Nah, maps are very easy to find in supermarkets (as are matches, compass and binoculars).

Just some friendly advice.. always have atleast 3 morphenes on you. Its good to get medical supplies early on before you head up norht in my experience.

Berezino and Stary up north have been the most populated and dangerous places for me. Definatly love going to them though (: The two groups I play with also hit Berezino up often, as its a good spot to go after hiding our vewhicles up north (:

There is signs at the start and end of each city/village. Cant find em? You are not looking hard enough (unless someone drove over them)

haha, my friend always says the same thing haha. I just asked him today "Im at the supermarket, need a map, compass or matches?" and he said "Compass of course!!!! Why even ask!"

Matches are easy to find, check marketplaces, I have seen 7 of them tonight in 2 marketplaces.

been playing since its been out and never said I quit this game. Even when I have died from a door, broke a leg 2 feet up in a farm,etc.. I still have a blast. -
Cosign, I have had some silly deaths but I honestly like starting over sometimes. Despite its issues the game is amazing and one of the most addictive games ive played in ages.

I have one on me right now, where is your character at? This is th 4th one ive found, all of them at the hospital near the apartments in Cherno (although they dont spawn there all the time just sometimes).

I have scared the crap out of myself doing the same thing. A few times when ive been on my own in the forest and another time with 4 friends at our vehicle hideout haha (didnt kill any of them though like you did). RIP to your friend. -

Dayz is AMAZING for being worked on as log as it has been and for being in alpha state. The game keeps improving (My loading and fps have gone way up since the latest 2 arma2 beta patches). Have faith in Rocket and the team! They have done an amazing job so far. Also you and others are acting like dayz is the only game with hackers. I have seen TONS of hackers in such games as COD:MW2, BF:BC2, Red Orchestra2 (Few days after release there was tons of hacks to buy online),etc... Every game will have some hackers, its always been like that. Lets hope they can minimize the amount of hackers. Also The War Z looks and sounds like a kids version of DAYZ, no thanks. -
I use frpas but I have heard from a bunch of friends that Bandcam (or bandcamp? i donno) or something along those lines is very good to.

Yeah I have been playign since teh game came out and played hundreds of hours, only come across one Hacker who was teleporting himself all around, super fast moving. Nothign else though, maybe we have been lucky? Or maybe the people who are complaining just really suck? -
zombies to hard o_0 Get a good gun, some morphene and its easy to deal with zombies. Just remember the SHIFT button is your best friend! (Walk slowely)
