It works now, providing you're using the latest Arma2 beta, which you are going to be forced to do when DayZ is updated to 1.7.1, anyway. (FYI, there are two separate, yet equally important threads that discuss each part of this. One was the 'communication' thread, and the other is the version update thread from Rocket.) -
Basically done with this game for now. Sadly, it's just a slow paced deathmatch.

I'm betting you won't be back' date=' save to destroy your enemies by posting your continuous drivel on these forums. I agree with you on this point more than any. Unfortunately, a lot of us who posted helpful and useful information (yeah, it happens) seem to have given up in responding to the latest wave of bad ideas. We've all replied before, and I have personally lost almost 400 posts - some of them, even good! - so I'm pretty bummed, overall. And I agree with previous posters. This thread needs to die, and go away. I mean, after all, we already have about a hundred more stating the same things. -

Your opinion is noted! I think you're right' date=' as Bullfrog has also pointed out that my original idea needs 'work'... In the original '50/50 scenario', it should (in my opinion) maybe be tipped more in favour of sound... So, maybe 70/30? In a horde of 10 scenario, that would mean 7 equally placed zeds may attack the shooter, while 3 may attack the victim. Are we getting closer to a better vision of this? Do you have any other ideas or criticism? (I'm [i']totally open to it, by the way.) 100% agreed, within defined parameters. -

Yes' date=' but usually they're [i']running the other way. If you're going to make the realism connection, at the very least, make a gunshot have a chance at scaring the zeds away. (Wouldn't that be a fun game? LOL.) -

Yes' date=' because if I smell a steak cooking or hear popcorn popping, I'm going to run after the popcorn. [i']WHAT? You had me, and then you lost me. The zeds are looking to feed, and currently they are seeking out loud noises, which makes ZERO sense. Noise should NOT equal food, at least not primarily. And my idea is awesome. :D
