Need Medical Assistance? We can help.

Thanks Austin. I must have every ruddy communication in the world on my server, except yours. I'll send you a message, thanks.

Need Medical Assistance? We can help.

Hi I'm on the outskirts of balota, hidden between two trees. I was bleeding badly, my blood is very low but I stopped the bleeding. I'm down to 578. I have my coordinates and the server I'm on. Are there any medics who could give me a quick blood transfusion please, and maybe a lift back to elektro too? I was transported from there to Balota! I'm on skype at sulalee01 - only official medics and trusted people please.

    First Murder

Welcome, HerrJon. It must be horrible to have to kill, and I'd feel bad too. I'm sure I will when I finally have to kill someone. You're right to play the game your way. Do it how it feels right to you.

    Bandits, bandits everywhere.

Hi Daisah, welcome to dayz. I'm a friendly player. In fact I've never shot anyone, not even in self defence. I would say make friends via the forum and something like skype or teamspeak - then go into servers. You can't trust people you meet on servers. Have fun

    Why am I being punished?

Best of luck, Roswet and welcome to dayz and the problems of alpha stage playing. Hi, Cindy. Good tip. Though on some screens the ingame gamma won't turn up. But as you say, if you can control it outside of the game it could be very helpful.

    Finding a Home.

That's not a home. When I see someone blocking the pub/cafe in town it makes me want to shoot them in the head - and I've never killed anyone but I could when I see that kind of thing. It's selfish and stops other players from using the spawns.

    Finding a Home.

Nice subject. Don't listen to anyone who says you're playing the game wrong. They're eejits. Play the game any way you please. That's why there are so many 11 year olds PvPing. They are not yet able to grasp that there are alternative ways of playing. Lots of people here taking other approaches, join up via one of the chat channels and I agree, maybe a clan or other group might be an interesting change for you. Sounds good for me too, maybe I'll try it. :) People have heard the term "sand-box" but use it even though they don't fully understand it. In essence, it's for you to make up the game in the environment provided. Have fun! You got my beans. :beans:
  8. I decided that as this is probably my third or fourth week of playing, it was time to stop thinking of myself as a noob. Truth is, every time I get sniped (which is often) it hurts. I feel like all the effort of my life has been taken away by some street trash low life, like you read in the papers every day - good person killed for no reason by ignorant, half wit with a gun. And it IS hard to take a deep breath and get back up again but you have to or you're letting them win. And I'm not going to do that! So I decided what projects I wanted to tackle next. I wanted to hunt, cook and eat my own food, and to travel across the map, to carry water bottles and refill them, to find an automatic weapon, and find a deer stand all on my own. I added find antibiotics to that last when I developed a cough last night. :o And this morning I completed my list! I had been travelling across the mid-west to mid-east when I found my first deer-stand. I found an mp5 and one ammo, which I soon learned isn't enough to make it worth carrying the thing. <_< Then I found an AKM, which is Zemalf's favourite weapon, (do you watch his "take it slow" approach to let's play dayz? It's fantastic. I hunted a cow and later a pig, but no bunnies, too small and cute to kill. So my progress ticking off items from my list was going well. But then at Gorka I got into a fight with some dead people who didn't want my sort in their town. So I politely left, leaving behind about half my blood. Thankfully, MikaelM came to my rescue with a blood transfusion, as he so often does. I don't know what we would do without these wonderful medics of ours. I'd developed a cough, and I knew that was a problem because antibiotics are so rare these days. I decided to run through the night and try to make my way to Berezino, to the hospital. I knew I was in trouble as soon as I approached the town - that artifact glitch was spread across the sky. Somehow, tippy-toeing I made my way very slowly to the hospital and then had to waste 2 lots of ammo to get the damn window to break because I'd dumped my empty can, thinking I'd never need it. <_< Box after box of bandages, morphine and epi pens. I'd all but given up when the last box had one antibiotic! :) So I'm in good cheer, no ammo, little food left but no cough driving me nuts - why would a delicate lady like me have a cough like a 60 cigarette a day coal miner? I've been very lucky. I admit, I'm still lonely sometimes. I've contacted a few people on skype but they're either not available at the same times as me or they're just interested in killing. Still, I'm hoping to hear from a few who haven't replied yet. Now if we can just get the hackers under control and tackle the reappearance of the old arma2 artifact glitch, dayz would be almost perfect! Roll on the finished product!

    Anyone else stalk people?

These days I stay away from other players but in first couple of weeks I watched three different players at Elektro. I watched a couple kill each other but the one I remember most fondly was watching a bandit on the roof of the school/office in Elektro. It was night but the moon was up so it was bright. There he was on the lower roof, hand gun out, doing a happy little bandit dance with his gun. Seemed so happy dancing about with his gun. Made me smile. Lucky I don't kill people, so he was perfectly safe.
  10. Sayres, what's your skype name? I have so many people on skype who didn't tell me their forum name, so I have no idea who they are. That sounds like a busy day, Tyler! :beans:

Is there any humanity in DayZ

Sorry to hear that, Unibek. You need to give your friends blood transfusions and kill bandits to get it back up again. Good luck

    Extraordinarily lucky break

None of those guns are easy to find if you never visit deer stands, or military bases. Then it's a lot harder, and the fire station is often bare from previous players.
  13. Riplak, I know there are, I read the threads. All I can do is repeat what I said: I have no trouble finding people to sign up on skype but it's hard to get them together at the same time and to find mature players who are not kiddies who say lol a everything, and want to shoot everyone they see. Zooks, thanks. :beans:

    Extraordinarily lucky break

Stay low, stay dark, keep those goggles on but remember the worse snipers have them and night vision guns too. Keep low pop until you are more experienced. Well done and welcome to dayz. Also, enjoy the stuff while you have it. You will lose it all and many times, if you are lucky. So just enjoy it and don't get too disapointed when you lose it.
  15. Legion, we all get frustrated and getting the game downloaded and updated is a baptism of fire but it's worth it. This game is hard work as a loner but if you make a few pals via one of the chat systems, it gets easier. Do try to stick with it. I spend probably an couple of hours a week downloading crap but iis is worth it. :) If I can help, just ask.

Need Medical Assistance? We can help.

Hi, I asked for help yesterday because I had developed a cough. But earlier today I decided to try to make it to a hospital on my own and got my antibiotics. I visited two other hospitals today and now have a spare antibiotics, couple of bloods, morphine and an epi pen to donate to the Doctor's cause. Please let me know how/where to deliver to, via Message or skype (sulalee01). Thank you to everyone for your help.

Best place to find players camps. (vid)

Great vid. Can't subscribe as can't find link!
  18. Rupert, watched up to 5 so far, all good.
  19. I have tried so hard to copy the web address for your dayz series so I could post a thread about your videos but the paste option is always blanked out. I don't know how you posted a link here but I can't even copy that! :( Anyone know how to do it? In the old days you just copied the link and pasted it.
  20. I see the guy who made it has added the option to return to the server you were last in. I can't tell you how many times I've wished I could remember where I had been playing before. It has so many good features. I can't help but like it. You can choose day or night, you can search by words if you can't remember the number of the server. Have to say, I do like it.
  21. Good for you, Teairra, and in my view no one deserves them more than you, you lovely medic! :beans: It struck me as amsuing, there being so few car types in arma2 - everyone has same cars. Can you imagine the call to the dayz police dept? "Officer, my car's been stolen!", "Calm down M'am and tell me what it looked like", "It looked like everybody else's car!" Heheh :D

Need Medical Assistance? We can help.

Thanks to Boxman for checking on me. As I'm not too well in real life I've called it a night and will apply again tomorrow for help with antibiotics.

    Huge issue over here

That's the oddest thing I've heard in dayz. I can't help you but hopefully someone can.
  24. I got shot in the head last week by some guys with two cars that looked just like that. Shame the number plates aren't unique. Wherever you got them I hope the nasty buggers died.
  25. These last few days I can't use the game's own server list. Someone gave me the address to a server to add in Remote - and now I can't erase it. So when get to the list of servers it's blank and stuck on LAN. I got to the Remote option and delete the IP for the server and click OK. I go back to server list and it's back at LAN. I cllick Internet. Still no servers. I go back in to Remote and there's the IP address again for that damned server. So I can't clear the Remote address. (Anyone have any advice on how to fix that?) So 6 launcher and Dayzcommander are my only options right now. I like both but Commander is more reliable.
