How to install the ArmA II: OA Beta Patch (With screenshots & a video)

Guys it is best to get it off Steam. Once you downloaded both you just right click on Arma II: Operation Arrowhead and then click 'Properties' and then click on 'Set Launch Options' and then add this: -mod=@dayz -nosplash Then you just download Six Launcher which is on the main website and then update it which then it will download and update the game for you. Once you have done this pick a server and you are ready to play! (This is for Steam and the way I did it, it takes around 5 minuites). -
When you log in it says: (Name of place) (Where you are near) ( Day X) Question is: How do you make it to day 1? Do you have to survive for 24 Hours whist staying logged on? Because I am always on Day 0!

Yeah, I posted that question too. I am waiting a reply for it though, hopefully someone will reply in one of ours. (Always best to see if you're question you are about to ask is already up there or not!). -
Just make sure you see them before they see you, if they are KOS people and they see you first, I don't know what options are left but to shoot them. Since if you run they can easily spot you and shoot you. Always best if you wan't a little team since it can be boring after a while playing SOLO get some friends and hook up with them or join a clan on here. (Make sure they are not a HOAX and kill you!).

Join a group to play with, make you own bandit team, blow up buildings with satchel charges, crash land a helicopter in a full server in Elektro or Cherno and see how people react to it. Get a Sniper and own people. (Not anything else which I can think off).

I think there was a bandit that wrote something around 3 days ago that he killed both of you and you both raged :D I dough it is you, just wondering if it is though.

Yeah you can, just let it use the settings it automatically has instead of changing it on 'Options' Since mine is on High I just leave it because I do not want to cock up my game play. -
I am alone so I will post what I have so far (Took me around 10 minutes to get it since I killed someone!) I have: M249, Markarov PM, Alice Pack. (Plenty of ammo and food and equipment for this).

I seen some guy running from zombies, I was trying to shoot him with my trusty Makarov PM since he was running straight at me, but all the shots I took to try and kill him it killed all of the Zombies behind him... I need some aiming lessons since most of the time I try and kill people I will never hit them..

@puffu Just find some close friends or people you can trust which you were friends on Steam before. You are bound to have a good time and you can always trust them to cover you're backs. Do not trust the world and people of DayZ unless they trust you. -

I like it when it is turning dark, since it is easy to see and it seems scary and realistic. And most of the loot will be left so just loot like you have never looted before! -

1. I swear they aren't that rare, I find them mostly all around Cherno and Elektro, look in the little market? 2. There is none, I have no idea. Just ask Rocket and the DayZ Crew. 3. You need matches to light fires, you get a log and then you put it on the floor and by clicking on create fire place and then click light fire. Hope I helped (I didn't read that boy scout stuff!). -
1. Just hit the main city's [Electro and Cherno] Just be stealthy and patient then the zombies will not attack you. 2. You can use the middle mouse button when the little gun sign comes up. 3. Click ESC and Abort and then click OK by the bottom right and then you will start a new character, this game is "Hardcore" So that is what it is. I hope I helped and gave valid information, I am off to watch T.V now!

I am not sure that it works if you try the free version with the Operation Arrowhead since it doesn't consists of all the files that the full version does. So just be patient and download it while watching youtube videos, strolling around on the forums or do something else like go outside/watch T.V like I did (I had Chicken Pox at the time and now I am left with god damn scabs all over me!) I hope I helped and gave valid information.
