Respawning next to your body after being killed is a bug that happens occasionly. (afaik) In my experience i spawned 50 odd meters away from my killer... Instead of running away with nvgs etc that i had recently looted from a bandit, i hesitated. He promptly turned in my direction and shot me... Again...

Its kinda funny how people cry about being sniped after running/shooting/looting their way through a town in a game where patience and planning hold so much weight. This is a mod for a mil sim after all. If your enemy can't see you. He can't kill you. I'm guilty of it myself. You really do need to search and scout ahead/behind at all times to survive. -
Well at least your only 3 months. Imagine if you spent 6 months with all that fairly common gear and they wiped the database when the game goes into beta/live... I agree hackers are a scurge but your reaction to the loss is a tad overreactive.

Just found an ak cobra and a dmr with 3 mags in a fire station. Put the dmr in my assult pack... Run to the store, see an alice pack. Rejoice. Shots fired. Shit myself. Take alice pack. Lose assult pack and the dmr. More shots fired... Cower in a corner

No i didnt alt f4. The dude outside didnt know i was there. Shootin at zeds i think. I proned in a corner for a bit. Checked the exits and ran full tilt to the firestation yard. No one shot at me so i logged. It should be noted that the next server i went to had a cow in the field. I got shot in the back while shooting the cows buggy head...

Good in theory i guess. Kinda scary to imagine it going to those levels. From my experience the only way to get better at shooting a gun... Is to fire it... Alot. I kinda like firing my gun in dayz. Your proposal would mean alot less of that. I've decided i don't like it now :P -
I haven't watched the video but i got killed today and respawned in the same spot with all my gear. its a bug i think. This guy obviously does it multiple times o take it?

Well im kinda bummed that i can't report with all the info i need. I killed a bandit on a moto at 6pm aest on one Of the nz servers. This guy had the lot. L85,nvg,range finder,gps and a coyote pack I get popped in the head shortly afterwards and respawn with all my gear next to him only yo be shot again... Respawn on the coast and a dude in a boat speeds past and picks me up. They then take me way northand one of the dudes starts giving me some speech... 2 mins later a truck appears full of gear... I ask them wtf the point of hacking is. Get shot in the face. Anyway they were 3 mates. I'm sour i don't have all the info to pin point em

Nvm i mis understood that. Yeh i was pretty sour as i stalked the guy with the moto for a few mins before i shot him with my as550 i'd looted of a corpse in stary. Pretty sure the guys in the boat were the same cats. If not there are alot of hackers lol

This kind of happened to me. I logged out last night after clenching my butt all through NW airfield and stary etc, only to log on today and be back on the coast with nothing. I tried a few different servers and got the smae deal. So, i hit respawn thinking well i was gonna lose all that gear as soon as i came close to cherno anyway and low and behold i respawn in the middle of the map with all my gear again lol. WINNING... until i get to sniper hill that is O.o

Full reset shoulda been done for this update imo. Can't wait to get on and play again!!

I had my akm with ammo in my backpack replaced with medical supplies. It must be a syncing issue as the dead guy i looted the backpack off had three pens 3 blood bags and the rest bandages and thats what was in there when i logged in again.

EVE is also what? 10 years old? has a team of devs working on it, and is probably the greatest sandbox ever made. Sounds like an awesome basis for comparison O.o...
