you need to set your story straight. If they are shooting at you' date=' caused damage, they would be flagged. you can kill the murderer all you want. Just not the innocent.Your argument for the car case is 'the guy i want to kill is in a car with innocents, and I should be able to destroy the car and just ignore the collateral damage.' Sorry bud. No. You killed innocents. Deal with it, or don't kill them. Again, you do have some kills leeway before perma flag... And those kills decay over time. I'm sure there is a kill to time played ratio that can be set that says unless you very specifically seek out and murder innocents consistently you won't be perma flagged. -

Maybe you forgot how it worked, let me remind you. A. you kill a survivor and you loose humanity. If humanity was below 0 you became a bandit. B. You killed a bandit, you gained humanity (hooray). C. You were a bandit but gained humanity for behaving (not killing survivors), you eventually will become a survivor again. Kind of like that timing idea, just a little... Note: humanity lost/gained is directly proportional to the amount of humanity that the the player you just killed had. Did I mention that there were magical skins that identified bandits, wow neat-o! It was not account based. And there was no margin for error. ie, a few kills here and there that don't perma flag you. -

As ridiculous as this claim actually is, I would have no problem with a player believing something as stupid as that story. That's his fuck up. At least he had a CHANCE to respond correctly though. They just chose not to. In the current state, its shoot on site. Deathmatch. -

Its in the OP.When someone has accumulated 20+ play hours of tally'd kills. And now suddenly they have to go back into a city for med supplies as a free target for the next week, maybe they think twice. Or not. Its just a minor additional risk for player killing. It deters some. Some won't care. My system really separates the men from the boys. If you want to kill? Fine, do it. But don't bitch when you are a free kill for it. The problem here. the REAL problem with all the naysayers... is you babies all want your free kills at no consequence. Bottom line, you're chumps. -

So then your solutions is.. as I have said all along, its just to shoot everyone. Devolving the game into a deathmatch. Which is exactly what this post is pointing out. Thanks for proving my point. In my proposed system.. if you are flagged as a murder/bandit survivors can kill you at no penalty. Also, bandits can kill bandits freely. -

A flagging/murder system wouldn't provide any advantage to anyone aside from showing who does what. The incentive is being constantly flagged as a murder for an extended period of time. The incentive to bandits to murder survivors is already in the game. Their loot. A flag system doesn't need to be any more complicated than this... after 1 innocent kill, you are flagged for 5-10 minutes as a bandit before returning to normal. every innocent kill adds to a tally. One tally is removed after X amount of play hours. After 4 or 5 tallys, you are flagged permanently as a bandit until your tallys drop below the threshhold again. Tally accumulation is account wide. Not server wide. -

Uhh how do you figure? I like the aspect of being able to kill players. But no penalty or flag for it is retarded. The game devolves into a deathmatch. If I wanted that, I'd play BF3. -

How does this 'kill' the game? Think of all the extra benefits that come from a flagging system rather than being a fucking idiot that can't get your free kills. Main city's could start having bounty hunter posts of player names that are known murderers, with rewards. If you are murdered as an innocent, you can fork up rewards (ammo, food, blood packs, whatever) to whoever finds and kills the bandit. Suddenly bandit packs would run together seeking out innocents to kill, and innocents would band together to fend off the bandits. This kind of stuff happened all the time in UO with a flagging/murder system. Quit viewing things as 'OH NOES I CANT GET MY LEET EZ KILLS FOR FAT NEW LOOTS.' You tell everyone else to not be stupid and get their gear, so how about if you want free gear fucking earn it like everyone else. Not just snipe someone 50 yards away for free. Nothing about a flagging system kills anything. You can still murder people at will You still get their loot. Nothing changes except people know you do it. Bottom line, the nay sayers are just afraid they won't get their free ez loot anymore. Boo hoo, the game just got harder for you. -
