    Stop Crying.

Nope. The most interesting part, and the most challenging, is shooting endless streams of unarmed players with military spec gear. /s

    The problem with modern gaming

..and modern games and the modern gaming industry.
  3. sixbarns

KOS will always be a "problem" and this is why

You're hanging around Cherno. So, who cares. Elektro and Cherno are shoot on sight locations. There is no reason to ever go there with dreams of making friends. But you guys should leave that mentality at the city limits. See, this is the problem with some of you guys. You can't imagine the game outside of those locations and seem to think this game is really just another deathmatch game but with a really big map. Playing this game like any other shooter is fine but don't moan when people bitch about getting mowed down by a guy with an AS50 when they had nothing at all. Too many unarmed noobs are getting killed by geared up assholes thinking they're playing CoD. That's the problem. Half of you murderers wouldn't bother playing this game if these encounters were level.

    DogZ!

Still waiting to find out how many steaks we get from them.

Finally geared up - What to do?

Or just plop down some suicide safety barbwire.

    1 ducking quit....

I agree with OP. THE ZOMBIES NEED TO BE MUCH MORE ANNOYING! ME ANGRY!

Finally geared up - What to do?

Setup a camp. Fill tent(s) with guns and gear. Get with a friend. Now move to high traffic locations. Setup bait tents, barbwire, or sandbags (I haven't seen the bags in game though) to use as traps or defenses. Murder people. or Go to pvp hotspots and snipe bandits. or Get on reddit and answer distress calls from other players. or Build defenses around a town. Defend it against both players and zombies. or Find cars and other camps, take what you want. or Collect every car or start a marina. or Test the limitations of the game and new features. or PvP in Cherno or Elektro or Explore the map. or Collect all the gear. or Find a bike and jump off cliffs. or See how long you can live without a backpack. or Skydive from a helicopter. or Kill yourself and start over. Every life will be completely different. or Do whatever makes you happy.
  8. Considering this game isn't a FPS, yes, third person is important and many people prefer to play with that view. I'd personally like the option to turn off first person view just to annoy those that wish to annoy others. 3rd person ON, crosshairs OFF, Veteran, is how I prefer to play. But that's easy mode. Anyone playing with head bobbing off or even turned down is obviously a terrible player that isn't confident in their skillz. Same goes for anyone who can't run the game at it's highest settings. Any setting under high is overpowered and these players should be banned. (sarcasm not entirely directed at you) That's a good way to gut the player base. If you can't figure out how to use third person then don't hate on those that can. I'd rather not experience this game with an enormous set of blinders on my head.

    The carebears BECAME the hackers

Quality troll thread bro. It's nice to see the mass murderers finally posting something other than whiny bandit skin complaint threads. I guess you guys DO have some creativity after all.
  10. No. I think they're a no skill weapon but they shouldn't be removed. Duping should get fixed. That'll solve a lot of the problem. Hopefully the standalone will solve most of what's left of the problem after that.

    Completely unplayable

Unplayable? I played for 4 hours straight last night and only ran into one hacker. I played a couple hours this morning and had a blast. No hackers. Nothing. I guess it's just luck? Sounds like those servers have some shitty admins.

Why the Hero skin is useless

Proof that bandits only want cheap kills and they have no skill.

Gave me warning for writing "k."

This thread is going to go places.

    Dayz = PvP

Shooting on sight at a guy with nothing still takes no skill. Even if he has a weapon, do you guys take in account what direction he's heading in and watch to see if he's grouped? I understand this scenario, especially when you're grouped up with friends. Getting killed by some guy and then trying to make the hike back to your buddies is pretty annoying and it's much easier to blast someone than take the chance. This is definitely different from the majority of PvP taking place in this game. Even then, restricting yourself to an enfield and shooting unarmed or ungeared players is pretty lame. Not as bad as my first example though. At least your targets have a chance to get equally geared.

    "Balancing" Survivors and Bandits

Sounds like a free trip to the coast with gear in hand for would be bandits.

    Dayz = PvP

I believe his point was something similar to "hey guys, there's more than one way to play this game. Quit trying to force your style onto the rest of us." At least that's what I got. Some of you PvP guys forget about the other 90% of the map and fail to imagine anything other than shooting at each on in the big cities. That's cool and all but you'd hate it if Cherno and Elektro were maps in any other shooter where players could pick their weapons at the start of the match. The maps are terrible for pvp and there is zero balance to their designs. Instead, you guys PvP with the best guns and then shoot mostly unarmed or poorly armed players. How is killing a player with nothing, just a hatchet, or an enfield even considered a challenge when you're in a ghillie, on a hill, with an AS50? Dumping a whole AKM mag into a guy that's 10 meters away and only has a shotgun while in a wide open street takes tons of skill.. Talk about accomplishments.. Most of you guys are too scared to even wear your shame in game.

hacking + war z connection conspiracy

You need to look deeper than that. DayZ, WarZ, and World War Z are all part of a plot of the Zilluminati.
  18. It's in the "debug monitor" and we're meant to be testing the game. It more than likely wont be in the full game. Having these stats available is pretty useful when testing changes out and being able to accurately report bugs.

What do i need to upgrade?

My cpu is weaker than yours but I run the game fine. You need a better graphics card.

    Vehicle and Tent Saving

It works for me. Are you sure people are not coming along and stealing your gear and then saving your tent when it's empty?
  21. The background color is black as well.

    TEAM rocket, Are you there?

I heard Rocket started a Cricket team. Is this what you meant OP?
  23. Obviously this system is simple. No disrespect to anyone who works on it but it's the simplest form I can think of but it's still a vast improvement over what we had. All the bandits I know hate the new patch because they don't like the idea of other players knowing they're mass murderers. They'd rather not meet any resistance when approaching unsuspecting players. They'd rather bandit hunters have no way to identify them through their scopes and therefore face zero resistance when sniping, camping, or hunting in Elektro or Cherno. They'd rather play the game like a traditional shooter with serious balancing issues than have the tables turned and become hunted themselves. Do these murderers actually choose this style of gameplay or is it just some type of Pavlovian conditioning they've picked up after playing endless hours of uninspired shooters? Who can say. I just know the game has more to offer than gunning down the weak again and again. Either way, they all seem to have some weak reason for disliking this change but it almost always boils down to them losing the advantage they have over other players. They don't want other players scanning the horizon with sniper rifles and only shooting the bandits they see. I've heard murderers say "that isn't fair" even though that's exactly what they do again and again with zero discrimination of who they shoot. These murderers are only out for kills, the cheaper the better. If this wasn't the case then we wouldn't be seeing people attempting to find workarounds or trying to find ways to boost their humanity to neutral or hero status just for cheap kills. Is the current system perfect? No. Does it need more work? Sure does. Are there currently work arounds? Definitely, like all systems. Do the benefits outweigh the negatives? Definitely. Imagine Elektro controlled by heroes. Noobs and wannabe bandits could shop in peace while bandit groups plot to take it back. Control of areas would shift constantly and bandits would actually have competition. Actual PVP would take place rather than the current bloodbath of imbalance. Of course the bandits hate this.. I think the current system should evolve to include multiple tiers of positive and negative humanity. Each level could have an equivalent skin/item for their chosen style. A medic doesn't necessarily have to be a good guy as groups of bandits heal each other too, so positive humanity needs to earned in different ways. This seems like the first real hurdle in the humanity system. (bandit medic skin suggestion: a butcher :) ) Same goes for hunters, survivalists (animal skin covered mountain men/women) settlers, zombie slayers, or any other style we could think of. Most modern shooters can track where you play, kill, die, what part of the body you hit, etc. I can't imagine the ArmA engine is somehow lacking in this. Building a system that uses this data effectively is the trick and just because it's not currently in your debug montior doesn't mean it can't be tracked. This system has a ways to go. Right now, it's doing what it should be. Balancing the bloodbath the murderers have created while making them as easily hunted as their prey while giving new and neutral players a visual key that aids in making accurate judgements about other players. It's not a punishment or even a cure. It's a treatment.

Hero Skin -- Taking Less Damage?

Don't play a game in it's earliest stages of development if you can't put up with bugs.
