I'd be interested in meeting up some time. I'm in my 40s so probably the oldest old fogey in the forums. I'd like to meet up with people who have an objective, even if it's just try to meet up and get to X or Y. :thumbsup:

I'm not really complaining, I thought that was clear from my thread. I don't have any complaints about DayZ, just frustrated watching people looking for players and not reading that there are lots already doing the same. I didn't find one my first week. Died from thirst, feel for you. Be very careful and sneak into the local town's store. They're always full of players killing each other so go when it's quiet. Grab soda whenever you can. Remember keep an eye on your inventory. You pick up six sodas and you won't realise all your other stuff is dropping on the floor! :thumbsup:

I agree Sol, I don't need a gun, I'm comfortable with a hatchet. I'm not interested in shooting players and I find it easier to kill zombies with the hatchet. :thumbsup:

(I still can't get over what a sweet thing that was for her to do). :thumbsup: BUT, these ghillie suits seem popular and the ladies must be getting sick of coming across them, as must some of you guys. So how about everyone who has a ghillie suit and is interested in swapping it here for gear, post how many ghillies you have to swap and what it is you want to swap for. Be precise, so as not to disappoint people. So say "1 morphine and 1 antibiotic", or "a map", or "a compass" or an "M140 and 2 ammo" or something like that. Don't say 8 antibiotics or something that is too hard to get. :thumbsup: Also, if you want a ghillie suit, reply here in the forum to the person you want to swap with. Use their name and give them beans, so they know someone has made an offer. Say "I'd like your ghillie and have the morphine and antibiotic you want" or make an offer. Remember if you don't have what they want then you need to go better in your offer. No point saying "don't have it but I have a crowbar you can have!" :huh: If you do swap, please thank the person you swapped with here, and say if it went well. I realise most of you probably won't be interested in this thread, that's fine please ignore it and carry on about your day. :) I know Catman is looking for a ghillie suit. I'll ask him to post here with an offer to swap. :thumbsup:

Is there any chance we can ask for this thread to be stuck at the top for a few days please? With some many new people posting it's slipping down the pages in minutes instead of hours. :thumbsup: Also, I'm not going to push this thread again. If people don't want it that's up to them. And don't enter into agreements unless you are going to stick to them no matter what. It's dishonorable and people will no longer trust you if you let them down. If you're too young to play this game and don't yet understand what that means, it means the next time you really want something, no one will swap with you. Be a man or woman of your word or don't enter these contracts. <_<

I right click on my flashlight and select the menu option "Remove from belt". I then "reload" it I hit the L button and then try to use the flashlight by holding my right mouse button. Nothing. What am I doing wrong? Please tell me. I can't get the flashlight, the hatchet, the compass, the watch or any of those things to work. I've read help guides and watched vids but no one every actually says exactly what to press. I'd appreciate an easy answer that all us noobies can understand, from any helpful person. Thanks Sula x

I can't see any "contact a moderator" options, so I'm asking here for help. Last night my Messenger envelope at the top of the screen stopped work and I still can't access my messages. I click and it just goes blank. Anyone know who to report it to or what I need to do? thanks

Thanks for explaining that to me. I'm not going to pretend I understood it all but now I understand what Alt-F4 does. So people use it to get away from zombies? That's good to know. I keep having to stop running, hit esc, move to abort etc and have lost half my blood by then. I think you're saying it's considered unethical by some to get out quick if being shot at. As I don't shoot at anyone who isn't already shooting at me, I have no problem with the theory of using it. But I thought it was meant to be buggy and risky.

Lying in Elektro, bleeding out, trying to keep alive because I gave IamflamezIflack my word I would replace the ghillie suit I had offered him, which a sniper took from me with my life. I asked for help from a medic and Recentis replied so quickly I thought I was imagining things. Not only did he give me a transfusion but he took me to where I was trying to get to in his helicopter. I feel like I've just been in a movie! It was the only moment I ever felt safe in Dayz! I wanted to give him something but he was so kind and said thanks but he didn't need anything. Not needing anything in DayZ! Wow! My thanks to Recentis and to all the medics. :thumbsup: So if you ever took a shot at a helicopter or anyone who announced they were medics, think twice before doing it again. <_<

He's a medic. If you get hurt and need help on any server the medics covering that region come to help you. They let you know which server when they arrive. ;)

Breaks your heart when that stuff happens. I just got dropped off in a location only for the server to crash and cause my whole computer to hang. I'm now worried that when I go back in I will have lost the cargo I was carrying. <_<

I'm still kind of excited from the surprise of seeing a helicopter land in Elektro and Recentis calmly and professional appearing, giving me a transfusion and guiding me in the dark, then taking me to where I was heading in his helicopter. I want to tell everyone about it about 100 times! :blush: :thumbsup: Thank you so much for your help, Recentis. I wish I had the words to better express my gratitude.
