Week 3 Ivan and Martin arrested. Show them you care
VVired replied to Mysticales's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the game developers not citizens of Greece? If so, couldn't someone contact an embassy of which ever state they are citizens of? -
The New United Republic - Governmently Body
VVired replied to Toxic_Cyber's topic in Clan / Group Recruitment
soooo you're trying to set up an authoritarian regime that rules basically as an oligarchy? Thats not how the government of the United States works. Why don't you just go with the Westminister model of government with bicameral legislature, one representing citizens and one representing the members of the military (which is how the United States basically works off). If not, then at least call the council the Congress or something and have annual elections for both the members of Congress and the President. EDIT: The US is bicameral but I did not mean that one branch represents members of the military. -
Thanks for the double post

If you really have a problem with admin abuse from the admin of whichever server, you should post a report in the respective sub-forum instead of here.

Creepiest moment in my life on a game... (Is this the hidden patch that was for the lulz?)
VVired replied to Noquisi's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Hey Nort, just for future reference, you can get dead bodies out the vehicle by switching to whichever seat the body is in. I.E, to get dead body out of driver's seat, a player needs to go into the driver's seat. -
Probably a bitter solution of contempt and intolerance for those that assume and judge without credible evidence? EDIT: I don't mind if OP calls hackers dickheads/douchebags/assholes/contemptible member of a video game/whatever else BECAUSE of hacking, but to make assumptions and generalize a potentially diverse demographic (or even just an individual for that matter) on the foundation of an EXTREMELY trivial action stikes me as a precursor to OP turning to/creating stereotypes and stigma that parallels more serious subjects such as racism.

I think I read a post awhile ago that here are scripts which makes your name not appear on the list -
How much himanity for hero skin? Also, is it true that hero skin makes you move faster?
VVired replied to grimsonfart's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
You can't continually shoot and heal to get a hero skin as you lose humanity after shooting another player. -
take it if you feel like it, you won't get banned.

Just because there are already unrealistic elements in the game (like endless never spoiling gasoline in tanks) does not mean other unrealistic elements are justified.

Imagine if you could access the dayz forums while in-game by finding a computer....

Again, regular arma and a zombie module off of Armaholic would circumvent using DayZ completely. It'll be much easier, production and entertainment wise. It'll be easier to set up without problems of servers/bugs etc. Entertainment wise as you can make it that players start with weapons rather than watch them for twenty minutes looking for one (plus one may contain the player population in a smaller area). EDIT: Not to mention setting up spectators, setting up specific mission types as you said, etc.

Stand Alone Again Cause loser admin locking
VVired replied to arma2eraseditself's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
wait a minute, (not to trying to be offensive) but what use is two accounts? -
Exactly how many people who here who complains of grenades play ArmA?
-
I'd pee sitting down but I'm just too lazy to put down the seat. Said to match how pointless this thread has become. Someone please lock this because it has devolved into a series of insults and the flame war version of the cuban missile crisis.

Rocket doesn't hate making the game. He hates our fucking attitude (as exemplified by OP).

thats changeable under server settings. Some servers turn that on, some don't.

How many people play DayZ with TrackIR?
VVired replied to miket's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
seems a bit too much... I'll stick with my ALT key -
We need to create a clan dedicated to finding all the duped satchel charges we can and use them to blow up that entire God-forsaken complex to hell as often as possible. P.S why is this thread not stickied?

Zombies should be removed from DayZ
VVired replied to Professional N00b's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
There's already a mod called Wasteland that came before DayZ. Less bugs and and no zombies. Hope you find that more fun than DayZ and that you stay there and don't come back. -
Just trying to contribute Journal Entry #1 05/24/2020 They told me they would cut my prison sentence in half, get out on a 5 year bid instead. They told me all I had to do was to live in this place called "Chernarus" for a year, part of a reality show or something. They were vague about what the show was about, only that there were others along the coast, where they dropped me off. I told them before they left that I didn't see any cameras, and in return they simply told me to not worry about it and that I am always "monitored". They told me I was near the city Cherno-something, I can't recall the full name. I'll just stick with calling it Cherno. Guess I'll try to get a hotel room there and try to make sense of this thing then on, even though they left me only a bandage, a flashlight, and a box of painkillers along with a small backpack (for some reason). Journal Entry #2 05/24/2020 (Night) There is definitely something not right with this place. Wrecked cars and trash all over the place are the first things I noticed, but then, I noticed the people in this place. They walked all over the place with no destination in mind, some were crawling and others were moving in manner indescribable in words. I walked over to one who seemed to be walking my way, but as we neared each other, I began to make out the horrors on this man's face. He was inhumanly pale and blood splattered his body, trailing from his skeletal hands to his disfigured face. His gaze remained unfocused until I was close enough to smell the corpse-like stench radiating from his body. He unleashed a hellish scream before darting towards me, and I reacted to my natural inclination to take refuge. I spotted a apartment-like building adjoining a cafe and made my way upstairs as fast as I could. I hid in the bedroom at the end of the second-floor bedroom as I took stock of my situation. The building I'm has undoubtedly been neglected and deserted for awhile. Empty tin-cans littered the hallways, and I think I saw some other things in the rooms I passed. I could hear footsteps and the awful groans downstairs that eventually disappeared out the back door. I stayed in place for what seemed like an eternity before moving. I moved my way through the complex, finding some soft drinks and canned food. After gathering the courage to look downstairs, I found, to my surprise, a pistol. Nothing like what I had back home, but I took it nonetheless. Having made my way back upstairs, I was glancing through the windows of the building when I heard the distinctive sound of flies.

AS50/M107 used against light armored infantry?
VVired replied to Darkwater (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I don't think you quite understand the offense you committed by calling a marine a soldier. But back on topic, I think it'd be cool if the shooter gets shock if he ever shoots a large-caliber rifle when not proned (just because of the immense recoil. Pretty sure in real life someone could break a bone doing that). -
Other players can be seen on the map !! woot!!!

Blue dots - BLUFOR (All survivors) Yellow dots - Unknown (Zombies and survivors without good visual) Red dots - OPFOR (None in DayZ as far as I know) -
theres a thread already opened and pinned called DayZ Stories for this stuff. Hint - Please don't fill up the forum space. Hard enough navigating through the hacker/anti-pvp/exploits whining threads. If you feel like it, post this to intimidate survivors in the "Introduce yourselves" thread in Survivor HQ,

This is exactly what we need more in DayZ: Bandits who actually kill with a legitimate reason and not for the stats. This is so much better than people camping in one sniping spot who kill just to kill, not for loot or anything.
