  1. The longer you live the more active you got to get. Go to a big city and shoot a Lee Enfield round.
  2. I'm rocking the default face.
  3. I like the idea, another way would be that the outlook of the tent changes a bit depending on what's inside. If there were weapons it would look like an army tent. IF there were medical suppliles it would look like a medic tent and so on.
  4. Fun idea, I've actually thought about this alot but never cared to post about it. Also the meat should go bad so you couldn't stock up on it.

    Underground Bases?

    I can't wait for the underground bases. They would be a great addition. Maybe some old soviet sewers or something.

    DayZ Memes

    Good one. OT: How do you put pictures straight to the board nowadays? Usually it was [ img ] pic url [ /img ]but now thta just spawns the link to the pic.
  8. Some melee weapon at start but definitely no firearms. Baseball bat would be cool.
  9. I never respawn without dying. NEVER. If it's a 1 hour crawl then I do it. Can't respawn in real life ya'll.
  10. Usually when I play if I meet another player and try to contact him if he doesn't answer in a reasonable time there's a good chance I'll kill him if he turns with gun pointed at me.
  11. I don't have long term goals for my character per sé but I try to get as good as re-equipping the character as possible. Now if and when I die it doesn't take too long for me to be carrying good enough firearms and supplies to last an apocalypse anymore :)
  12. Heh, good to see someone so excited about this game, that's how you should be, though :) Great game and I remember when I first played it the session was at least 5 hours and couldn't wait to get playing again later that day.
  13. Worked over 16 hours on the 2.0 version today. It's all done except for the guides. I'm having some trouble with them as I intend to make the app multilingual. Therefore I got to have all guide data such as weapons and vehicles in XML files. I think there's some 16 hours left to do so there's no way I can be done 4pm tomorrow. But I promise it's ready this weekend before monday EST :) Now I got to go to sleep. You really have something to wait for.

  15. The bigger the town the more dangerous it is to walk without cover. Airfields are also notorious of their snipers. It was probably a sniper as everyone here seems to think too, at least I've never heard of a sudden-death bug?
  16. Funny thing, Installed the newest eclipse and somehow my whole workspace got written over and now I have lost all the development files of DayZ Mobile 1.5. The newest backups were week old so that doesn't help either :( Therefor I can't give you another update on that since everything would have to be written all over again. Good thing the 2.0 version is well along it's way though, so there's really no need to update the 1.5 to 1.6. The 2.0 will provide everything the 1.5 did and more and better! Here's a sneak peek what's coming on Friday @ 4pm. In the 2nd picture I have minimized the top ribbon by pressing the arrow. This way small screens will have more space for maps and websites on the screen.   17. I have finished the layout of the version 2.0. Now all that remains is porting the functions so they work with this new version. DayZ Mobile v.2.0 should be out and published on Friday at 4pm EST. I got to say it's going to be so much better and according to my tests it works on any screensize and any android version out there. Until Friday I hope you check out the v1.5 if you need assistance while playing. Stay tuned.

Realistic: After a 15km run with 225 lbs. of gear on your back' date=' you would pass out and die of cardiac failure. [b']Authentic: Guns exhibit realistic ballistics behavior, effective ranges, recoil and noise levels. Realistic: Guns constantly jam because they fill with dirt, water & sand, are old & rusted and generally fall apart. Occasionally they explode and blow your ugly face off. Authentic: You can sustain injuries, some of which are life threatening. Realistic: In a world without medical care, antibiotics, and soap w/ clean water, 25%+ of wounds would become infected resulting in fever, sepsis and eventual death in bed while you hallucinate fevered dreams. Authentic: Vehicles require repair before they are operational. Realistic: You seriously think you could fix a broken down vehicle on the side of the road with spare parts you find in a nearby lumber mill? It is the difference between something that resembles reality, and something that attempts to accurately recreate it. It's a subtle difference, but hopefully my examples have helped illustrate that there is, in fact, a difference. This post should be stickied to avoid all the game-is-unrealistic-threads.
  19. I support maps, it's a pain for a new player running in the forest trying to find anything. After a while no maps are needed. Loot maps are questionable though, they take the fun out of looting new places as you already know all the possible loot. It's still as great as ever when you find that FN FAL ANPV S4 even if you looked its location up :)

  22. I already got a bit too much links to handle so I try to keep the quality high. I'll add it as soon as I figure people really want to use it. I have no doubts though :)
  23. Yeah the degradation of zombies sounds great. Fresh zombies will still be impossible to lose unless they degrade really fast after spawning. One intereesting feature would be if zombies sometimes tripped and quickly stood up to continue chasing you. This way you would only have to run until they trip and you would be safe. Tripping chance could increase with zig-zagging.
  24. Good good, great service. If people start using the forum would you mind if I add a link to the trading site on my DayZ Mobile app version 2.0 that's coming later this week? Most people use it while playing so they don't have to alt+tab out and this way they could check and write trades without leaving the game.
  25. I think with the feedback system this could work as people can earn trust and lose it easily. A screenshot has to be provided for negative feedback though, I hope?
