Shepardx, I have been to the airfield many, many times but I have never found that medical tents. South of the airfield is water. Am I losing my mind?

You're in the UK, friend. I am too and I get that over and over. I can spend 40 minutes trying to get into servers for ten minutes play. Frustrating. :emptycan: Yep, Dallas servers good, dunno why. :thumbsup: Also, there's a good server to play that is made available to the public at night BUT is locked during the day. DE 23 HOWEVER, it has a different character database, so you spawn new in there, play the game and leave BUT when you go to other servers you are back to where you were BEFORE you spawned in DE 23. When you go back to DE 23 you are wherever you were the last time you were on it. Has a different layout, there's a military tent hospital down on the South coast.

I completely disagree with almost all of you. I am no coward. In fact I'm quite the opposite. I live my real life and my dayz life honorably, and with fair play. However, there is a god in dayz and his name is Rocket. You might not like it but it's his tune to which we must all dance. However, when an idiot boy who is too young to legally play this game, shoots at me and I am unarmed I believe I should be allowed to do anything I can to stay alive. Apparently, Rocket disagrees and is putting in place ways to prevent it. He's the boss. As to the connections, we don't have good broadband in the UK. It's 42% of the international average. That's not whining, that is a statement of fact. Facts are things which can be proved, rather than opinions, which we see a lot of in these forums. As to lag, there's nothing I, or my ISP can do about that. If you get a good ping, fantastic but it's still a meta-advantage. Perhaps Rocket should introduce a way of forcing us all to play with the same ping, as that too is an other worldly advantage. Dez, isn't it passed by your bedtime, sonny? :huh:

Real life important matters mean I have to leave the house in 25 mins. I'm between Gulova and Msta. Atre, you're showing all the signs of a successful player. You got sniped and it's a shock. It does hurt, not just because of what you gathered but because your efforts were reduced down to nothing but a bullet to some other player and that's lousy. No idea, as that's the version I have. However, I used dayz Commander and 6launcher to run it too. In fact they're more reliable and faster, now I think about it. I bought Arma2 and Comibined Operations from Steam. I downloaded DayZ from the official website. Then got those two launchers I mentioned above. It's a frustrating game, and you do die a lot but it's a great game too. :thumbsup:

I'm not a big fan of downloaded games because Steam and the others keep too much control over you and press you with adverts. They keep offering "free" games to download but when you do, you have to buy credit to play them. However, I found Steam a very quick way to access dayz. That's once the last update of Arma 2 was released. I had to sit here and wait about 6 weeks. Works now though. :thumbsup:

What? A ban? By whom? I've never tried this alt-f4 thing but this stuff is getting ridiculous. I am one of the most honorable people I know. I live by honesty and by the rule: do no harm. But I'm told that I am a cheat if, for example, I spawn on a beach and some ignorant little ill-bred, uneducated shit-bag twelve year old sociopath (who is too young to play this game) wants to blow out my unarmed brains and I choose to abort? Should I stand still and salute? Fuck that. Where are these rules? I want to read them for myself.

I don't give a damn what people think of me. If a zombie is trying to kill me I abort, and if some bandit is trying to kill me I would do the same if I could move fast enough. I don't shoot anyone, ever unless they shoot at me and the people who have shot have me, have all done so while I was unarmed. I'm the one who knows right and wrong. No one gets to tell me it's ok for them to blow out my brains and then whine because I aborted. I'm a pacifist, so I don't take crap from whiney kids unhappy they didn't get to mindlessly kill yet another player for their bandage and flashlight. :thumbsup:

Just happened to me too. These hackers leave you feeling vulnerable. If dayz developers can't stop them, how are we going to play the game? I can spend 6 hours trying to find a server I can get into (we in the uk have crappy pings) and out of that I'm lucky to get an hour or so actual game time. To finally get in and then lose it all to some malicious hacker is heartbreaking.

Bumping just in case any adults see the thread and can offer advice. Is there anything this poor guy can do to stop being a crow. I've suggested he goes into a server with a pal and let the pal shoot him, so he can spawn again.

I have a friend who bought Arma 2 and Arrowhead of steam, same as I did and while he can play dayz, when I set up an Arrowhead Armory server he can't get in except as a crown. But how do you kill yourself if you're already dead? If a hacker turns you into a crow, why is this guy coming back as a crow in other servers? Does anyone know enough about arma or dayz to be able to explain and advise? Sorry you're having a similar problem, kickass. I'll let you know, if I work it out. Ok, Kickass, thinking about it, if you are still a crow (that's a spectator - though that shouldn't be an option in dayz, it the hacker who did that to you) then you need to try other servers. If that doesn't work the only thing to try is find someone here who is willing to meet you in a server and you land so they can shoot you and then try to respawn as new player.

Got up early to read forums. Thought I'd take a look at where I was in the game, what time it was on the server etc. But no, I'm transported to a glitchy beach and offered a new life. I choose female and I die, I repeat and am in Elektro. Felt annoyed as I was with another player and was going to meet him were we last aborted out of the game. So then I take a look at the server and there's only other person on it. Plus it's dark so I take a strole into town, help myself to food, water, a map, binoculars, and watch. Of course, the weapons were poor but I don't mind. The only thing I can't find is a bigger backpack. I was falling over them a couple of days ago. Damn, I love this game, and all it's dumb glitches. :D

You meet the nicest people in Dayz, they save your life, help you out and then invite you to go kill people with them. Oh no, no, no, no, no. Thank you very much but I'm just looking for food and trying to get out of town. :huh:

I think it's a bug. To those explaining to move mousewheel, that's kind of you but that isn't available. Sometimes there's nothing or somethings a circle and you see the little green rifle. Get's boring moving around for five mins and the zombies get so bored queueing to kill me outside. :blush:
