Hello, on most servers, i can hardly play the game due to lag. It's awful. I get maybe 2 FPS. I can run most new games on max settings with my PC, and it doesnt matter if i set the settings to very high, or very low, FPS stay the same. Now, its not my ping, since its always below 100. what is this? I'm thinking of quitting because i cant play the game seriously. And whenever i see a player, he can kill me without any resistancesince i cant even aim at him with the low FPS. Do you know any fixes to this issue? It clearly has to be something about the mod, since ARMA 2 runs smoothly singleplayerwise. I wouldnt mind 15 FPS, or 20, but 2-4 is unbearable thank you for all suggestions: What i did already: went into documents and changed some values to 1. Nothing happened.

Found the fix: Skype was using about 15% of my CPU, when i was talking with my Friend. Now we are using Teamspeak to save CPU-space, and i dont have any lag at all anymore. Thank you can be closed

I found out:Ö In the first few minutes, its works fine, but then after 10 minutes its already lagging, and after 20 minutes, its unplayable... :D

So it has to be something with dayZ. Btw. i sometimes find a server that is perfect. On some (extremely rare!) servers, i can actually play the game. m,y Specs: Graphics: Mobility Radeon HD5850, 1GB CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 N930 2Ghz Quad Core 4GB RAM anything else? Its not High-End, but it should be enough to run at lowest Settings, and like I said, settings dont make a diffrence. Thank you

Hey, i cant join some server: It says i need: 1.96061 I downloaded everything in the Game Manager, updated everything i could, but i still cant join servers like DE57. Its really annoying. What else can I download to get that version? Thank you

Hey, so ive been playing this thing for quite a while now, and surprisingly?? ive not met a single friendly person EVER! In the end either both of us or I die. Just today ,after surviving about 2 weeks (because i luckily didnt meet a single person) i got shot after talking to the guy. I was in cover, telling him im friendly, and he said something like " This is a game, idiot, go die!" and then he ran at me and shot me. I think i killed him, too, but not sure. In the end, nobody won. And now after two hours i saw a guy, and i wrote Friendly and because i didnt want trouble, i ran away from him. But instead of letting me go, of course he had to chase me for 15 minutes to eventually kill me because i only hat a stupid Double Barrel Shotgun with 2 Rounds, i didnt get him with those and i died. For nothing. I even RAN AWAY! I gave up all the loot in the area to him and still everyone seems to kill on sight. What the heck? Ive seen so many vids about people yelling "friendly" into their mics and it actually working, but i just get disappointed every time. This is kind of a deal breaker for me, because instead of being happy to see someone, I WISH it was singleplayer. So what do you think? Is there any hope for Multiplayer people like me, or is this game free PVP from now on? Because then i wouldnt even try to save human lives, i would just go COD on everybody i see... but that kind of makes the whole thing useless, doesnt it? I might aswell paly COD then. Thank you

Well, thank you for al the answers. Ill see what happens next time i see a player... might tell him via chat that im a bandit, so hell run away :D Because it seems like people take advantage of the "friendly"-typers. Whenever they know the other guy is friendly, they have nothing to fear...

Hello, since the recent update, whenever me and a friend switch servers, we ended up at the shore-spawnpoints again. Twice this has happened now. Luckily we found a bus and drove all the way up to the north. Now, im having terrible FPS issues on that server (dont know why, its not my System, its the server) so we want to switch so i can actually play the game. But we really dont want to spawn at the coast again. Do you people know whats causing the spawn-mistakes? So what do we need to do to make sure we spawn on a good server, where we belong? Any suggestions`? Thank you

Hey, me and my friend were near Pustoshka. THen we spawned today after some issues (Loading-Screen). But instead of being far inland, we ended up spawning in SOlnichny (him) and KOmarovo (me) Is there any way this could be fixed? Thank you

hm... kind of sucks that we also spawned a million miles apart. Hm, if there are no zombies or Bandits preventing us from surviving, the game will just spawn us at the coast again. We never got to NW airfield! Something always happens

Hello, so i watched a tutorial on youtube about how to destroy the glass-windows in front of the hospital. I took a few empty cans with me and thres 2 of them at the window. Nothing happened. Then i got mad, took out my M1911 and shot at the window. It was still ok. Then a zombie went after me, so i had to leave. Now, before i start a new attempt... what do I have to do to break that glas? Thank you very much

Hey, me and a friend were looting Zeleno, as some Zombie ran up to him. No problem, we wanted to go to a god place and execute that little bastard :D Anyways, the zombie turned into the incredible hulk and broke his bones first strike. Now we are in Zelenogorsk, and i want to get him some morphine? How do i do that? Whats the closest and best spawn point? I really dont know how to hande the situation :D Thank you

So, while i dont want to buy another Copy and create another steam account, what game do you recommend for a simily experience? Fallout 3? New Vegas? Stalker? Any other suggestions? I want realistic situations (post apocalyptic) Realistic gameplay (I have borderlands and while its fun, its annoying that regular bandits survive dozens of bullets) Good Free-Raom environment So, if i want to play a Dayz-like game singleplayer, what do you think would be most satisfying? Someone has been playing APB huh? But i like the system of having a "police". People that dont like bandits try to catch them alive (we need some kind of a realistic reward). And being able to knock players out in loot areas so you dont kill them is absolutely PERFECT! I would just switch to the rubber bullets get him knocket out for 2 mins and loot the rest and go away.... PLEASE PUT THIS IN THE GAME!

Hello, before I begin, I would like to make sound of my huge appreciation for the game. Thank you developers for taking the time to finally create a real Zombie Open World Survival game. Now, that i get to the point real (realistic), I realize that things are not quite like I would imagine it. First off, if a zombie apocalypse hit our world, I would at least save a water bottle and a small supply of food before I ran to the ocean (?) :) So why do we start with nothing? Starting with one can of food and a water bottle only makes the start easier, in the end, once your food is used, you willl still need to loot. Its simply realistic that you don't die of thirst in a rainy country! But when I start a new game right now, I already panic if i don't find something to drink or eat. Please give us at least a water bottle or let us drink water directly from lakes and wells. Btw. i like the fact that you don't have a weapon in the beginning. Now new ideas i would love: -Making chests like in minecraft (bad example maybe). Let us store our backpacks somewhere if we have two, so we can leave stuff behind without loosing it... maybe this is already possible, i just havnt discovered it yet. Of course dying would have to make those disappear so you really start at zero again and dont just kill yourself. -give us a "FRIENDLY"-button. A simple sign would appear over your head so the person knows you wont shoot him directly. I simply HAVE to kill on sight because the risk of loosing everything while typing is ust too damn high! ;) -give us a map in the beginning. Who doesnt have a map of his own country in his home when zombie apocalypse starts? Everyone is using browser-maps anyways, lets be honest. -wouldnt it be cool to have a NPC town where you could get jobs or buy stuff? Im not sure yet if I like that idea, but it would be realistic enopugh. You hunt some animals or sell some food for other stuff. A simple trade market !without any currency! That would be it. If we could start out more realistically with a water bottle and a small bit of food, could drink directly from sources, hide our valuable stuff somewhere, tell other players more quickly that we wont shoot at them, and if there was a way to create a trade market (black market style) in Chernarus..... THis would be the best game ever made, by far! Thank you

well the sign above the head is not directly realistic, but it has to be possible to shout out to someone that you are a peaceful player and to make sure he gets your message! So you are telling me that black markets wouldnt be created in a apocalypse? I believe that this is pretty likely. People using the needs of humanity to get rich... sounds like a human being to me :D

Hello, i've been surviving so far, have gathered a good supply of cans and soda and a water bottle. Now i found a CZ 550 a while ago, and i was so excited, i threw away my Winchester, thinking the sniper was rare... well it isnt. So no i regret my decision. Should I? I am about to move inland witha friend, hes shooting a crossbow and a makarov. Should i keep looking for winchesters (or equal) or has the snipers its strenghts, execpt for bandits? Im more of a freidnly survivor than a bandit, so I look at PvP only at defense. I fee lterribly weak with the sniper. I mean, i cannot shoot someone unless hes far away. I would need a good sidearm to suceed. Buti dont have one. So what do you thing? The CZ 550 is a hunting weapon... will i be able to hunt better? Will i be able to defend myself good enough? Or is the CZ (or any sniper) useless in survival gameplay? Your thoughts please! Thank you

so now i exchanged it for the double barrelled shotgun... was that a good move? I heard you can now stack the slugs and its not terribly loud i heard... what do you think?
