Many thanks for a safe and reliable trade. Happy to become repeat customer. :beans:

I am currently in the market for an Mk48 Mod 0, or even a couple thereof, to defend myself and my ambulance with. I can offer a variety of goodies in return, if there is anything you urgently require, me and my friends have been having a lot of fun sneaking into various hot spots and cruising for heli crashes of late while not on duty patching people up.

PMed you my offer. :)

Need Medical Assistance? We can help.
sya replied to Dr Wasteland MD's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Post your approximate location -do not post server name ever! - , that way, it will be way easier to find who can get to you best. -
Response times in the medic thread may indeed vary depending on the location, nature and urgency of your emergency, but generally, they are a matter of minutes, though occasionally hours after first post because people will not check their PMs in the forum or do not simply contact the nearest available medic on Steam. Check the thread below!

Mobile and available again, and once more happy to rush to the aid of those who cannot rescue themselves. Operating in the right half of the map if you draw the divide from Kamenka to Berezino. -

Stary Sobor mission report addendum: Thank you everybody involved for quickly getting this spontaneous crew together for a high stakes mission against the clock! The Green Wookies have been applauded before, but let's not stop doing that anytime soon, given how they have decided to go above and beyond the call of duty and neighbourhood generosity. Long may they reign over their square of the leafy wilderness! :) Excellent work by Tamshan, bandaging the seemingly lifeless body while we were still checking the other tents to make sure, and then it was just a quick two-man patchup with blood and morphine and painkillers. Well done, happy to share a field surgery tent with you anytime! Many thanks equally go out to "the bodyguard" Zaebos, whom Soulshaper2 had lent us for the mission. I understand he is eagerly looking for employment in similar situations, so if anybody needs a professional bodyguard/overwatch/anti-sniper, give him a call. 2 more souls have since been retrieved from Komarovo, while one more, a repeat customer, failed to make rendezvous, and the ambulance took some serious damage trying to get her out of Cherno, which she'd just left, and then gotten away from, and then gotten back to and lost in again. After that, a race against the clock again to pick up my usual bodyguard, known throughout these lands as The Terror, and now it's back to base, until the next shift, when duty shall call again! This is Sya, signing off. Stay safe out the...... ... *cough* Hello? Anyone ... still.. . hearing this? I'm not sure what happened. After weeks of doing all my own driving, of being near savaged by the marauding hordes of the undead, after coming under fire countless times, after losing my precious AmBlueLance™ and having it restored to me just today, I finally let my regular bodyguard do the driving while I sat in the back, hunched over my notepad, transmitting my after action report. The next thing I knew, the world turned upside down, then bright and hot, then black. My watch tells me I have been unconscious for a full 5 minutes if not more. The ground underneath me is covered in blood, which, if the faintness and blurry monochrome vision are any indicators, is mostly my own. Where my bodyguard is who was driving me back to base, I do not know. I try to call, but all that comes out is a croak. There is a jagged metal shard of some kind stuck in my leg, which I cannot feel at all. There is only numbness, while the taste of iron on my tongue gets supplanted by the smell of gasoline, and the rest of my body's nervous system screams for attention as it gets hotter, and brighter. I pull with desperation and tear loose my leg, and now I finally came to and barely managed to crawl out of mangled wreck that, all things considered, cannot really be other than my beloved AmBlueLance™. This... this is goodbye then, my precious! Oh the tales we have racked up to tell in these last weeks! No time to reminisce, I crawl away, desperately croaking for my bodyguard, but he isn't responding, and the flames start enveloping all that's left of the car. I drag myself clear, and away. The world shrinks down to just the grass in my face and the next handful of dirt I claw at to drag myself forward. I do not know how long this goes on. Though every instinct screams at me to try to save my friend, I know it is hopeless, and all I want to do is collapse, and give up, but something deep within me refuses to give in. Forward I drag myself, ever forward. Until at last, a world away and an eternity later, my groping hand grabs canvas. Confused, I grope around some more, and find a small heap of animal bones, the testament to the barbecue our small group shared before setting out on that last mission. Their faces flash in front of me, memories burning bright, moments from earlier, grim resolution, adversity and triumphs, moments of laughter, small reliefs shared, the comradeship that some days is all that keeps one going in this world gone to ashes... ashes..... It is now an unspecifiable amount of time later. I sit propped up against a fir tree, the contents of my emergency med kit lying spread out all over and around me. Bandages cover half of what I can see of my body, my leg is in a splint, empty syringes lying in my lap. I blink at them in failed recognition. I am at my camp, propped up against a fir tree, next to the cold fireplace in front of my tent. What am I doing here? What happened to mess this place up that much? Why is there an unrecognisable, charred, mangled metal husk about 150m down from our camp site? Recognition and recollection finally sink in. I am alive. And I bow my head, and weep. -

Rest of this via PM, steam and TS3 please, let's keep posting to a minimum to not disrupt other tickets too much. :) -

Nesta, depending on the situations of your logging out, you may well spawn in unconscious, and stay unconscious way longer than it will take for you to bleed out. For this I'd suggest a full medical response team, I don't currently have the manpower available for that, any fellow medics here want to jump into the ambulance and try to race to this guy against the clock? Need at least 3 to try this, the server where my ambulance is currently has quite a low population. -

Dear prospective patients: Please hit refresh every once in a while and check for bright red notifications on the envelope icon in the top right corner, as medics offering to rush to your aid might already be trying to contact you for a speedy resolution. :) -

Sorry to hear, Moktor, if you need help getting set up again, give me a shout! X0pk1n was one of a couple of people I have recently refused to lend assistance to, their requests being either downright absurd, childishly selfish and entitled, and generally not medical emergencies at all. -
Oy, I saw him first! He just never replied to my PM... :(

Sent you a PM a while ago, stating that I am within reach of your location and could offer assistance, however I am unable to follow up on that if you don't respond to your PM on the forum or Steam. If you get back to me soon, I can still work it into my route, but you'd have to hurry please. -

Big thanks to the [Green Wookies] who got in touch with me today and asked whether the vehicle they recently liberated from what they took to be a bandit camp may in fact have been my ambulance, and offering to return it. I am now mobile once more and happy to rush to the rescue of people who cannot rescue themselves. Starting with Teach. :) -
I could offer M107, AS50, m249, and a ghillie. In the market for an MK48 mod 0 and ammo ( had mine stashed in my tractor while muling stuff over, was away for half an hour, had the tractor stolen, with that and my other most prized possessions aboard. Don't go afk/log before completing your mission!).
-
Got two of those lying around, nobody ever wants to trade for them in my experience. Or at least I haven't found any groups yet that do night ops chiefly. Guess I'll have to create my own. :)

This guy loves the picture I stole for my profile so much he also steals it, AND he finds a chopper, when all I have is an AmBlueLance ? Guess I'll have to grudgingly give you my :beans: Well done, sir, keep up the good work! B) -
I don't have any negative karma. I didn't deserve this.

Bad people will do bad things. It's a shame! Good people will do good things. It's great! And then there's heavily armed freelance combat medics, who might accidentally drive you over when you jump right in front of their ambulance making 87kmh to save somebody three blocks down from you for applied for help following proper procedure. Or servers that get hacked and cost you your ambulance, stashes, supply network, and make you migrate, emptyhanded, and lone wolf it until you find a tractor and are almost back in business. What does that imply? Shit happens, sorry to hear. Make it part of your story. If you're enjoying yourself still, continue doing so and have fun. If you aren't, take a break. Here, have a can of pepsi and a can of sardines. -
Please don't create multiple topics to ask the same question, when all you could do is leave a post in the "Need Medical Assistance? We can help" thread, link in sig.
-
Apply for aid in the medic thread, link below. Or you can of course crawl around the woods and open fields, near blind as you are, and hunt enough animals and cook their meat to heal you up to appropriate levels. That's what a lot of people do, and proudly incorporate it into their current DayZ story. Really depends on your circumstances. But there are quite a few people, myself included, who will happily travel and put our own virtual lives on the line to come patch you up if feasible. Give us a shout:

If you spawn and die right away you should ...
sya replied to JulieMeyers's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
So all the people who log in for the first time, spawn near Cherno or Electro, and take a bullet to the face the moment they hear the surf, will keep doing so ad infinitum, and bandits will eventually tire of it because they will run out of ammo after killing the same player 20-600 times, not having any way to replenish their supplies via exploits or any other way, and that will put an end to the griefing and everybody will enjoy themselves so much more?
