How did your most recent character die?
tufting replied to chris p. bacon's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
My last 2 recent deaths have been while in forest areas by snipers :/ -
Hello. Today I had an awesome DayZ experience, so I decided I'd make a recording of it while playing. Fraps is the only actual recording software I have, but I realised it only takes 30 second videos unless you pay for a better version- bit crap. I have Xfire and the recordings are pretty good and you can upload them to the website. So I was wondering is there a way to get xfire working on DayZ? For some reason the Xfire in-game doesn't work or detected ArmA2 while playing DayZ so I can't use in-game chat or record videos. If there is no way Xfire can work... Would anyone recommend a good, free recording program I could use?

HELP!!! New Computer- would it run ArmA:3?
tufting replied to tufting's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I heard somewhere that ArmA:3 is only compatible with Windows 7 and Vista. Getting my new one on W7 just to make sure. I was wondering the same thing before I decided to get a new one. -

HELP!!! New Computer- would it run ArmA:3?
tufting replied to tufting's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Ok. Thanks all for your answers. I've decided to use websites where I can put together what I want and see how much it costs. Offers a lot of flexibility and going to try multiple websites to see what any cost difference is. Going to have to spend more money that I thought I would, should be worth it though. Thanks again everyone :) -

HELP!!! New Computer- would it run ArmA:3?
tufting replied to tufting's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Well seeing as ArmA:3 seems a seriously demanding game, I'd guess any PC that could atleast run it should be considered atleast Good. -
HELP!!! New Computer- would it run ArmA:3?
tufting replied to tufting's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Hmm. Do you think it would atleast meet the minimum requirements? I don't really fancy spending too much more on a new PC, as long as ArmA3 would run I'd be fine. -
HELP!!! New Computer- would it run ArmA:3?
tufting replied to tufting's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Did the test on the computer I have now. Says the minimum RAM needed is 2GB. 4GB and I think the rest should be alright. I was mainly concerned about the CPU as I'm not really sure how to compare them :P Thank you for your answer -

Hi, I am seriously really excited for the standalone- whenever its going to come out. But I hear its probably going to be using the ArmA:3 engine. So I assume the system requirements will be the same as the ArmA:3 game. This being the case, I've read that it can take a serious toll on our PC's. I, probably like many others, are slightly concerned about if I'll be able to run this game. I consider my PC to be relatively good- I can run most of my games on high graphics, in high resolution. Often I use the "Can you run it?" website to see if my computer can run games before I buy them, but over time I've realised its sometimes inaccurate for me as it's said I can't run games that I can play. :P If ArmA:3's engine is seriously demanding then it could see so many players lose out, even the Alpha right now has some serious FPS issues. To be honest, I'm probably just being paranoid that it won't run, but it's going to be a real disappointment if it doesn't :/ :beans: :beans: :beans: Beans.

Hi, I update DayZ usually by using this website: http://se1.dayz.nu/l...

Usually there is a list of 7 rar files But with this update there is only this DayZ-1.7.2.5.rar file. That is apparantly is going to take 3 hours? Surely that can't be right for some fixes? EDIT In DayZ commander if I detect versions it says: Filenames dont match expected. Your version: 1.7.2.4 Slightly confused :P

The Current State Of Zombies.

I think the aggro range is too far, but it's pretty easy to deal with them even without a weapon... just ruuuuun!!!
