It's been discussed a few times to have a Prison in DAYZ Stand Alone. What type of Prison would people be looking for ? Something like in The Walking Dead, where you could hold up with your Team for awhile until another group bigger and better equipped comes along and forces you out ? How Big should it be ? The prison in The Walking Dead is relatively small in Size, but serves its purpose Some pics of Prison in The Walking Dead for those few that dont watch it Something like this maybe So whats your thoughts ??

Yes agreed, you make it a lot plainer and made more sense than i did, took me frigging ages typing that ( was watching Aussie Football Final and drinking copious amounts of Beer) Alpha release for me, Christmas is just fine

What I will say people have been commenting on things like the emphasis on new additions that will be great when the game is released, however when you don't even have working Zombies as yet they deem these things as pointless. FOCUS on the CORE of the Game they are saying We can run around in a Motorbike Helmet, and it can take a Melee attack for a short period , but I ride Motocross try running in a Helmet for 1 Km, so result people think, POINTLESS , but it was mentioned in countless Videos by Rocket Radio Stations : made available so people can listen to some others play music and or comment across a Server . Can this be serious , did the person who thought of this actually play the Mod with a Group of people and think Shit guys what we need here apart from the fucktard who wont shut up on Global Speak, some other Guy playing Music whilst we are planning to get into a Town and reap the benefits. There are many things being added and most I love, and two I have mentioned are just some I've discussed with others who hate the Ideas, there are many other additions others have bought up they dont like. We know those that are here regularly this has not held the Game up adding these features, but 9 times out of 10 people are seeing these things being added, deem them insignificant in regards to a working Game and say " WHY ARE WE NOT IN ALPHA " They are going by the Dev Videos and things like PAX etc which we love seeing all the things being worked on like Map Development, but for the OCCASIONAL person, they see what i've mentioned above and believe this is whats holding up release.

Think about what he is saying it's quite simple and he is indeed spot on the mark. I will try and explain it another way. People that say " Well it even takes them a Year to make COD and its basically the same every year " POINT being it may only take them 2 Months to finish a new COD but they arent going to release the next Title 2 months after the last one was released now are THEY ? So comparing DayZ to the release time Periods of each COD is Idiotic is it not ?

When its done. Although they are adding so much and the game is becoming more polished I would prefer it was year end. But as always no official release date

What if the Prison had it's own back up Generators that required Fuel. A group could activate most parts of the Prison be it Gates, Security Lighting etc and have total control of the Prison creating a virtual Fortress , however that Group would be forced to scavenge long and hard for Fuel to maintain the control of the Prison, any time that Power Generators went off due to lack of Fuel would leave them vulnerable and open to attack by any other Group or Groups. What do you think ?

Not without Zombies included from initial Alpha release

I disagree, Rocket has made many many mistakes handling this game, HIS words not mine. Don't let this be another . I can just see the Reviewers having a field day, IGN Headlines " DAY released ,Alpha Ships with NO Z " I try to encourage all I meet to join this game in person and our Website, fucking hilarious they will say with no Zombies. Servers Imagine if every Game company thought I hope not too many people play the Alpha because there may not be enough Servers, Ohh dear

I agree 100 % Michael , but they are hiding around the fact the ALPHA could be released without Zombies, not the finished Game. Same in my boat sheer Lunacy, Zombie Survival Game Alpha released with NO Zombies

Others are posting on those old threads, ask yourself why . They find it interesting, they would like some help, it goes on and on. If you lock it they then have to open another Thread on the exact same subject . A pointless exercise. Or am I missing your point ?

I like the Idea but have often struggled with the Mod and I guess the SA in what is the Story ie What happened and how long ago. If the Aplocalypse just happened and you spawn / Wakeup in the game in the begining of it all, things would be just happening, burning Cars, Buildings etc, people frantic, Food , Weapons even, Clothing , Camping Gear would be easily sought and found. If however we start the Game and the Apocalypse happened Months ago, little Food or anything would be left laying around anywhere you would be lucky to come across anything of use . At the moment there doesnt seem to be any clear direction to which of these two the SA will be catering to, it seems to be a mish mash of the two, which is hard to get ones head around. Having a bit of both doesnt work really. Any thoughts ?

Rocket has just recently stated the prison will be on it's own new Island

Wonder if you could randomly spawn with particular clothing It's like shit went down you ran out of your apartment with what ever you had, hence some are dressed in gawdy civvy clothing some could be barely clothed, sometimes you may spawn in a police Uniform and even more random military uniforms. These Uniforms / Clothing become a comodity and will be highly sort after for protection from the elements in some cases as well as we see Vests for protection
