Well, im getting bored of my M4A1 CCO with 6 clips of STANAG SD ammo, now idk approximately the trade value of a Mk. 48 but from what the wiki tells me its a pretty fair trade, so if anyone out there has a Mk. 48 no ammo, ill trade it for my M4A1 CCO with 6 clips. Also dont bother trying to get me to come to you, because i wont and i will have 4 of my friends with snipers watching the trade, believe me or dont its your ass if you try to screw me, you can message on here or you can add me on steam, my steam is CaptainTbag. Idk if he is foreign and doesnt know english or hes a 12 year old trying to hide to badly, but either way, i think he should get the game, sure he might annoy people on the forums but thats what moderators are for, and while he is in game he will likely find some amazing find like 14 heli crash sites, not know what they are or what they do, and then all the cool people will follow him to them and kill him, he will rage and we will get good gear, its a win win! Goggle Steam, download it, make a profile, install it, log on, go to store tab in top left, search Arma 2, click on Arma 2 Free, download and install that, go back to Store Tab, Search Arma 2, buy operation Arrowhead and install it, go to the main site here, download the files, go to Steam/Steamapps/common/Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead make a folder called Addons inside that folder make a folder called @Dayz then put those files in there, there are a few more kinks you will have to google on your own, cant give you all the answers so get researching, plus if you manage to follow these instructions without needing help and can finish the last 2-3 things left to do on your own, it will prove your not a 12 year old, and just a pussy. the day i find a single M9SD mag will be the best day of my life, i found a M9SD and 0 mags for it, and i have yet to find one after a week.

I found a M4A1 CCO with a bunch of mags, i wanna find one of the ones with the CCO SD I had one but foolishly traded it for a M4A3 CCO then a M4A1 CCO. Havnt got a Gillie yet, the upgraded FN FAL is the rarest gun in the game, i would go for one of those, oh and i do have a FN FAL in my pack but no clips for it, i need clips for it.

thats a glich/hack not a fault of the gun, it killed him but he got up after he died, it is a 1 hit kill no matter where.

this would be interesting, but what about the people who dont know they are exploiting? I once joined a server i didnt realize was under patched, i couldnt read the writing in the middle just figured it to be a server message or something, some people were looting i walked up to them, they shot me dead, i respawned with all my stuff, left the server and still have my stuff, so what your saying is if anyone ever visited a server like that we would instantly die even if we didnt know it was there, or if someone duped a item which i hear you can do now, and you kill him and take it, the gun explodes killing you for being duped how is that fair? i think people should report exploiters and they should be the ones who get the hammer, not people who stumble upon that stuff.

Alright so i have seen many people who have had this happen, me included, i want to see just how many people have had this happen to them and if there is a connection between us, here is my story. The first time this happened, i had just learned the ins and outs of the inventory system on dayz, first day in i had found a ALICE pack, i was so happy, finding out from the friend who got me onto this game that i found the second or third best backpack in the game. Well shortly after i met up with this friend, and he showed me to Balota airfield, we walked around until we found some weapons, he gave me the G17 (he calls it the loyaly pistol, if you can kill 10 zombies with it without hitting him or another friend of ours, you can use any gun in the game) never really understood that, but moving on, after awhile i found a AK74 Kobra with 1 clip, i was extatic, first real gun ever, i equipped it, and went around killing stuff, soon after i found a remmington shotgun with flashlight, but didnt want to drop my gun so my friend told me to put it in my backpack and showed me how, a little later and about 20 zombie kills later i had to leave, so i found a safe place and logged off, came back and my kobra was gone and in its place was a different gun, not the AKM but the other ak gun that uses STANAG ammo. i ignored it for awhile, until about a week and a half later, when i started learning about toolbelt items, i managed to find a map, a compass, a watch, ect until i found a gps, so i put my map in my backpack and put the gps on me, i still have the gps, but after i logged off and back on, the map was gone as well as everything else in my backpack, seems as soon as i put a map or compass or what have you, everything just falls into a black hole of death never to be seen again. I lost a map and a pair of night vision goggles so far from the mystery of the backpack black hole. Then the second to last time, probably the one that pissed me off the most, i had been searching around for 3 days, didnt find a thing i could use, so i left the server and went to another server, little did i know it wasnt up to date so connecting to it i found the server empty, no zombies but it had items, and i walked around a little bit and ran into a person, apperently he was item farming on non up to date servers to avoid death, after killing him, one shot to the head with a lee enfield, i looked on his corpse, he had another pair of night vision goggles, and a number of other items i still use to this day, a silenced M9 with 4 clips of ammo, and the prize of the bunch, a M4A3 CCO with 6 clips of STANAG SD ammo, but i made the mistake of putting it in my backpack, server hopped to a server that was up to date, everything was still there, but the M4A3 CCO had become a AKM and the ammo because AKM clips, i was angry but kept going, kept item hunting hoping for a breakthrough, and got crazy lucky, i ran into a DMR, spawned in the chernegorsk medical tents, i replaced it with the akm, bad move, and went along my very merry way, until i got swarmed by a group of zombies chasing 2 players, i had my lee enfield out, shot one but some of the zombies arched off the main group and after me, so i ran for it, picked them off as i went with the silenced M9, and went back for the body, nothing on him i wanted, so i left the server and spent the rest of the day doing other things, came back and lo and behold my DMR had turned into a M24. Which i still have now, and altho it doesnt have crap on a DMR its still a sniper, and its still moderately useful. It seems to me if you put something in your backpack from a corpse, it switches to something else, or if you mix guns and toolbelt items in a backpack, it just dumps them into the endless void of unfinished code that Dayz is. Im not expecting to get my guns back, but for the love of god i hope these bugs get fixed, thats the only thing putting me off from playing the game. What about you? how has this bug affected your gameplay?

Well as of right now i have been item hopping in the barracks. I have gone to about 40 servers, looted what i wanted and then switched, only once have i ever ran into people, they were just coming into the barracks, i took out my silenced pistol and killed 3 of 4 of them, the last one i had shot at least 6 times but he shot me, a zed took him out, after i had finished blacking out i bandaged myself shot the zed, and looted nothing of interest off them. Altho thinking back i once logged in under the stairs at Belota airfield, and a guy shot me before i could even finish logging in, he was camping under the stairs for people, and i spawned on top of him, kind of gay if you ask me im with the OP

probably the same bug thats hit me and my friend, i killed a guy and switched my AKM for his M4A1 CCO SD and when i switched servers it became a AKM, i went back to his body to find a AKM still on his body.

Something like that happened to me once, i was in the NW Airfield Barracks and a group of i have to assume 5-6 people were coming up on me, i had my trust M9SD with me, i emptied 6 full clips of ammo into them, killed at least 4 people before one of them hucked a grenade at me and killed me, to bad to one of them had a gillie suit on :(

are you interested in bringing a friend along? i play this game alot and im getting good at it, if you are interested id like to hang with you and your friends, might be fun.

Count me in, im definately up for this, iv killed my fair share of snipers on roofs but never have i thought of screaming IM BATMAN ASSHOLE right before i kill them.

When i play i go to cher or International Airfield or elektro and i loot, if i see someone i ask if friendly if they answer i aim but wait, soon as that gun goes into the air i pop him in the dome, check to see if hes got anything i want then i move on. i have like 3 murders and 10 bandits right now if i remember correctly

i am with you, i have pitched my system for damage based on how the actual human body works, some of what you have said are being fixed in the next update, and are bugs that will be fixed evenatually, this is in alpha after all.

So about a month ago i bought arma 2 operation arrowhead, installed dayz and had a full month of pure fun, i have enjoyed every minute of it, but i decided to check the forums and i see 2 groups of people who are fighting each other over how the game should be made based on what they want, so why no compromise? My ideas goes as followes, make 2 different types of servers, people buy and host servers they could choose what server they want to host, here are the three groups of people who inhabit dayz as i see it, and what they would like the most. The "Carebear" - The carebear wants easy, wants to play the game with minimal difficulty and wants everything to change to make the game gear more toward PvI (Player VS Infected) and less toward PvP. I say make Carebear servers, where Friendly fire is disabled making it impossible for people to shoot people, this will allow these carebears to play with their friends, make new ones and just find items and stuff and kill zombies, if the other parties dont like it, then avoid carebear servers. The "Suvival Eliteists" - The Survival Eliteist will mostly move on his own or in small groups as they plunder towns in search of equipment and other people to kill, they generally know and have the best equipment or where to get it, and know how to defend himself should he get into confontation. Dont change these servers, leave them the way they are this way each server is exactly how the people want the server to stay, and the carebears who want to make it easier can go to their servers. And then there is me, the item hunter - I go onto dayz, not to kill but to item hunt, i like finding the cool equipment and then i move on to other places to find more equipment, i spent a few hours last night in the international airfield and found a FN FAL among 6 other moderate - very rare guns, just spending that time looking is what drives me to play this game, so for people like this, if they want easy they can go item hunt on carebear servers, or if they want a challange they can item hunt on eliet servers. This as far as i can tell will make everyone happy, lemme know what you think, yay? nay? your thoughts?

with all due respect weed, we are all entitled to an opinion, and if my opinion is the same as others, it would show that its a popular opinion, some people like the fact that people who arnt like him and dont know as much as him just walk in plain sight and get killed and looted, well i dont like people who take advantage of other people who arnt as skilled or who arnt as good as them, i can play the game, iv gone a week without dying so far and iv done my fair share of killing, but im not in it to camp noobs just to piss them off, or spam barbed wire to prevent people going places, all im in this game for is to collect items, and kill zombies, and the accasional asshole who thinks its funny to kill people who spawn on the coast, or to snipe people who are just looking for what they need, personally some servers can afford to have an easy button for those who are new and are less inclined to play PVP, as of right now i think those people should have a place of their own without fear of getting camped, as for me? ill stick to farming places for phat loot while i kill you before you have the chance to kill me.
