The game is MUCH better now that you spawn with NO weapon. I have tons of fun starting over and having to go find a weapon. Its not super hard to find a weapon so I think starting with one is just a bit silly. KEEP IT AS IS!

Make sure you have the latest version of arma2 beta and also under filter put the # of the update (95208)

Cosign! For me I gained 10-15 FPS in dayz after this arma2 beta patch and also the big thing is loading servers now (mostly) is about 2-3 times faster!

This is NOT true. I have heard about duping when it first started but I have ZERO want to duplicate and cheat in the game. People who duplicate items and leave when PvP is on are idiots.

Just search EVERYWHERE around/below the heli crash. Sometimes things are in wierd places. 3-6 usually for stashes, just keep checking high and low (:

1. Always keep atleast 2-3 morphene on you 2. Dont be scared to hit up the cities when you first start off (as you dont have much to lose). I like Bolata and then Cherno for some medi supplies before I head up north 3. Stay in the tree's and not in the open, snipers love people out in the fields.

I just found 6 clips and two FN Fal's last night. Just check the heli crashes!

Good story! There are some nice people around! Last night me and my friend got shot by two snipers and we started over, hit up Bolata and as we got there another person saw us and ran up to us with his guns but did not shoot us! He saw we had nothing and just left us be. Also another time I saw this guy at the medical tents near Bolata and he didnt shoot me while I was looking for my backpack that had glitched. He actually left me a thing a bandage to which was nice. Then another time when I did the nice deed.... I had seen someone in cherno that had a broken leg and needed morphene, so I killeed the zombies aroudn him and then gave him some morphene. (on the flip side, another time almost the exact same situation, I saw someone at BOlata medical tents and he was on the ground hurt so I gave him morphene and as soon as he got up I said he could grab some more things from my pack, sure enough he looks in and then shoots me lol). Good stuff (: I almost thought this thread was going to be about me and my buddy (: Last night I got him a new gun (FN FAL, he was starting over from down south) and he met me at stary, not many people in the server and these two snipers got us. Oh well, I actually don't mind starting over again now on DAYZ (: And I know they where happy about finding some of the things I had. No joke, it seems like EVERYTIME I find antibiotics I die hahaha. And it also seems like after I kill two humans I ALWAYS die next (weither its a day or a week down the road).

How did I just now go down 1 in temp then?

mmmm me and a friend last week BOTH got sick from us being in teh rain to long and our temp going down. Before last week we had talked about how we hadn't heard many people coughing lately, then BAM few days later we both get sick within the same two days. I am honestly scared to be in teh rain now for me more 5mins

Myself and 6 friends have all had an increase in performance and loading into servers since this latest beta update to arma2. Anyone else getting increased performance with the 95054? Great work BI! (or Rocket,etc.. who ever helped with this latest arma2 beat update, it seems to have helped dayz)

haha,thanks for the laugh TC. Welcome to DAYZ... when things seem to be going perfect and THE BEST is the times when you should be the most worried. Things can change VERY fast. This happens often actually. My buddy said him and some friends started a new server, I expected it to be near empty but it was jammed packed and a TON of people near the red car spawn at Stary Tents. I got out of there ASAP, alot of people had died there trying to get that car (including a friend who fixed half of it he said).
