I like the new version, but I am very curious as to when the next version of Eating and Antibiotic Finding Simulator comes out. By the way can we remove these zombies and the other players. I have to run around forever to finally get hit 3 times to be infected. So any word as to if I can just spawn infected to save time from collecting loot /fighting off zombies/interacting with other survivors, and just get right to stuffing my face constantly. I just want to get to that root DayZ Food/Antibiotics Edition core gameplay.

Yeah I have a friend who can't see at all at night, but I and another can. Don't know why, wasn't gamma related or anything (monitor related most likely) Used to play on day servers a lot because of that.

Morality in video games, this will get published. :rolleyes: It is a game, I spent hours finding loot. I kill you so I am certain to keep my loot. In real life, no I would not kill you. Yet this is a game. I play some lifes as "avoidance survivor" and sometimes I will go active bandit to change it up. Why, because it is a game and that is fun TO ME and breaks the same cycle. BTW, if you are close enough to a scowl on my face in SA you are either already dead (or I am dead and face is scowling a la rigor mortis) or a personal friend I play with. So good luck with that, don't let people I know that close before firing at least a warning shot/and VOIP or trying to kill. So either cry and put a mask on the baddies, or play with that wonder if the person is docile or going to murder you (one of the great things about DayZ that moment of tension). Keep DayZ Fun.

Short of recent changes, I like Chris' list. Hope SA fixes 1, and I hope vehicles and movement are like Arma 3. Tired of losing tires to tiny pebbles and becoming completely immobile. Movement seems smoother to an extent in Arma 3, don't spend as much time in buildings in Arma 3 though, so not certain.

The real world makes a fun game! Especially with real world predetermined infection etc, good thing the real world is there to make games fun for us! (And offer oddly accurate infection rates for a zombie outbreak... crazy how that is real.) real world argument always proper for a mod were cans of beans replenish blood... better make the primary objective. goooo realism

This. To me I love difficulty, but the mechanic how it is now is just not fun. There is a difference in difficulty and just being tedious. Hopefully this gets refined. Mod going off my playlist (again, just tryed to start back) for awhile. The snarky responses by the "new"(for me anyways..) staff don't help my hopes... but good luck and i hope you realize you are making a game(mod) and that requires some reasonable amount of fun. Plenty of new features, which is probably fun to add I guess... but would rather have good ol' dayz. The older dayz was fun, so still hoping standalone will be (since rocket keeps mentioning dayz roots...)

No you don't have to have permission to make a dayzmod server. You do have to have permission to use the @hive. So private hive required. Someone running a private server/hive doesn't really do anything.

Arched, this idea has been posted 100 times. Everytime it has been shot down... by these tools who think there way of playing is the only way that is fun. Yeah it is suppose to be "hard", but for those that don't have 5 hours to run around, it is boring/annoying. If are not an asocial wierdo, I would think most people would agree, playing with friends is much more fun. So +1 to different spawn setup of some kind.

So we removed the respawn button. Result: The Good: Can't abuse it to, try to rush back to gear. The Not so Good: Takes even longer to meet up with friends. The result of good/not good. Run to nearest town, get self eaten. Respawn. Takes 3 minutes longer. No fix. THE BAD:HACKERS REALIZE THIS AND TELEPORT YOU TO OCEAN... Have a nice swim. Well that sucks.

Holding down W for 30 minutes, to only get randomly killed by a hacker or teleported. Is not fun.

I just think this shows a lack of focus, or at least well guided focus in the term of developing. I mean, why remove the re spawn button in the alpha? Oh because people abuse it? So to fix this abuse. Lets remove it all together. Ignoring all ramifications of this. Seems like a lazy fix, to a very small issue. With terrible graphical errors, glitchy barb wire, rampant hacking, locked servers where admins cheat to get gear, item duping, and countless other problems. What needed to be addressed was people respawning... because that hurts so many people? The 15-20 minute thing could work, good suggestion

Just curious, has rocket or any staff. Mentioned in an interview or post, what they plan on doing to try and limit hacking in later stages. I mean, if it is mainly the engine itself. Is not a waste of time to develop a mod/game, that has an excellent idea, on a terrible platform. It is like designing a great mansion on a house, amazingly beatiful mansion, then building it on a rickty rotten wood platform on the side of a landsliding hill.
