of mine found a tracktor with 2 of these in it. It's a pretty little piece.

lol great story. I usually can walk in and out of Cherno expecting something to go down and it never does on my server I play on. Elecktro is another story, and Stary....I stay the fuck away from it. NWAF seems dead too, but I rarely go there either. You know what I think. A lot of these areas are getting bare because of all the tents saving gear with unlimited amounts of guns. Why go into a city and risk anything when you can run out to a favorite saved location in the woods and restock? Because Elecktro is one giant sniping nest that's mostly the hottest next to Stary and it's huge ass hill overlook for miles. Just my opinion.
