i was in the NW airfield barracks a guy comes barging in so i kill him i check his body hes got awesome gear like NV's and an m107. then i get the "no message received" and i leave the server. my friend who was also in the server had the same thing and on sixlauncher the server was label with 0/40, ping 9999, no mission, island, mode or state. Could he have possibly just shut down the server because he died. His name was rx.

How do i know when a server restarts? How long does a typical restart take? And generally how often do admins restart their servers?

It all starts when i try to find a server cause the one i was on stopped working. sixlauncher told me there was an update so i installed that. Afterward i kept getting the wait for host thing and when i finally got into a server i was in debug plains. So i left that server and got wait for host a few more times then when i got in again i ended up somewhere in novy sobor. when i left the 1st server i was nowhere near novy sobor. so then i logged back into a server that my firend connected to and i was back in novy sobor underground........ My 1st attempt to move outside ended with me breaking my legs and dying

so do i need a toolbox to fix a car cause i put on a tire without having a toolbox or is it needed for other parts of the car.

So my friend just bought Arma 2 yesterday off of steam, he downloaded the newest beta patch and is trying to use sixlauncher to start up dayz but each time he loads he gets stuck on a "waiting for host screen" at or before the multiplayer setup/lobby screen. We have tried a bunch of ways (on and off the dayz forums) to fix it but none seem to work. Right now he is currently re installing arma 2 combined ops but that wont finish for another hour or two. Any suggestions or fixes for this problem.

So me and my friend were looking for a server and in the lobby there were survivors listed as AI. We never got into the server because it froze at the "waiting for character to create" screen but i was wondering if anyone could explain this.

ok so recently i made my first attempt into the NW airfield and as i was going into the northern barracks i was shot by a guy sitting in the corner aiming at the door. I was wondering if anyone had any tactics if a single person or a group of 2 or 3 were to try to enter a building in a situation involving campers.

i was about to look into all the windows but it was to dark to see inside and the one thing i did do in case someone was there was tap the W key so i would be able to move slowly without making any noise. I guess it was just a lot of bad luck to because there were only five people in the server.
