  1. I do a similar lap, mZLY but I exclude Berezino until I a good backpack and weapon, unless I need antibiotics. I find it impossible to get through Berezino with enough blood to stop me from fainting repeatedly. <_<

    Day Z Greenhorn's Gab!

Welcome to Dayz. We have hundreds of threads likes yours with guides and such, so why not search through them for additional advice and tips?

    Random mountain dew

I've found two mountain dews, one just two days ago on a private hive. The odd coincidence is that both cans I've found were on different hives and both were in the apartment blocks in Cherno.
  4. Hi ILB. I agree with Rage VG. Whaddaya mean "only" M14 AIMs and FN Fals? That's as good as it gets. I love both those guns.
  5. I'm not sure about this. You've only 3 posts, how much can you share about DayZ that's "helpful" yet? Also, not sure why the blog when the forum is here. Of course, it's your blog to do with as you please.

    Please don't implement passing stool

What about visiting a doctor - examinations? Dying from cancer, old age and things other than bullets and zombies? What about sex? What's off the list of things for potential inclusion, I wonder? And if realism is important, I've never drunk an entire waterbottle in one go, nor have I waded into water up to my nipples to refill it!

    an install question

Hi, you don't need the full arma2, I think. You need Arma2's Operation Arrowhead and a copy of the free mod called DayZ. I bought Combined Ops which is Arma2 plus Operation Arrowhead, which of course is also good to use with the DayZ mod. Does that help? Ask you if you need more info.

Pressing the "-" key on the Num pad

The one I've always had problems with is toggling between running and walking or walking and sneaking. I cannot get it to stick to my right shift key. Not sure why but it's frustrating.

    Playing ArmAII OA without DayZ...

Once I had installed dayz I could never get Operation Arrowhead to work on it's own without first going into steam, right clicking Operation Arrowhead, clicking Properties then clicking Set Launch Options and cutting the contents then pasting it into text file (just so I don't lose it). Then I save it with nothing inthe Set Launch Option box and run OA. I like to play in OAs Armory and drive the limo SUV round chernarus. Of course, to play dayz you have to remember to put the cut text back in the Set Launch Options box.

    DayZ This is MY story

Welcome to Dayz! That's how I bought mine, real fast, as soon as I'd seen youtube footage of others player it.

I cannot pay for Arma II

Edited - as no longer made sense. If I ever did. :)

    FPS Drops Advice

I'd be interested in hearing how it works for you, as I don't use those settings. I had similar problem to you and high end kit like you.

    Too Late to Start?

No, of course it isn't too late! Welcome to the Dayz forums, Ireleaf. You have the free mod, Dayz and you have Arma2 and both of those will provide you with endless hours of fun, fear, challenges, frustrations and laughs! :beans: Read the sticky threads for information and advice, and ask if you have any questions. There are some really friendly and helpful members who will answer your queries. :) Oh and I suggest you download Dayzcommander as it will make finding servers to play on quick and easy. Arma2 has tutorials and I still play them. They're great. Plus there are scenarios too, which I really enjoy as you fight against the computer in realistic scenarios.

New Bambi, with a dinosaur computer

Reklin, interesting to see you write that. There is no gun big enough to stick in my face and threaten me that would make me buy a plug from PC world let alone a computer! My view is "Never buy computers from high street stores!" They're a rip off.

New Bambi, with a dinosaur computer

The "bambi crap" comes from a genuine sense of fondness, concern, and friendliness toward inexperienced and new players. It's been around a long time but as people have said, this generation knows it from Frankie, I think.
  16. Rage VG, that is one magnificent video.
  17. I agree. I play arma2 when I feel like experimenting or playing single player. I love the helicopters and planes and how easy it is to add things to maps of your own in the editor.
  18. ... just seen it sitting out side the flats in the south west of cherno on EDITED OUT. Just wanted to let bambis know in case you were interested. All it needs is fuel, all the rest is green! 2 days this helicopter has sat there with no players finding it. If could have found a jerry can I'd have taken it myself. So I've edited it the server name.
  19. I went back for that helicopter, as it had been sitting in the road for 2 days - two days! I came running round the corner with my 3 jerry cans only to find an empty street. *cries and sobs loudly* Fraggle, the ponies are super-cute but rainbows out of your eyes? That IS terrifying! :o
  20. By the way, Derpy, what's a brony and is it related to the cutesy avatar image? I think I've seen some of those before. *is a bit scared*
  21. Very similar to most days I play dayz. You have my sympathy, friend! :beans:
  22. Well, like I said - no fuel in it and couldn't find a jerry can, sadly. Edit: I'm sure it's long gone now. Grover, I'm sorry, mate, I tried to edit my post and add the above sentence but I typed it in your post by mistake! I've removed it and added it to mine. My apologies for the error, I'm a newbie mod of one day, and the buttons are in a slightly different place.
  23. Doc Wasteland's team are the ONLY medics team, in my view. They're utterly reliable and trustworthy. So, you're going to have to prove you can reach their levels of skills and maturity. Good luck if you go ahead with your ideas. I'm sure it's rewarding. :)
  24. Hmm well, no not entirely trouble-free. For example, if the admin is say a 16 years old selfish, irresponsible bully who kills people just because he enjoys the power, to whom do they complain or appeal for help? There not being anyone to report it to is definitely "trouble", in my book. However, I do agree that private hives are great for avoiding hackers. I play on them mainly, though as I say, there are risks.
  25. I can't believe it's so hard to give away a fully functioning undamaged helicopter! The world's gone mad! :o
