Smart! Now' date=' do [i']silenced weapons. Yes, that's probably the only thing that people should be able to complain about. Someone, somewhere, sitting at the treeline, picking off people in the legs and watching the zeds pounce on them, since they likely wouldn't have any zed attack them unless they are already behind them. (And that's why I call into question why people didn't like my idea of randomly spawning zeds when someone is in an area for too long... Think about it. A sniper sitting on the hill for 30 minutes looks over his shoulder, and noticed 4-5 zeds shambling his way over a hill... Makes sense to me. They were drawn by his smell!) -

It hasn't evolved yet. Give it time' date=' and return when you see fit. As it is, zeds are generally too easy to avoid and/or kill. Aren't we all. -

I'm sorry to say' date=' but your answer isn't sound. The devs and players need to work around this. We need the zeds to be more deadly, and definitely smarter. Make them more of a threat to everybody. Saying it encourages more murder, while it may be true, is not a justifiable answer. It's all about finesse, and how you would use said power. Very true. I would think that this would help out the starting players more, actually. Someone with a Mak wouldn't be as inept, and possibly eaten, and they certainly wouldn't be forced (like they seem to think they are) into a bigger city to search for a bigger gun. -

They're probably using an older version - or no version of the beta at all. Sooner or later, they're going to have to bring everyone into the same version, and then, we'll all be the same. (And yes, I am seeing what you're seeing.)

Last night, I spawned at the "Airfield". After using up most (see: all) of my ammo dealing with the 'heavy' zeds, I came out of the area with a nice AKM, complete with a couple of clips of ammo. Just as I was exiting the maze of razor wire, all of the zeds respawned. (I'm going to go out of my way and say that this is likely 'as intended', and is not supposed to be a cakewalk for the lone wolf character.) Upon exiting, I shot most of them, but managed to empty my AKM (not good) while having only three zeds survive to chase me around. I ran north until I found some structures I recognized, and proceeded to get inside a building, so that I would be able to switch to my Mak and dispatch the final three. Things did not go as planned. As it turns out, I had only THREE rounds left. The first two zeds went down with headshots! (YAY!) The last one - coincidentally, a crawler - took my last bullet in his shoulder. (I TOLD YOU I suck at aiming.) Anyhow, for whatever, reason, he started crawling away (?) outside. I bandaged up, and heard shots from outside. Uh oh. That's not good. Someone is outside - and I am all out of bullets. In voice, I heard, "Friendly?" and I responded in kind via chat. I walked outside, and he immediately aimed at me - I thought FOR SURE he was going to shoot, but I told him that he had likely saved me - and he could have my AKM in trade. I laid it on the ground, and he asked me to take three Mak mags from his pack, which I did. I thanked him again, and we set off in separate directions. (MacQyver was his name. I remember that.) So - when everybody shouts "doom and gloom" all over the place, just remember, it's not all a deathmatch out there.

Filter "GMT-" and a number that is inverse to your own, and it will find a few that are in the zone in which you are interested. Some, with very little lag. -
It's an interesting little poll. I especially like the "I am mostly killed by" question, that could have been formed better. Where's the "I have NO idea what killed me" answer? Also - there's a significant issue with the question altogether, since I think many of us can agree that a LOT of 'deaths' are due from being killed by an 'unknown assailant', and not someone who jumps out in front of you, or sticks around in your field of view while you're unconcious.

I think it might be a better question to ask for polls to be provided by DayZ Staff. (Hear me out.) Right now, we'll get a bunch of polls with, "What's better, with or without Bandit Skins?" with little-to-no context. (Or, context that favours one group over another.) My thinking would be that, we either provide a bunch of input from a thread to the DayZ staff (conflicting viewpoints, etc.) and they put out the poll. If you don't, we'll all have a poll, we'll all word it so that our opinion would win, and that'll be that.

Well, shit. Then, we're arguing the same damn thing. I'd like to say it's the zeds fault. They're too damn easy to avoid or kill. (And it's no damn fun to run from them any more - I aggro fifty of them, then, can't find anyone to drag 'em to.) -
