Well, i offered $500 for a DEV to fix this, but someone decided that the developers do not need the $500, and locked my offer. Now I had to hire a 3rd party person to attempt it. If I am not breaking any rules, I will release the open version as soon as it is ready for you guys. I am the owner and operator of the KOS-FORTRESS servers. I am hoping to get a un-modifyed DAYZ server up and running before the weekend. Once I get my hands on the MOD, I may switch all 12 of them over. So, keep your eyes peeled. I will start switching them as fast as the fill up. (please excuse my bad English, I am not always an American)

Hello, I am going to switch one of my servers over to DayZ, But I do not want any night time. I do not want realism, I want a server that I can actually play on. I am willing to pay a small fee (only up to $500.00 USD) for this service if needed. If you live in Hawaii, I have some workstations i would be willing to part with rather than paying cash. I would like it to cycle immediately from sunset, to sunrise. I also want the players to get restocked with supplies when they re -spawn. They NEED FLAIRS! gun and the rest of the default stuff. Every time I try to log into a server, i am stuck in the middle of the night , without bullets, and no flairs . I have tried to respawn countless times, and even tried to commit suicide. Yet I am still always out of ammo, and No flairs , standing in the dark. Well, my valued clients, do not need to suffer the same fate. Their first taste of this game will involve.... Well.... Playing. We have no servers here in Hawaii, I am hoping to fix this very soon. Serious inquiries only please. TIA!

Actually the DOF and motion blur are post processing features

I was trying to get this thing to work for a few days now, only to find out that I had it installed correctly the entire time. If the screen is entirely black, but you still have HUD, and you can hear things around you, Then.... IT IS NIGHT TIME. You have a Flair you start out with, and somehow you need to light it and use it. I have no idea how to do this. But it seems logical. I was fortunate enough to find a server that was set at sunset. Standing around a flair all night sounds like some really fast paced fun. It is much funner than the game of "Turn off the lights and stand in the corner." because it has sound effects to entertain you. Going to see if i can randomly find a day time server so i can actually try playing this game. Hope this helps someone, I almost gave up finally.

In the time it took to make , and maintain this thread you guys could have just use Nulsoft installer. It is free IIRC. Not too hard to use either, it has a neat GUI, and a scripting language. I am not a (very good) programmer, and I can even use it. I have tried for 3 days now, and that is all the free time I am willing to spend on testing. I may be back later after we finalize the Red Orchestra 2 patch to see if I can install this mod. You guys are getting some great exposure right now. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone had something good to say about this great looking modifycation? Hope this was helpful. :) you guys have a great lloking game going on here.

I have been in the game mod-ing / play ing community for a very long time now, and I must say that this is by far the most complicated game I have ever come across to install. Any plans on making an automated packager, so there is 1 file to download and install? maybe a desura automated updater and installer? I have been at this for almost 2 days now, without any luck. I watched the video on installing, and I must have missed something, or the video is out dated. I have a feeling this would really add a lot of people to the community, if they could actually install and play the game. Thank you :)
