I Love the new update! LOVE IT! Zombies are tough! Finally we have zombies in dayz that are not a pain in the backside! No longer super easy vs zombies, keep up the good work devs! Me and my buddies have had a blast with the new updaet! Its now not just PvP or just surviving, you have to fight vs the ai now! Love seeing groups of zombies running down a hill coming after us after we took out 5-6 of them. People who think its to hard need to go play the mod on servers with tons of cars,etc... or go play WarZ where the zombies are very weak and a non factor (as dayz has been until now).

Keep up the great work rocket! Loving the new update! For people who seem to have lsot there character, check on other servers (hardcore, normal,etc..) and if its still not one of those

I have plenty of great memories of dayz mod and of the standalone (700-800 hours in the mod about 150 so far in the standalone). To me if the threat of people shooting you was gone it would not be nearly as fun. Now do I kill every single person I see? No but I think the THREAT should always be there, one thing of love about this game. Some of them are me helping out other players by being a medic or just giving them stuff I know I can get quickly, Some of them working with a group of 5 or 6 friends and some of them solo on my own. Sometimes I shoot people if they pull there gun out at me or if I have seen them shoot others, but alot of the time I will communicate with them while staying hidden and seeing what they do from there to see if they might be a bandit or a good person. Sometimes I meet players like myself who like to help out and alot of time its bandits, which makes the game super fun to me. Weither I am working with a group of 5 or 6, on my own or what ever, I have had a blast. Yes the game is not done and far from perfect (No Early Alpha games are), but I can see it being even more fun once a ton of new stuff is added. Maybe something like ALTIS LIFE is more like what you are looking for? Check it out if you have ARMA3. I dont kill any fresh spawns and I usually only shoot if I feel threatened, but I still have a blast and a fun time knowing that there are bandits out there that will shoot right away, makes the game more intense. With so many games these days that are so dumbed down and childish so to speak, this dayz has been a breath for fresh air for me. Not since Ultima Online YEARS ago have I had this kind of fun for an online game with lots of other players and I feel one of the reasons is that both games it actually means something to die, you don't just lose a few exp or something you lose everything you had and must start over. I love the feeling that someone might be stalking me or about to jump me, gotta always be on guard. Mix in the fact that it is build around arma tactics/engines which I like as a fan of old slower tactical shooters like operation flashpoint, ARMA, the first ghost recon and the first few rainbow six games. I also loved learning this map in dayz, it is so beautiful and such a joy to explore and learn to a degree now that I know it aswell as my hometown lol. Anyways, just my two cents on why I love DayZ, maybe try playing with a bunch of friends? That way you have a better chance vs bandits and groups of bad guys? Maybe the game is just not for you, I might suggest Project Zomboid, State Of Decay and 7 days to die if you want a less in your face game than this, but still with scavenging, zombies,etc.. You cant really make a game fun for someone, maybe comeback later when more features are in the game and when its out of early alpha stage, or maybe try a game I listed above that are less cutthroat (all games I enjoy for different reasons than dayz). Maybe also you have just had bad luck, I have met probably 70% bandits and 30% survivors so far, there is some good people out there, maybe organize a game sometime with your friend and 2-3 more friends of yours and his.

I can already see the youtube videos of people shooting others while they pick and eat berries lol. Funny thing is a few days ago I went down south in dayz to meet my cousin we start to head back up north and he says "Can we pick berries now? I swear there is more bushes now with what looks like berries" I said "Well in Altis Life on arma3 we can and it sure looks like these bushes have berries, who knows maybe rocket will add it soon" sure enough here come dem berries lol.

The sounds are not that great yet for the M4, but the Mosin sounds and handles fantastic. I dont mind the M4 for shooting but the sound definatly can be improved alot.

The red axe is the only melee weapon that feels good so far for the melee. Good start so far but definatly some room for improvement!

Yup, when i use my axe on cans of food I lose about 30-40% of the food. Jsut got a can opener an hour ago and it does not spill any (:

It sure is alot harder! 6 hours of gameplay has been my longest survived, a handful of quick deaths though hehe. Definatly harder than the mod!

I like how the crafting is, I love getting a shirt and making it into rags! I would love to be able to put nails or something onto my baseball bat or stuff like that. To be honest just follow kind of the way Project Zomboid and 7 days to die have done crafting! Loving the game!

cosign, I played 8 hours the other night lol, and I rarely ever do that for games.

You are on the wrong server (wrong version), there was a update today, some servers have not updated yet. One of the issues if you join wrong version and you have new update version is doors wont open.

- I fell threw a fence near the top of one of the apartments above cherno - My friend got stuck in the cell at bolata airfield (in the walls) - When you go to put new items into your pack and you try to scroll it dissapears for good (you MUST put it in vicinity part of the menu).

I like it alot, it is a fantastic base for the game to build on. Honestly better than I expected.

Some work on the drops, vehicles (even just mountain bikes), coughing when sick and much more I cant think of right nwo cuz im tired from all this dayz the last two days haha

Must be the server you are on, I am a vet of dayz and I have died a bunch, half the time frmo zombies. Try some other servers maybe? Better than I expected for an early alpha to be honest. Hope things improve for ya though so you enjoy it more. I respect you're opinion, just disagree is all!

So far I have had a blast, yes there is issues and things I can't wait to be added, but wow what a good game so far! I enjoyed the dayz mod alot but even then I wasn't expecting this to as good as it is this year (alpha). Keep up the good work Rocket! Good base to build the game on you have here, good luck in the future!

HELL NO, I will be doing my usual medic work and trying to bring a little GOOD into the tough world that is DAYZ.

It is fantastic and the best of the user made levels definatly.

What I usually do after I die is get to cherno, Electro or Bolata right away. Yes they are always filled with people, but usually I can get in quickly to get a gun, some food and some drinks (along with a quick stop at a hospital as I roleplay as a medic). Then once i get out of town I head up north and get away from the chaos. As the first reply said though, get in and out ASAP. Don't stick around or take you're time. Know what you are going in there for and get in and out as fast as possible. Also learning the map is important, learn it like the back of you're hand or the city you live in. And lastly, don't trust most people!

Taviana is my favorite user made map (: 2nd would be Namalsk
