Hi! Hope this is not too OT. (then delete thread and kill my dog please) I love dayz, but Im taking a break until the standalone comes(Skiddies+ALT-F4, blarghh). However I loooove the gunplay and the rush of adrenaline the firefights in this engine gives you. Also the epic scope of the maps! What mods/servers would Arma 2 players here on the forum recommend to me? I had never played Arma before Dayz came out (sorry!). We are a group of 5-10 people playing regularly. Thank you!

Been playing since 1.5.4 with Arma2:oa beta patches with no problem. Then the update goes final on Steam, and i launch the game... but blaaaaargh.... Tried absolutely everything, (I think). ->launch parameters up the wazoo ->deleting/reinstalling battleye ->launching outside steam ->installing sixlauncher(ughhh, what a UI, eh?) ->installing Dayzcommander(Looks tite! Didnt work either) Is my only solution to uninstall everything and re-download the whole thing? HALP!! One of you respawn. He runs to a hospital and gets morphine, then gets back to you guys and heal yer bones. All this while you lie in the woods like wounded turrets guarding the lucky respawnee's body.

Uninstalled: battleye, sixlauncher and arma2+OA. Redownloaded and installed. Works now :)

Arma 2 oa doesnt even work anymore after the steam patch :( Trying to delete local content and reinstalling now...

Shot two people today. No D/C. Me and my group had an intense firefight outside NE Airfield yesterday, my friend killed two, they killed one of us. No D/C. :) Not all people are cheaters, so there is hope!

Ok. Did as you told me. Now I get the "Error creating Direct3D 9 graphical enigine". At least a new error message! haha! EDIT: It seems Steam downloaded the non-beta arma2oa.exe and put it in my main arma2 oa directory, overwriting the beta exe when it verified the game cache. So then I quit Steam -> Overwrite with beta arma2oa.exe again -> launch steam as admin -> launch combined operations -> "The program has stopped working". Back to square one, lol.

Hi LVG. Thanks for the support. I have followed all the steps in your OP, but when i launch combined operations in steam I get the error message "Arma2oa.exe has stopped working." The version of my arma2oa.exe in the Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead folder is 1.60.0.94364 I have added the -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -nosplash -mod=@Dayz line to arma2oa launch options in Steam. The game (and dayz) works perfectly if I use Sixlauncher or just start the _runA2CO_beta.cmd file. I just want that sweet Steam overlay and gametime logging :)

Immensely irritating when freshly spawned, but when you get a toolbox it is really no problem. Is it just me or is toolboxes much more common loot now anyway?

Hi! Been playing for two weeks now, and everything have been working perfectly....until yesterday. Me and my buddy were just done bloodpacking it up in the hospital in Berezino. We were heading north then he said: "look there, an army base." (north of the city) I was just "huh??!" All i could see was a football field with some zombies on. The problem was I was obiously missing something, but could see all the zombies that should be hiding in the millitary tents. The same thing happened when we found a deerstand later. I didnt see anything, just the loot of the deerstand floating in the air. haha! What is my problem and how do I fix it? I have the latest version and is running Combined operations from steam with the "-mod=@dayz -nosplash" prompt. Screenshot: Dont have any screens of the football field/millitary base but could go back and snap some if needed.

Thanks! Did what you told me but to no help. Steam found one file that got redownloaded. Back in the game, still no dearstands and millitary base north of Berezino. Hmmm, maybe its just my GFX card or something?

It was just a matter of time before it exploded. Game is too good to be ignored by the masses. Best game I have played in years :)
