  1. I'm growing tired of hearing the same all whining from the same old faces.  If you've made your point then don't bother making it again or I will remove it.  People are working hard to get this game developed.  If you think you can do better then go do it. Don't keeping whining like a kid who can't get his own way.  It's too boring to have to read.  If I have to issue bans I will but I'd rather deal with adults who make their point in a reasoned way and then move on.

  2. Or how about if you've nothing to contribute you don't post?

You object to a thread because you feel you have nothing to contribute yet you post to say it should be moved to grave yard.

I'm closing the thread but leaving it here for others to read for the rest of the day.

  3. We're not all like that though. I'm a pc gamer through and through but I have an xbox controller too. I've not actually managed to ever get it working but even with an xbox but I'd happily use it if it helped.  Sold the xbox still in box brand new. I could never see the point in unpacking it as I had the pc.  Of course now my pc is broken and I'm using my pitiful lappy, I wish I had tried the xbox.

  4. People like different games but they are all dayz mods and just as valid as each other.  The standalone is a bigger challenge in my view, because you have to tackle so many elements of the environment and life. But let's face it, if you pay for a game then it needs to have detail and staying power.  And the standalone will have.

I liked the fact the mod was easier to play because I didn't have to think too hard. I'd grab an axe, tin of soda and can of beans and then start killing zombies. Bliss!

Also, can we have one conversation where only adults reply and where kids don't post their criticisms of anyone who doesn't happen to have the same opinion?  You do not have tell others they are wrong, to hold an opinion different to theirs.

  5. Hi guys, I've hidden a couple of posts because they're a little too criticising of someone trying their best to speak a foreign language, or refer to the criticism. To me anyone who can do that deserves a pat on the back.

Just to confirm, we had complaints about criticism but some posts were just hidden because they quoted it it not because they've done anything wrong themselves - for example, tomatosupra was backing shrub   I hid the post but couldn't then leave others referring to it.

    Cheers,

  6. I miss the mod too. It was so beautifully simply.  You geared up and went killing zombies, all the time trying to avoid the COD types, trying to stay alive as long as you could.  I did 180+ days and got shot by a kid sniping fresh spawns from a hill top.  Ah memories.  I loved the early mod.  Now my PC is broken so I can't play and don't know what it's become.

  7. I have to disagree with Stryker.  I found that once you've got it sorted in your mind what you need to do then it's pretty much plain sailing. Search for what you.

To better answer your question: the standalone is bought via Steam and is in alpha. That means it is still in development but early release means you can play what is already been developed while it continues to be made. It is playable as you can see from footage on youtube, for example. There will always be complaints about too many of this or too few of that and you will never please everyone but yes, it's fun to play right now.  Just keep in mind it's not a fully working game with all things added yet.

Ask if you have any other queries and good look.

  8. Seems to me that no matter what we think there is always someone else out there with an entire different view, and who just wants to kill you.

You can be the nicest most friendly player but you will end up with a bullet in your skull because you're not playing with your best mates or even people who know what a great guy you are.  You're playing with strangers, some of who don't have a mic and intend on using their axe as much as they can and who very possibly don't speak English.  It's all part of the spice of life.  Enjoy!

  9. I have never been able to fully come to terms with some bugger or other shooting me in the face after I've just finished coming to his rescue as a medic.  Not sure I will ever get over that.  Just got to grit your teeth and carry on, or go postal, maybe?

  10. Welcome to the forums, MedicHere.  I've been playing for a couple of years (mod first of course) and I still remember my first few hours on a server.  I was shaking with nerves, excited and scared at the same time.

I remember finding my first axe.  Never loved an axe as much as I did that first one.

  11. Some of us are friendly, though most are cautious with players they don't know.  If you get to know a few players you might find it easier to develop a sense of trust but it's tricky.

If you ever see me on a server, which is unlikely at the moment as my pc is broken until the end of the month, you can ask me for help.  I never kill other players and play as a medic.
