  1. Anybody else slightly disappointed with the colours of clothing? Primarily, the Blue / Black clothing. The blue is darker than black sometimes. Black is not black. Sometimes it's Grey, sometimes its dark blue. The blue lumberjack shirt is almost florescent. The hats are fine. Although, I am quite fussy.

    I think it's supposed to accommodate the issue of item size. How many morphines and epi-pens could you fit into a lock-box? Probably 10+ Same goes for a lot of things, you could fit 100's of batteries into your bag... OP is generally right but I get the feeling that it's simply and issue of tweaking, which will hopefully come sooner or later. So, it makes sense to give more, and it makes sense to balance how much more you get. You only get 2 extra slots.

I prefer the trade-off, I can handle having just several slots as long as I'm slightly harder to spot.

Tools: Stone Fail Chance: **% of losing the stone. 10% chance of being struck will that stone :D Enchantments: (can still get wet form rain) Action type: STORAGE> Stand under taller tree. throw up rope+rock to make pulley, tie backpack to rope, hoist the backpack, voilà! scroll on the rope, select, Untie then your backpack appears nearby. You'll see a stream of rope going down the tree and a back pack up the tree.

Enchantments: Action type: IED> Put all the ingredients into the box, right click, select> Craft bomb the logic is... you have a box with a grenade firmly fastened inside. tie a bit of string to the pin, feed it through a hole in the box (made by screwdriver, has to be discrete), firmly fasten the string with a simple knot, cover with duct tape. Open the box (run up to it, press G or select GEAR), the string pulls the pin, que the ping SFX and 5 seconds later BOOM the beauty is, you can inspect items before you pick them up (if i remember rightly). so, you'll see if it's a trap if you're cautious enough and still have 5 seconds to run if you're not. It will still attract lots of attention.... Put a walkie talkie in the box and you have a short range lure.

    If you find a pair of sticks, hold onto them, you can make a splint by combining them with rags. You cannot store the Splint in your inventory.

    I agree. Night gameplay is 1/2 of this game. If the issue is not addressed then Team Rocket might as well remove all the night-assist objects. It's an exploit, worse than most. . EDIT: Please introduce GAMMA locked servers.
  14. I bought Arma 3 Early Release for £20.... I had no intention of contributing towards its development I did it because... months later, it would be £40. That's why I bought Day That what I call an investment. If DayZ dev are too lazy to hire play testers.... oh wait, they are hiring play testers and profiting from it

    What we're seeing now, is an Arma 3, modded with zombies. We have Arma 3 dayz, don't we? No doubt, ~Dayz SA~ it will progress, but wouldn't an ~arma 3 dayz mod~progress just the same?

    I noticed this. I thought to myself> "After all this time, the "Early Release" is actually less than what I expected." I expected a bug filled cluster-fuck. But not a wake up call. Dean Hall, has had a good amount of time, based on his pre-cached resources, he should have had a flying start. Then, he says it's going to take more than a YEAR to reach BETA. THAT is saying something. That is a wake up call.

    REAL SFX.. or not.

    I just got back from the internet underground and it wasn't long before I was thinking about DayZ. I viewed a few video's where people are beheaded. Cast your judgement at me all you want but I can say that I greatly appreciate having my head more than I used to and have a greater respect for the fragility of our fleshy bodies. So, when the blade enters the throat, there's a crazy sound. The blood gargling, futile sound as the throat is separated from the lungs but the lungs still instinctively breathe in and out. Sounds like a hissing pig sound. So, I figured if you want to make DayZ more horrifying, you could include similar sound effects as zombies eat your corpse. Maybe have a 1/100 chance of it occuring just before death. Or after dying from a PVP knife attack or something similar > Being shot in the neck. As the sound effects stand, they're treated as two different entities.. There's a zombie sfx. There's a player sfx. There's no synchronisation between the two and there's no real.. realism. There's a demand for physical interaction between players and zeds. Like seeing them grab you, hold on etc. I think this idea is its twin (twisted) sister. [May I ask how SFX for the SA are progressing?]

    Hopefully, maps in the SA will be more flexible. So, you can write on the map, placing several markers and some text perhaps. It would be very useful, keeping track of your stashes. So... why should that info go to waste? Upon killing a player, you should be able to have access to all that info if he/she has been writing on their maps. Info placed on the maps should be UNREMOVABLE (Unless you're using GPS). Let's take a step closer to realism here, the maps in the current DayZ mod seem too digital. Maps could become commodities to barter with. Leave a map on a dead body, telling of vast loot and lie in wait for the would-be treasure hunter. Could have a "destroy map" function if you have a lighter. To stop clans gaining valued info. Just use your imagination, quite cool how a small feature could have a dimensional impact on how the game is played.

    I do not agree with anything you just said, it looks like you took a spade to a concrete floor, hoping to dig a hole. (e47) I'm pretty sure my apology flew over your head, which shows me your objective here. That's why I'm not going to pay much attention to what else you have to say unless it has something to do with the map-marker intelligence gathering idea.

    Nobody is making you use map markers or direct chat but those who want to play that way should be able to do so. But overall, by using Skype/TS, you're diminishing gameplay value, you're denying people the rights to spy on other groups of people (who would otherwise be using direct chat) to gather info etc. Same thing would go, regarding the map markers... if all the users of Skype/TS objected towards this idea. It's selfish thinking. I can't believe you didn't see that reply coming :| Not only THAT, but you only have one demographic in mind.... People with friends to play dayz with... What about the people who play alone?? Let me guess.. Having friends(/active gaming friends) makes you more important than them?

    Everythings optional here. Use skype or don't. Use the map markers or don't. I think your opinions are misguided and sorry if I offended anybody by perhaps insinuating that you're not a player who wants immersion, but a player who wants PVP advantage, making things easier to create an arcade experience. Here we have a possible feature that could improve gameplay and you're worried about being called an exploiter, rather than wondering if it's an idea that would add more depth to the game, It's not my fault we're going off topic here, I asked if he used skype, he used a similar system, question justified. Take my attitude in any way that you want, the idea is out there, it's up to the team if they'd like to consider it.

    I know there's a line to be drawn, that's why my and my friend use STEAM's text chat. Good for hooking up. Easily cast aside. Haven't killed eachother, we hook up fast enough and still get to play DayZ for what it is. Like I said (let me phrase it differently), I think it would be a damn shame if a resource outside the designated structure of a game took away features that could improve gameplay for the players who want to play the Core DayZ. I dunno, call me crazy. I figured it would bring objectives into the game, which it sorely needs, without them being artificial. Killing a player, finding a map with several red dots...     Well, there a people who want to play a game and there are people who want to immerse themselves inside a world. This is an idea for the people who want immersion. Just like direct chat. It's there, people use it even tho there's Skype because they want to be surviving in a Zed+Bandit infested world Marked Maps. People use it even tho you can use other resources. You don't have to place markers if you don't want to. IMHO, Skype is an exploit (It's been discussed in depth in other threads, this is the general outcome) and it's ruining the experience for the true DayZ player who turns his/her head away from exploits. I think it would be a damn shame if exploiters took away features that could improve gameplay for the players who want to play the Core DayZ. I do think there should be a way of removing markers tho. (Whenever I get ink on something, I spray it with deodorant, it liquefies the dry ink and it's easily rubbed off)

    A broken shotgun. 0.5% chance of spawn in a weapon loot pile. (Resi 1) If there's a mall, perhaps a dead body in a wheel barrow with his leg bandaged. (Dawn of the Dead) Maybe some Dawn of the Dead clothing. I don't think it's productive in any way for us to think of idea's tbh. It would just be fantasy musings. It's meaningful to the people who produce the games or if the developers owe other people thanks for inspiration that helped developers get to where they are today or help DayZ exist to begin with. So yeah, any idea that we think of would never make it into the game or be relevant in the broader sense or purpose for an Easter egg. (Unless Rocket just wants to prove me wrong for the hell of it and add one of these idea's :| ) BUT... DayZ started as a MOD right? We not pay homage to one of the most successful mods ever? Or the single mod that opened peoples eyes to the credibility of modding. The one mod that put its foot in the door.
