Rocket has said from the beginning we need to make the rules we just need to enforce them. Any safe zone put in by the game anyway would just be camped so second you came out of it you would be shot. You want a trade zone get 20 people together to hold a town and enforce the rules. This is how rocket wants it and this is how it would need to be done.

Simply 90% of the time I just want to see what rocket and the other dayz staff have replied to when I come to the forums. I want to see answers not 98232 complaints. You can go to each account profile and look at only the last 5 posts so I miss quite a few. Rocket said post his helpful but only rocket and is human updated so takes some time. I simply would like some way to search or somewhere that i can just scroll through any dayz dev team or dayz web team posts. I did search found nothing on this.

You are playing a free mod of your own choice. You have no right to demand anything. So do us all a favor and never come back to the forums. You bought Arma 2 you did not buy Day Z. The hacker situation until stand alone is something BI would have to deal with anyway. So 1. read 1 of a thousand other fucking posts on this (search it's not hard) 2. I base this on the situation. If I find some random guy in the middle of a forest and I just happened to see him first (pretty much if he was just unlucky) I will leave this body. If I find a guy at the airfield or some high risk place I hide the body (more than likely he wouldn't even be the next one too it). Lastly if he shoots at me and yet I still kill him then most def hide the body. So pretty much I hide it unless I feel the guy just got a bit unlucky.

Yeah my tents are also back must of just been a 1 reset flop where tents/vehicles did not spawn.

I think the newer patch must of broken the automated server resets.

Not that I care but did anyone else lose all tents on this server. I had mine until the 3:30 a.m. ESt (1:30 MNT my time) restart got on this morning both tents 2 different spots missing. Not sure if this is weird thing, server cleared tents or dayz tent cleanup.

Rocket has already said in the past that he is only banning the people that spawn in the items. They are safe to take. On that note I usually only take the legit items they spawn though for fear of admin banning thinking I spawned in the hacked guns etc.

Servers still down but also hopefully they come back up on one of the newer patches.

2 possible issues I could see with Alt-F4 fix if no leeway is giving after initial server load. 1. When my normal server is down (which it has been on wrong beta version for like 4 days now) I sometimes have to join several servers to find one that has options I like (no tags/ no crosshairs /preferably no 3rd) names help sometimes but allot are off or wrong and only say 3dp chat not most settings. ( I am usually at camp long away from anything. (possible fix to on the server lobby screen add server setting section letting everyone know these things. This way join server but not actually query hive for char creation> 2. I often play with 2 or 3 groups of friends that use different servers. If I log on play for an hour then switch will that be picked up? I often pick a server play for a bit then wait for one of my friends to hit me on on skype then move to the server they normally play on. (Mainly what will be the min time it starts picking up. Like if you play for over 20 minutes on a server does it not count or 30 or an hour etc.)

I prefer buy game like Guild wars. Free to play is fine but only if done similar to LoL where you only buy side grades or buy cosmetic stuff. Buy power = Bad. Hard to do profitable though as many many have tried LoL being one of only success stories (recent semi failure tribes ascend not doing well using LoL type model) Subscription just doesn't work anymore. Only game in last few years that even semi-succeeded is new Star Wars MMO and they lost subscriptions rapidly and that is with Star wars name behind it. Fact is age of subscription is ending. Community/Studio mix is best but community over studio pure (as long as people read and pick through community allot know very little about balance/game design). Servers either is fine. I did like how Tribes Ascend did this it was Studio servers but Clans could rent servers from the Studio. Kickstarter - I would donate to a kickstarter.

No your still wrong. Go do research on hacks being used. 95% are script kiddies using others hacks. This is why you see the same fucking hacks over and over. Arma 2 /Day Z are not a challenge. Shit I could probably hack the game and I'm not even that good of a developer. You say they do it for a challenge on a game that is highly unsecure because it is a sand box / open Mod game. People are using the same hacks that have been used in arma 2 for last 2 years. People do it for A. sales profit to the kiddies that I speak of or B. they did it 3 years ago and people just using the scripts.

No your the one that is wrong. Why do people by sports cars. Because they are in community consider "cool" they get ATTENTION. People notice them. People notice people driving them faster. Yes the original hackers the 5% i noticed do it as a challenge. Why shit like hooking up rice burners was not done for like 20 years (with the parts available) until movies like Fast and Furious and it rap videos it became "cool" Fact is 95% of hackers are not the ones that actual did the hack they just use hacks other create. These are the most common and the ones that people have issues. They are the ones that do it to hear chat cry. Also why more hacks happen on servers with chat then without. Also why usually high volume servers with most people to piss off are targeted. The 5% hacks it to prove they can, get's bored moves on to next game. Sandbox highly mod game is not even much of a challenge for them. They would much prefer to move onto high DRM games. Idiots like you are just as big of a problem as the hackers. You are the Fuel to the fire.

The maps have been removed because fact is all of them end up realize it's random. I know of at least 8 spots not on that last posted map and it is already mostly filled. Pretty much anywhere not on bottom 20% of map or far to edges and in a field they can spawn. As far as strats it's simple after a server reset just cover as much of the fields as possible. Note that most common found are near Stary and NW but that is because people travel the most their and those ones are also the most likely to be looted before you get to them.

More you talk about hackers more people will hack. They are like 5 year old's just looking for attention. Every thread like this probably creates 3 hackers just to hear you complain. 95% of hackers would go away if idiots like you did not give them the attention they are craving.

You realize things like this is exactly what hackers like to see. Making this poll will encourage more hacking. Best thing to do is ignore them they are like 5 year olds that just want attention. So congrats on supporting and helping hackers and making the issue worse.

Looking for guys to play with that have some expirence and know what they are doing. Overall atm I am pretty stacked l85 and DRM coyote NV. Although that could easily change in the next couple hours who knows. I am 27 prefer a group of older guys. Mainly looking for groups of guys that we go in to NW or Berizno organized with a plan but do not want to play to scared and just sit int he woods all the time. A group that is going to look for engagments and not run from them. Dieng sucks but usually teaches you what you did wrong. I do not want any super hardcore group that thinks having to call other sir and that crap is fun. I like to play organized and planned but that is just to far in my opinion etc. Absolutley do not want to play with anyone cheating or exploiting in any way. Only time I have ever Alt f4'd is after watching my friend get blown up by a Warthog on a bombing run about 40 m away from me (which are not even in this game). I also do not want to play any groups with gear restirctions etc. Fact is I play allot, so yeah at times I die. Half the fun in this game is getting all the top stuff again after dieing. I really prefer non-3rd person servers because of some of the cheap tricks you can do but that I am open to 3rd for right group. I don't play with nametags/crosshairs or of those crutches.

I think the better choice in all of this would be groups of servers. So say their is 4 styles of servers A servers. B servers. C. servers and D. servers. All A servers are A charchters etc. and on. This would also allow you to play with different groups of friends and stick together not have to spend an hour to get close to each other to have to go 30 min later and get nothign done together.

It's a Hacker and they normally dont' stick to any one server. They go for all kinds of servers with high player counts. Fact is if they already killed people twice on that server more than likely it's one of the safer places to be right now. Although, no where is safe. You gear is just beign rented you have to return it at some point no matter what :).

Simple rules kill or avoid. If I am in Heli crash or NW or Berizino (any high risk area) I see someone I shoot. Real simple to high risk area to take chances. If I see someone in random spot I look at what they have see if it may be worth killing if it not avoid. Kill or Avoid never trust (unless you don't have much then trust away take a chacne)

I'm generally pretty against removing any items and do thinkt he game dynamics are good. However, I do think currently the night meta is kind of bad because of NVG's. I am not sure if the right move is to remove them but that is an option. Personally my view on them is because of how rare they are it certainly makes the balance a little off. As somoene said above I have killed plenty of high end players pretty decked with a Lee during the day before. Fact is 80% of engagments (as they should) between small 1-3 man vs 1-3 man groups are decided on which group spotted the other first. This can because of skill in locations, patience, and just luck. Certainly guns give you advantages but seeing them first is the biggest advantage. That being said. Having a super rare item giving people the ability to see very well vs people that can barely see (not to mention if they have that rare item they probably also have weapon advantage) just turns people off from night time play unless they are very early on so they don't care if they die or they have them. Fact is this is a realistic discrepency so I can see why it is like that. However, I think either removing or NVG (could leave in the NVG scopes imo). or increasing the spawn so they were not one of the rare items. Maybe make different levels of night vision. People do make more commercial level NVG that are not milatry and that good but would help some maybe. I'm not sure but I do believe NV is currently an issue in the game. Side note it does seem to give high end groups somewhat empty servers to fight with each other without having to worry overly about other players wondering in while not removing it. Not sure if this is good or bad just a note.
