OK, keep the tone civil guys. Honestly, some of you are so full of rage about the littlest issues. I've never killed a single player while playing DayZ since July 2012 but I don't hate anyone just because they're a bandit. Life's too short for all that anger. As long as people are having fun that's what counts. :thumbsup:

If you have a vehicle or tent then the contents will stay there just as long as you use the tent or vehicle (unless someone destroys or steals them). If you don't access a tent for about a week it used to disappear from map but I'm not sure what happens now. As long as you are alive the stuff in your backpack stays there and same with your inventory. :)

Note: Whitelisting is something done by private hives and it's done individually. So you can't just become whitelisted for all servers, as they're separate hives of servers. So if you try to enter a server and it says "not whitelisted" and you can't see where to join then take a look at the name of the server. There are usually clues in the name of the server. Take the name, say it was something like TheKillers dayz server, and do a search on TheKillers and dayz, which should take you to their forums so you can get whitelisted. Good luck. :)

I play with fps of 10-15 routinely with no problems. I agree that it might be your settings are too high. If you're happy with what you see and how you move in game then don't worry about fps. :)

Are you using DayZ Commander? You should check it out if you've not yet got it. I find lots of servers that are UK based and EU too, and they all provide good pings. I've a friend who plays DayZ from Ireland and he does have some problems with his connection being a little volatile but he does still manage to play. Among others I play at Mustygaming and BalotaBuddies, both have EU servers. Good luck. :)

Yes, it's possible. Remember your aim isn't always perfect when under attack and in my experience the game laughs at me behind my back. So it's quite possible it decided to let them live just to spite you. Listen! I can hear DayZ laughing and sniggering at me right now! *is crazy loony*

Musty gaming and Balota Buddies both have great server in the US and EU. Musty's EU is on 146.185.20.210:3000 The map is Chernarus but it's bespoke, lots of new barracks, buildings, AIs etc. They have others too like Epoch etc. Balota's EU is on 159.253.149.39:3306 The map is Overwatch, I think. Well that's what DayZ Commander is now showing as the map. I don't know anything about Overwatch but it seems popular. They too have other servers. Good luck. :)

Another vote for BB. I used to be an admin on Balota Buddies. It's very popular in Australia.

I'd say there are very few high grade weapons or sufficient ammo (hold on to it if you find some). Also, zombies are more sensitive to noise and can see you from stupidly far away. Infection is rampant. You will be lucky to get up the beach without dying on some days. Give up any ideas of building a camp and storing weapons and food etc. Not so easy any more. I spent two days just looking for a backpack on one server (they'd removed them so you didn't spawn with one anymore).

Yes, what exactly have you downloaded/bought/running? Be precise to speed up a helpful reply. Have you made sure you have the latest batches for arma2 and dayzmod? How are you choosing servers to join? Note: I am finding a lot of servers say they have the latest patches but when you join you're a bird - that's because they have the previous dayz update but have told server they're using latest, apparently.

You can bite the bullet and keep on playing but don't argue with him. Just keep saying you know that you always play fair and don't ever cheat - then never reply to anything else. You could also help others a lot so they can see you are a fair player. Best of luck. :thumbsup:

Not sure where you're looking, Goofy. I see plenty of UK servers with 49/50 and 60/60 players. There are lots of popular ones. Maybe it's your settings?

On the contrary Morgan, you might have been that lucky but most of us suffered. It took me 2 months to get it to run. One day, it just decided to work. Never found out why. Best of luck mate, let us know if you've any problems, like Fraggle said. :thumbsup:

Personally, my advice would be ignore all mods except the original DayZ, as they're boring and you'll soon lose interest. Also, use DayZ Commander to find the lowest pings to make it easier to play. :thumbsup:

Hi Dools. You've got 2 games, sort of. Sounds like you're playing Arma 2, which is great fun once you know what you're doing. Personally, I'd suggest trying the first scenario-I think someone above said it's called Bootcamp. It shows you how to fire the gun, how to aim, how to drag bodies, how to drive, how to do lots of stuff, and there's another to show you how to fly helicopters and so on - there are lots but the first is best. It also shows you all the skills you need for the DayZ mod which is based on the same game. However, to play the mod called DayZ, you need to have downloaded it and installed something to run it via - many use DayZ Commander, it's free and easy to use. Start there and ask questions once you've done that. :thumbsup:

I don't play via steam because it always crashes or goes wrong. I always play via dayz commander. It's great for all dayz related stuff like updating patches.

If you have your gun in your hand and you want to put it into your backpack you MUST have ten empty spaces in your backpack, not your inventory but your backpack. If you don't have ten free spaces then you can't take out and use your hatchet while carrying a primary weapon. To drop your empty weapon click on the weapon and drag it to the left in your menu, which will make it fall to the ground. Or click the "drop" button. You will then be able to right click on your hatchet and choose "use hatchet". :thumbsup:

We've got AIs on our Balota Buddies UK/EU server and they are deadly. I can't cope. I'm a lousy shot and these AIs kill me about once every 10-15 minutes or every time I run more than 500 meters! I admit it, I don't have the blood lust or abilities to run down these AIs. They've got big guns and scopes and endless ammo! Odd - am I the only one who's Enter keys aren't working? I'm having to type all this without a space. *cries into hands* Any tips on either problem? I can't even see the AIs let alone shoot at them, and now I can't even find a gun before they kill me. *cries some more* :huh:
