I thought most of us like things realistic. but I guesse some of us just want things dificult even if it is completely, retardely unrealistic. Who goes to a town full of infected just to find a hatchet when the car they probably abondoned had a metal jack or tool they could have taken with them? The CROWBAR is a complete waste of time right now. Why not add that as the starting weapon?

Yeah the action menu is pretty much fucked. I hope they fix that in Arma 3

We want realism. thats why we play Arma 2. I dont want to have to shoot someone in the back and then watch them run away or turn around and "no scope me." garbage. I hope they stick to realism on this. Otherwise you can just go play call of duty zombies or something. Arma 2 is a mil sim for a reason. The damage should always be realistic. fuck tiers. A weapon is a weapon. Its retarded that the 45 caliber revolver 1 shots zombies while the same exact caliber on a 1911 takes 3-4 shots to kill a zombie. fuck that. They obviously dont listen to suggestions outside their little programming group cause I dont think I have yet heard anyone say on these forums that weapons should be seperated into tiers... thats the stupidest idea I have ever heard being implemented on a mil sim.

Right because zombies demolished all the cars and their engines so that they are unrepairable. Make vehicles less rare and at the same time make them need extra repairs to run. That way more players get a chance at fixing a car or a vehicle and using it. I have been playing for months now, yet to find 1 single vehicle. Just make them a pain to repair and get working. but make them less rare. Right now its unrealistically, retardedly rare.

Like most of the people on here we are patiently waiting for the release of a standalone game. I will be buying Arma 3 and a standalone Dayz. Any time lines or clues?? Its hard to keep waiting so patiently.

But who would want to guard a town for countless hours let alone just 15 minutes? Its a game, not real life. Thats why for boring roles like that you need NPCs. Still dont see whats wrong with that idea.

You protect yourself. NPC guards provide assitance and create law and order. Who wants to come in gunning and shooting to a trade camp guarded by soldiers? they are still free to do that if they want. Lets be real, if you want there to be trading and barter like in a real life situations there would have to be NPC guards and some form of fiat currency.

NPCs that guard is not that bad of an idea. Who wants to stand around for countless hours guarding a town in this game just so people can trade and there be some sort of order in place to deal with murderers? Currency is one of the first things that would appear to create order and NPC towns that are guarded for free trade and residence would appear. Look at Water World or Jericho.

Dont understand whats wrong with the idea if you can still be killed in there. A zombie apocalyps wouldnt be anarchy forever...

No respawn button? Group spawn or S/E coast spawn.

Getting rid of the re-spawn button would hurt players that get stuck outside the map in those glitches that happen. I know I got stuck outside the map when I was teleported out there and had no weapons anymore. The only way out of that situation is the respawn button. -
The crowbar is worthless right now. Make that the starting weapon. Problem solved. Who wants to wait by the beach to kill people for their crowbars?

Bullets as currency is unrealistic. Bullets get used up, thats why. Fiat currency is what would first appear when barter started to become bothersome. A fiat currency invented by guarded trading towns where they would give you their form of currency for your trade goods. you then would be able to use their currency to buy things. Look at the movie "Water World" or the show "Jericho" retards. Damn it pisses me off that people say "we dont need currency in a zombie apolcalypse... yes you do. Ofcourse, if there are only 2 people in the world then forget about currency but considering there are plenty of survivors, currency is one of the first things that starts back up because barter is retarded.

No starting with pistol but starting with a melee weapon likea crowbar would be nice and in my opinion, more realistic. As far as logging out goes. They have to implement a logout timer so that people dont ALT F4 in the middle of a fight whether with zombies or players.. The invulnerable thing is stupid because it is the apposite of realism which is what Dayz and Arma 2 are all about. Like I said instead of starting with pistols let players start witha melee weapon like a crowbar or metal bar of some kind.

vehicles are unrealistically too rare. Besides you dont keep them. They stay in their servers anyways. We arent asking to make them super common, just make them more of a factor in realistic terms.

Thats funny. the PVPers would just shoot on sight no? The idea is absurd but Im not entirely against NPC guarded trading posts where you are still not safe but currecy is accepted and things are gain value depending on "supply and demand"

Except that after a few years, If there are sufficient survivors, people would move from Barter to Currency. It's just the natural order of things.

Or how about 1 bulelt to the head for target practice on unarmed newbies. Thats what this game has become now.

It doesnt have to be the same skin as before cause that skin just incentivises people to be bandits. But I agree, there has to be some way of knowing bad from good. In real life you can see trouble coming at you. In this game you just see an identical replica of yourself and have no idea whether they are good or bad so you just shoot.on sight not to take chances. Coop is completely gone unless its on skype or teamspeak. No one aproaches anyone for anything anymore, it's just shooting on sight everytime. The game is a free for all Death Match with zombies in the way of your starting gear and a ton of snipers waiting for you to enter a town just to kill for target practice. It's really getting stupid.

That would take an mmo game to accomplish and I still prefer the NPC guarded camps.. War Z got that one almost right and they stole that idea from our forums. NPC guarded towns where players have laws to follow but are free to break them and face the consequences IE getting shot by NPC guards. In such a town they also have message boards letting you know of known bandits and players can freely trade using a fiat currency.and NPCs buy certain items that are needed for the town like food, ammo, scrap metal. etc. NPCs would pay more based on a formula on supply and demand. To all those people againts adding a currency "because its unrealistic" you need to read some history and learn how Barter ALWAYS leads to currency.

The point is... I have been playing for quite the while now with absolutely no vehicles ever spotted by me or my team. It would be a cool objective to fix a car if we could atleast find one. As someone mentioned above, it is unrealistic that most of the cars on the map are completely demolished while only a few vehicles can actually be fixed. Just asking that they add some more vehicles to make things more realistic. Right now Im going to guess that 1 person finds a car and then uses it to find all the other cars and then they all disapear somewhere. Its stupid.

EXACTLY!!!! Its not like zombies are smart enough to run in zig zag playing matrix with your shots or flanking you. Zombies are stupid. They should just be running straight at you with no fear. I think zombies are slightly too fast as well. Im not a huge fan of the slow zombies but the ones in this game are just way too fast.
