Proximity Voice Fix.

What? Global channels are already disabled in DayZ since 1.7.1, and Direct Communication channel (proximity, voice 80 meters, text 40 meters) has been fixed and fully working since ArmA 2 Beta build 93040. Info and discussion about voice and text chat here: Voice & Text Communication -

In the real world' date=' 90% of the population is not kill-on-sight type murdering psychopaths, so it wouldn't be so dangerous for other survivors to see you. It might actually be beneficial as you could team up and face the zombie threat together. But this is a bug that was fixed. E.g. this won't be happening in the future versions (and thus not a reason to have starting waterbottle). -

I think it's nice to not have canteen when you start. It makes it much more exciting to actually find one. Drinking directly from sources is a nice idea, suggested already here: http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=15270 -

These server difficulty levels mean absolutely nothing, because server admin can change individual difficulty settings of each of the levels. Here are the default levels: http://wiki.zspecialunit.org/index.php?title=ArmA_2_Server_Difficulty_Settings However, since server admin can turn individual settings on and off, regular can be exactly same as expert, etc.

1.7.2 has not yet been released. Latest version is 1.7.1.2. ArmA 2 Beta patch has been a requirement for DayZ since 1.7.1. If you are spawning invisible, you are not using beta patch. You could had found all this info with the search function.

Side channel is removed from DayZ since 1.7.1 Incorrect. The global channels are removed in the DayZ mission file' date=' and only way they can enable/disable specific channels is to go and start modifying the default DayZ mission which is not allowed afaik. This happens if you try to play DayZ 1.7.0 or newer without the running the ArmA 2 Beta patch. Since 1.7.0, DayZ requires ArmA 2 beta patch to work properly. From changelog: * Requires ArmA2 Beta.
