actually you don't need to use xpadder it's plug n play with arma. Just use the wireless receiver and set your controls up in game. to all the people who are asking why you would use a controller... M&K for normal control and Controller for driving cars = best setup -

I remember the first time I played, there was only 4 servers which took hours to get in and the mod was in such early dev that there was 9 updates in under 5 hours lol -

Feel free to join my group. We are not a clan we are just a group of 4 that play together 4 or 5 times a week. We always play survivor role (well most of the time anyway) we are a mature group but still enjoy having a laugh while playing. We have been playing together for around 5-6 months now so we are all experienced. We use skype and generally have good mics. Only problem is we are European so play to a CET timezone but I think there is only a 4 hour time difference. Leave me a PM if interested if not have fun surviving! -

Hey I'm interested. 26, being playing since day 1 pretty much. Played PR for arma 2 previously so I have a lot of experience with arma and pvp situations. Only issue is I'm in the UK so I'm not too sure what time that would be for me but I normally get on about now for about 4-5 hours. -

Sounds pretty cool I'd like to join in. Would ideally like to find a server with rp and pvp, like taking hostages and robbing people at gunpoint etc not the mindless 'lets shoot this unarmed guy who just spawned' mentality of the usual players you find in public servers -
I stopped playing for about 6 months due to the fact that a lot of people were just playing with a KoS attitude, don't get me wrong I can understand if you see a sniper guarding an area by all means take him out, but the players who camp spawn areas with high powered rifles and shoot unarmed players is just pathetic. I actually enjoy playing the bandit role but I prefer to role play and sneak up on victims and tell them to drop their weapon etc if they try to escape then I shoot them. Thankfully due to hive servers I can now play the game the way I and many others want it to be played. I just stay away from the official servers as much as possible to avoid these idiots.

alt F4 is a play style??? No dude that's you shitting your pants and quitting like a little pussy! The only time I would condone using alt F4 is if a hacker tp's you. If you just use it to get out of a legitimate PVP situation then you're a douchebag. You're either a really good troll or just completely stupid. -

I think it was removed because players would spawn on coast and just kill each other.... Now that it's removed you just die from some sniper camping in a hill. I'm all for bringing it back, at least you could defend yourself against the assholes who shoot you when you're unarmed. -
literally just got tp'd and killed with the rest of the server on DK1. I have spent the last 4 days trying to get to a location and every time I get tp'd by hackers... I'm done with this bullshit. "Hacker name DennieD or something only person alive during the attack, dont have screen but maybe you can see stuff in logs and shit."

lol yeah I'm just pissed because I have spent 4 days trying to get to a certain location and every time some asshole hacks... What pisses me off even more is the fact I was banned incorrectly (ban has been revoked now) and these assholes have complete control over servers. I'll probably be back in a few dayz again.

Hey so does anyone know what I can do about global bans... Before anyone says well you shouldn't hack, I didn't, I never have and never will hack. I believe there are a lot of people who had issues with being incorrectly banned recently and well it happened to me too. I mostly play DayZ but I was playing a co op mission on combined ops witth my RGG buddys when I got global banned. I tried to contact battleye support but have had no response form them. Any help would be appreciated.

I remember back in the good old dayz when this mod was first released. PVP was awesome, most people would interact with you before killing you, now that all the kiddies have jumped on the bandwagon PVP consists of find a sniper rifle sit in a bush and shoot everything in sight, armed or not. I really do hate when people kill unarmed survivors, especially from a distance with a scoped rifle. I can understand if they are looting something and you're in the same building then they can be a threat but to kill an unarmed player from so far away is just being an asshole, no exceptions.

It's your CPU. Your gfx card is good enough to get higher FPS but Arma requires a good CPU.. I'd say upgrade that and you'll notice a huge increase.

well I'm totally banned from ARMA2 and the PR mod that I play but the strange thing is, I just tried and can connect to any DayZ server even with BE.... Work that one out!

I was banned yesterday afternoon while playing a combined ops mission on my clans private training server.... I was not the only person to be banned, another 2 people were also banned. We have all contacted battle eye support and not had any response from them at all.

That's surely not the only solution to being incorrectly banned, what if it happens again... Should I just keep spending money on new keys? This is a global ban not a server ban, it says not to post global bans in that section

Ok so I have tried to update my version from .4 to .5 manually and it just doesn't work... I have manually updated like 30 times before so I know I'm not doing it wrong. I use six but they have still not updated it to .5 yet. A friend suggested I use DayZ commander but everytime I launch it I get d/c'd from my internet. I know this sounds strange. I thought at first it was maybe just a problem with my router or something but after 20 attempts to use commander I get d/c'd everytime the update hits 16%. Anyone know how to fix this issue with commander or any other ways to update that work, thanks.
