Didn't know that setting shadows to high made a performance boost, thanks! Also, for the best FPS what should "Video Memory" be at?

Okay let's get straight to the point. When I join 1.60 (Arma 2 version) servers they work, but when I join any of the beta patches it doesn't work. Yes the mod is installed properly, yes I installed the beta patch properly, and yes I have the right launch options on it ( -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=@dayz -nosplash -winxp -maxmem=2047 -cpuCount=4) I used the DayZ mod installer just in case, but no luck. I'm a Steam user and went through this guy's tutorial. (http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=10370) It doesn't kick me out because of a different version, because that is not the problem, the problem is that whenever I login to beta servers it says this while trying to spawn: You cannot play/edit this mission, it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.dayz_code, dayz_weapons, dayz_equip etc.

EXACTLY what I did, and it still doesn't load DayZ I'll try removing -winxp EDIT: Removing -winxp improved my FPS, but still not loading DayZ....

But it works forthe 1.6.0 patch' date=' but not the beta patch.. I'm going to do it now and see if it works. [hr'] No luck, I downloaded it off the website and still nothing.

Me too, and I'm on a 32-bit. Since 1.6 I've only been laggy when around other players.

When I'm by myself I get 30+ FPS on High, but as soon as I'm close to a player it drops to 5-10. I really want to get back with my group but it's unplayable!

I have a huge FPS drop when I play DayZ in general. It gets really bad when I'm near players and it pisses me off. Because I bought the game for the mod and now it runs horribly.

I only know 2 answers that I'm 100% sure, because I don't want to give you a wrong answer :P 5. Anything you can find, depends on what your doing. I like a sniper the best, and I think it's the best if your a bandit. 6. They revive downed teamates. So if your with a group their always useful.

Same thing happened to me, wasn't to bad though. Found 2 dead survivors with shit lot of loot.

I would rather have fewer zombies. Players scare me more than zombies no matter how many zombies there is. Worrying about PvP is fun, and not having to avoid cities completely because of the mass hordes is a good thing too.

Performance, I think that reason alone is good enough to make a change it the future. I think the rate of zombies could've been bumped a little bit, but I personally don't like it being so high. 1. Being the FPS drop. 2. 200 zombies to 400.

Same thing happened to me. I had an AK in my primary, and I stored a Kobra I found in my backback, then I go to switch weapons and they both disappear.

I bought this game 100% for this mod! But I downloaded the demo of Arma to make sure I could run the game first :P
