Must be the server you are on, I am a vet of dayz and I have died a bunch, half the time frmo zombies. Try some other servers maybe? Better than I expected for an early alpha to be honest. Hope things improve for ya though so you enjoy it more. I respect you're opinion, just disagree is all!

So far I have had a blast, yes there is issues and things I can't wait to be added, but wow what a good game so far! I enjoyed the dayz mod alot but even then I wasn't expecting this to as good as it is this year (alpha). Keep up the good work Rocket! Good base to build the game on you have here, good luck in the future!

HELL NO, I will be doing my usual medic work and trying to bring a little GOOD into the tough world that is DAYZ.

It is fantastic and the best of the user made levels definatly.

What I usually do after I die is get to cherno, Electro or Bolata right away. Yes they are always filled with people, but usually I can get in quickly to get a gun, some food and some drinks (along with a quick stop at a hospital as I roleplay as a medic). Then once i get out of town I head up north and get away from the chaos. As the first reply said though, get in and out ASAP. Don't stick around or take you're time. Know what you are going in there for and get in and out as fast as possible. Also learning the map is important, learn it like the back of you're hand or the city you live in. And lastly, don't trust most people!

Most the time I Keep running (in a wierd zig zag movement) or once in awhile depending on where I am I will lay down flat on the ground. I never turn around and start shooting though, unless its close quarters like in an apartment or barn,etc.. But out in a field or forest? hell no.

Cosign!! Rocket you are more then just someone that came up with a great idea and mad an amazing mod that spawned a new game genre, you are more then the average dev to us dayz fans. You are more like a friend or family member that we care for and wish the best for. Health is the #1 thing that matters. I know this all to well personally from personal experience. Take the time you need, most of us true dayz fans will wait as long as it takes for the standalone. Another game I like had a ton of issues aswell! Project Zomboid, seemed like nightamre after nightmare for those guys. But the whole time this was going on I honestly did not even think or care about "Where is TEH GAME!", all i cared about was the devs and the project they where working on and the bad things that had happened to them. It looked like they where going to quit after a handful of bad things happened, but they stuck with it and still working on the game. Witnessing them gogin threw these hard times made me appreciate them even more, in the end its almost as if that bad and negative stuff that happened made them better, they learned from it. Sometimes life tosses some nasty things at us Rocket, they suck to go threw at times but in the end they only make us stronger! You and you're dev team can do this! Take as much time as you need and put you're best foot forward when you are ready! We care about you're health and well being like we do friends and family, the game can wait! Take your time and try and have fun bud! Us gamesr have DayZ mod to play right now anyways, with all the new user made things its not such a big deal! I have given many people morphene and blood bags in Cherno before (: The 9th time I did this though the person I saved shot me ): There definatly is some good people on dayz, its just rare (;

Wow, what a day of Dayz!!!! It started off with my friend asking me to show him how to play the game, he had no idea where he was, long story short we finally found out where he was (cherno) so I came down south at Electroz. He was on the mountain side in Cherno so I got on the mountain side and started to head over there. What do I see out of the corner of my eye at the farm north of Electroz? A bike! Ima ll excited as I have a bike on another server to and I just love them. As I am about to leave I see a Truck to! I check whats in the truck and its a GOLD mine, 3 guille suites, 2 night vision goggles, a few guns, some ammo and 7 things of gas. The truck had issues though, so I went to grab the stuff I needed and came back to it to fix it up. It really felt like someone had parked this thing to go look for parts to it in Electroz or something. I then go to pick up my buddy, hes all excited to try a different gun out and what not. Then another friend msgs me, asks if I can pick up him and his friend, so we go pick em up past bolata and then head up north. I forgot one thing, on the way to pick up the other two people I got sick and started to cough, so my one friend ran a bit away and guarded the truck whiel I ran to hospital in Cherno PRAYING to find some Antbiotics (which I luckily find) and we are on our way. We hit up a crashed heli and I find NVG (only 2nd ones ive ever found on heli crash) and grab some food which we need. They then have to log off so they do. Me and my newbie friend then keep hitting up cities up north. We get to a building near a marketplace and grab a bunch of things, I go up on the top to see if anyone is around and what do I see? A truck!! Going right towards where we had parked ours! So we start to shoot at this other truck to scare it off and it turns around in a hurry and gets away. Thanksfully they didnt get our truck full of goodies though. Then we head towards stary and on the way we see a blue truck sitting near a small building, I tell my friend "Dude! Looks like another truck! Lets check it!". As soon as we get in our truck to go see it we noticed people running back into it and taking off in a hurry. I think they saw us and didnt want to get the truck jacked (same as us) so we went another way aswell. We head down south again for some fun, the server is bout to restart so we hide the truck somewhere and save it, then I get back on 10mins later and another friend msg's me I tell him about the adventures, so he logs on and i go find him in cherno and pick him up. We get him a few things then leave towards electroz where the bike was that I saw. Its not there so we leave up north and what do we see? an ATV! we drive towards it and they get out and shoot, I run over one of them (I though maybe two) but the second one somehow shot me and my buddy threw the window. So one of there guys dead and me and my friend dead. They got all the stuff and the vehicle, but you know what? That was the most fun I have had in ages, just so many crazy things happened during these 5 hours today. If either of you two ATV dudes who got that truck are on these forums, CHEERS! That was impressive! When I first foudn that truck I though maybe it was a hacked one because of the guille suites (never seen that many in one spot before), but then again me and my friends a month ago had gotten 4 vehicles full of even better stuff (minus the ghuille suits) so it could have been legit, Im not to sure. I just stumbled upon a truck full of goodies and thats how the day went (: We then started again adn actually saw the two guys on the atv after druinvg towards cherno to grab the truck and what not. We played for another hour, got some good things and then both got shot on the way to electro to see if our bodies or truck was there lol. Anyways, sorry for the long post, was just an epic day of Dayz! Game rules! Even with all the crappy artifacts near military stuff. Server was US 501 Atlanata by the way

You obviously have nto played on xbox live much if you think they are free of hackers lol. Ever play Cod Modern Warfare2 the first month it was out? TONS of hackers.

Dont get me wrong I enjoy my consoles and always have. For what they offer (Red Dead Redemption, Forza,etc..). But I agree with the TC, these days it seems like most games that develop for tons of systems end up either having to be dumbed down or have a crap pc version. Make this PC only and then when it makes enough money make a CONSOLE version

There are alot of vehicles, look harder and play longer. i have been playing since Dayz started and have found or helped find 31 vehicles. how long has the game been out? 4 months about? Not to sure. But its not all that hard. Either get a group together and go hunting the spawn spots, or go up north and go hunting for peoples tens/vehicle hideouts. Its not that hard to find peoples stashes up north. Other then that, just keep playing I guess? The next vehicle I find I might have to give to you and your mate if you dont find any by then. Only thing I would like to see more of is the Mountain Bikes. You cant store anything in them, they dont use gas, plus everyone likes bikes.. a few extra of those would not hurt (; Anyways, good luck on your adventures. Did I mention look up north past NW Airfields?

Nope, ARMA2 has more satisfying combat then any other shooter on the market imo. I also love the realism to, Id way rather DayZ standaloen be on teh new ARMA3 engine then COD or BF3 engine to be honest.

ARMA2 = Retail Disc the day the game came out Operation Arrowhead = Steam version a few weeks after it released British Armed Forces and Private Military Company = Steam version day they came out Combined them to make combined Ops. I dont use Six Updator or anything like that, I just do everything manually and load from steam.
