    Gas Siphoning.

    Arkansas credit cards! Wonderful!
  2. It's three paragraphs in, and yet somehow you STILL didn't read it. I even separated it from the rest of the text. Why are you even commenting here?

    Scarier Zombies/Other Mods

But this game WILL get past that point, I believe in it! And what then?

    Player's Kill book

Well, I don't want a way for people to instantly be able to find out if you're trusteorthy. Other than the "Day Z should be a challenge dammit" rule #1, "don't trust anyone" is rule #2 that this server is recorded on. If there was a book that involuntarily made you record all of your kills, instead of saying "Friendly" when you meet someone, you'd just say "killbook?", and of they hesitate in any way, you'd know they were hiding something and you could shoot them in the head guilt-free. I love the deceivers and the con men (I even love the snipers and highwaymen, the only ones I hate are the silent robbers, they're no fun). That's what makes the atmosphere even more than the zombies. Zombies are predictable, they're inevitable, and they're unchangeable. But that fellow walking behind you is none of those things. A) you have no true idea what he's going to do next. B) You could easily send him off or kill him in a fit of acute paranoia or greed. C) observe sub point B. If you know them IRL (before you say THAT'S NO FAIR/METAGAMING/RETARDED, I might point out that that's like being good friends with them before the outbreak, so it's realistic in my eyes), you can probably trust them. Otherwise you go to their house and throw a brick at something. Hyperbole, but still. Otherwise, don't trust anyone instantly. And if you could, then that's just no fun to me. Probably because I AM a likely candidate for a paranoid schizophrenia diagnosis (as seen in my previous posts, I do own military grade ballistic vests, Soviet helmets and uniforms, eleven firearms, a sizeable collection of knives, two gas masks, a ghillie suit, over three thousand rounds of ammunition, and a survival stockpile 'just because why the hell not'), I feel that's the founding point of this game... There woulsn't even be a 5th Amendment option. If he says no, that means he's clearly guilty! Never mind that he would probably shoot you if he was an actual bandit, he clearly has skeletons in his logbook! The only passable excuse I can even think of would be "I dropped it for bullets/pasta/bandages, but still.

Precisely. Once players DO have NCBR gear, they might decide to go in so all OTHER players are gone. And of course, that's only the daredevils.

    The "Others"

I don't think so. It's been pitched before and I've shot it down then. I just think players HAVE the ability to do this. We just never do. NPCs should never have to fill any roles players can do- be it shopkeeper, highway patrolman, bandit, etc etc.

    Don't Remove Tents.

I do believe they'll wipe them at some point or other during the update process, that might be what you saw. It IS an alpha, after all.
  8. It's an exploit, but honestly, if you could do it, you know you would probably do it as well. It's a fairly common problem in video games, just because walls don't figure into it because they also don't frequently consider it. Not a severe exploit, but yes, it should be fixed if they have time.

    Best ping server ive seen!

I've seen 31 before. Of course, my computer's crap, so it doesn't help one bit anyway...

    Can server owners trace vehicles?

Confession: I've been walking through the woods vefore, and my guy's practically racked himself on an ATV that was sitting literally INSIDE a bush. Completely hidden to anyone who didn't literally hit their character's crotch on the fender. I took it. Obviously. Just saying, nothing's perfectly hidden. Because there are a few people like me who have the weirdest luck.

New survivor looking for experienced teacher

I might be willing to. Do you have a microphone, and what servers can you play on?

    Snipers are actually piñatas.

Nope. That sounds like my favorite kind of weapon. As long as it looked cool, I'd hand it to my less well versed friends and say, "Here, try shooting that hay bale over there...while I take our only car and go THAT way. Have fun!" Also, as to the OP, BRILLIANT! I always had this thought in the back of my mind, but now that's my goal for my next life!\ PS- My first impression of your title: "I'll have what he's smoking."

    Vehicles less rare?

Or they could actually put boundaries on the map. Maybe physical, or put one of the cheap Haloesque "RETURN TO THE APOCALYPSEFIELD" messages. All I know is, isn't this place supposed to be quarantined? What if choppers fly in and blow the hell out of you after a certain point right at the edge of the map?
  14. I was about to yell at you because double tapping shift is in the game, but then I was like, "Oooooh, I see what he's getting at!" +1. Just don't clutter the UI too badly.

Character death should carry more weight

I'm paranoid as well, except instead of retreating I get ready to return fire. I don't know about you guys, but if I had to wait twenty minutes, I'd turn around and watch TV for twenty minutes. It's not like I'm some completely impatient spaz who's going to flip my computer desk and storm off twelve minutes in...
  16. True. But There are ways to avoid getting shot in the face. Like avoiding straight lines, hugging walls, staying in cover, etc. etc. In all honesty, I like those bastard snipers. Because they keep people on their toes. They keep people watching for them, and expecting bad things to happen at any time. They're the atmosphere of the game almost more than zombies. But evidently some people stroll along and forget there are snipers. Not trying to be offensive, but that's how it would probably be.
  17. No. Just...no. Why don't we just remove other players fom the game completely, as make it single player! Because that's the ONLY way to fix PVP. Also, me and four of my friends all own ghillies. Just saying.
  18. I don't know about the bulletproof vest, I think it's toto ineffectual to make a zombie harder to kill just by giving it more bullet resistance. But I do like the possibility of colonels and generals left behind as zombies. Obviously they wouldn't be anywhere near common, since of all people they'd be the ones that would be pulled out. But they'd always have a map, a GPS, (when they were implemented) a radio, and a PDW an ammo.

    Airborne virus. V4

Now that might be venturing too far into MMORPG. I think it should be something to avoid like the plague (see what I did there lololololol), and the only incentive should be either A, there are heavy military installations with breached chemical weapon tanks, or B, the knowledge that no sane person would actually go INTO the mist, so your looting will be unhindered by snipers and bandits.

    Player's Kill book

Okay, okay, that sounds horrible. Maybe show it on the inventory icon instead? Notches on the bottom left? At least then we would only have to make it once for primary and once for secondary. Rocket launchers shouldn't be a problem :P Wouldn't it be interesting to take a gun from a lowly noob, and it had two hundred notches, and realise it must have been transferred from survivor to survivor, bandit to bandit, by trade, gift, theft, and murder? Imagine the sense of history you'd get! And I son't think this would push it too far: What if, on the bottom right, you could scratch a name on the weapon? I name all of my guns IRL, after all... Only catch would be you could only do that if it had never been done before. So if you took one from a bandit, it would have a name given to it by that bandit. Or who knows, maybe it was given to it by someone else!

    Weapon and Equipment Degradation

Agrees. Also, our attention spans are so short that even if we survive longer than thirty-one minutes, we'd be switching our 870s for AKs, and our AKs for M4s, and our M4s for other M4s, and those M4s for FALs, and our FALs for L85s, etc. etc. we'd never hold onto a gun that long. It would be nice to have to clean your guns regularly, but I just like to imagine my character does that while I'm gone.

Is that a mod? I'm interested in it based on the name alone.

    Player's Kill book

How about notches in your gun, as cliché as that is? That sounds fairly cool to me.
